The green feather you see is just part of the lab's decoration. You can't get it or make it part of your collection.
So sorry for calling you Pineapple, Pam!! *blushes* Thanks for all of the helpful hints. I only lack 2 things on my Nature Faction having everything done. I see what you mean by "calling all available builders" when it comes to the statue! I have started a Magic Faction, and had something interesting happen. I'll put it in the form of a spoiler....
One of my villagers (thru an island event) found a crystal wedged somewhere. I chose to let him keep it. He turned into twins, with the other one being the opposite in likes/dislikes! He started out 'looking sinister', but after I put him to work, he behaved normally....so far. Got that game on pause until I finish my Nature Faction. Lol.
Yes!! I got the award.
2 minutes before Puca died.
Merci, gracias, arigato, thank you!
3 small huts, the statue, the clothing store, clearing leaves, repairing the bath, uncovering the cave, and the lift, is there anything else to build?
If not, then do I need to train anymore builders?
To Mystic Light:
If you've solved all of the puzzles, you won't need anymore builders unless you want to get the Jack of All Trades award. However, having builders helps to spread out the population when you have 90 villagers.
How do I get tech points.. I have a mac and I tried using the patches =) but they of course did not work. I'm just overwhelmed that the next level of anything is over 50,000 tech points! How do I get that many!?
Check question #4 in the FAQ at the top of this page.
I just find out that when you find all the collectibles, as in..
all feathers OR all turtle shells.. your population will be increased by 5 people!
Okay, I have all puzzles solved, and all collectibles except the "rare" final turtle shell. I've been dropping the chief up on the "overlook" for three weeks now and searching where he/she points but to no avail.
Where is that last turtle shell and what does it look like ?
Thank for the assist.
All turtle shells will be in the same area, near the waterfall. However, I can't tell you the precise spot or what it looks like because they appear at random.
I found out that when you use the potion:
and you use it on a weakened villager or their health is not at full condition, their health will increase.
And if you want to make your villager sick
lotus + black orchid + rose
I have a tribe of all girls + one elderly man and NEED adult males! Any help would be appreciated. If anyone knows of a fertility potion/event that can be used to make babies with the elderly, please share it here.
To Haily Bunny:
Male villagers can make babies well into their elderly years. There is no special potion to help with it. Give it a try and see if your older male will make a baby with your females over 18. If not, and if you have no male children, you can hope for an random island event that will bring someone new to the village or possibly a barrel of babies. :)
I have started on the statue puzzle.
It has been going on for about 2 days now, but sometimes I pause the game to make sure that I have balanced doctors and scientists.
Unfortunately my statue puzzle stuck!
i mean it's like after few moments the chief starts wandering around and stops directing the work, and all the builders have stopped pushing the statue.
When I dragg the chief back to the statue he said that he sees a good place for the statue but then he wanders off. Same as all builders including the masters.
Oh. I just read the hint at the top. Thanks.
hi,I was wondering how does 1 of my women produce triplets
Triplets will come on their own late in the game, after you buy all levels of medicine. They just happen randomly.
I can't find the cactus.
The cactus is immediately to the right of the research area. Here's a screenshot to help you.
hi i noticed that sometimes one of the villagers runs up & down the path carrying a rock "excercising" is there any way you can make them do it?
Yes, there's an energy/exercise potion that will make them to it. The potion is:
It will also sometimes give the villager a unit of building skill, but not always.
Thank you for the fabulous game walkthrough! It helped me a lot, yet I had fun! However, I have a question.
Does the village chief grant food every 24 hours in-game or real life?
The chief grants food (and the other things) in 24 hours real time. For example, if you chief grants food on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., he/she won't be able to do it again until Sunday after 4:00 p.m. If you try to do it early, you'll get a message that it cannot be done yet.
Is there anything that affects the appearance of collectibles? It seems that if I zoom around more than usual, I get collectibles. Is this true? Secondly, can you accumulate tech points if you create potions?
I bought level 2 of my faction and the bush is not where the walkthrough says it should be. does it need to grow? or did I do something wrong? any help would be great
The only thing I'm aware of that effects collectibles is when the chief points out a rare one. Other than that, they seem to be random.
And no, making potions doesn't accumulate tech points.
Try exiting the game and going back in. Sometimes it just needs to reset. You can also check question #1 in the FAQ at the top of this page for screenshots.
has anybody else ever duplicated an item 3 times?! its possible but you gotta be quick!
During this game play I have come across three of the collectible tablet pieces. My question is will these pieces continue to appear once the cave is completed? If not how do we go about finding the rest of the collectibles?
The tablet pieces will continue to show up.
Where is the multi-colored, stick shaped item?
I need to know because I have all the other props exept that one.
The items to restore the alchemy lab are in different locations for each game, so I can't tell you where to find it. However, I can show you a screenshot so you know what it looks like.
Help! My 2 master builders are refusing to rebuild the lift. And my chief is like 9 years old, so she has no skill and it is telling me only adept builders can work there. Am I doing something wrong? I have almost no food. My tree isn't running out, it just says "not enough to harvest". Will it replenish on its own?
About rebuilding the lift -
You need 3 Adept Builders to repair the lift. Your tree will replenish, but it will take awhile. Have your chief make magic food, too. Check question #2 in the FAQ at the top of this page for more help.
I finished the game!
And its so cool that after all the puzzles are done, the tribal chief gets to lecture all villagers (including adults) anytime!
Help! One of my villagers is really sick and the curing potion only works when your tribe is eating well. My tribe is not eating well!
If your villager's health bar shows "weakened", you'll need the potion. However, if it says "sick", you can have another villager heal the one who is sick. There's a substantial difference between being weakened and being sick.
If your villager is weakened, try a lesser potion:
The villager may die of starvation, which is just part of how the game works.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have one villager who gets stuck. He works and then just stands there. I watched him for 10 min and I can't tell if he is lazy or has adhd or if it is a glitch? Do I need a patch?
What does it say in the description at the bottom of the screen when you click on your villager when he's just standing? Also, what is his rank? Trainee, Adept, or Master? Villagers tend to do nothing more often if they aren't trained. You have to stay on them pretty hard sometimes to get them to keep working until they gain more experience. I doubt it's a glitch. Probably just a lazy or unproductive villager.
I have a minor problem. I tried to wait for the fire to go out but the time was down to one minute and still no sparkles. When the fire went out, there was nothing there to pick up. If I put a villager on the spot, the action bar would say "confused". I have an adept and master scientist but my master scientist has a baby and the adept one said "confused" when I dropped her on the fire pit. Can someone help?
You just need to build your fire again and keep it burning until you see the white sparkles, then let it burn out. Afterward, it's a good idea to always keep a fire burning because it aids in the health of the village.
I have done the duplication of an item 3 times several times. However, I have only done 4-time duplication only one time. It's possible! You have to have super-quick fingers!
hi, me again...i have tried 6 times to make the shark solution...i am a magic so i used 2 roses and the berry...it just blows up. i have tried it with a master and an adept and an elder and it is just not working, is there something else i need? p.s. i restarted and my little villager was working fine. i think he was just having a bad day.
Are you using scientists to make the shark potion? Also, please tell me where you are finding the herbs you are using. Describe their location and what they look like. we need to make sure you're using the right herbs for the potion.
The correct shark potion for the Magic Faction is rose+rose+berry bush.
The potion sometimes blows up if you don't have advanced alchemy, but you should be able to make it work with what you've got.
Hi, me again :P
I've been having problems with the diamond, it appeared in my fire pit, but I can't get it to cool down. I've tried using water several times but it wouldn't work. How long does it take to cool the diamond down?
You just need to put villagers under the waterfall to carry water to the stone until it cools off. It takes a lot of water. You should end up with a line of villagers carrying water. Easily 10 or 15 trips to cool off the gem.
I cannot get any of my master builders or the chief to start building the scaffold for the statue. Three different builders see the location for it, but they never build it. I have L3 Restoration and leadership. The plan has been written. I've exited and came back in many times. Thanks
About the statue -
It has to be a Master Builder who builds the scaffolding. The spot is about halfway up the path beside the statue. Drop the Master Builder there and he/she will build the scaffolding.
Hey, is there a certain way to have twins or triplets, or is it just a game of luck?
Twins and triplet are random and come later in the game after purchasing medical technology and improving overall health of the villagers.
New Query, what significance does the cave under the rubble hold, if any? :)
The cave tells part of the story and has markings that help solve other puzzles.
Help i've no food, my trees are taking a life time to replenish!!! to make matters worse i've no kids, so no shrooms, i'm terrible at this game :0
Check question #2 in the FAQ at the top of this page.
You may also want to start your tribe over again and use the strategies that you've learned to be more successful.
i cant get my girls to have babies! they keep going indoors but a baby never shows up. anyone know whats going on?
nevermind finally got her! it just took some time!
Check question #7 in the FAQ at the top of the page for more help with babies.
OK I have finished all puzzles but I still can not find or collections
there is still one to find for each one
including the tablet can some one help with this please
i finished the bath but the plans are still up. what do i do?
The items for the collections continue to show up randomly. You just have to be in the right place at the right time to get the ones you're missing. Also, if you're missing rare items, you can have the chief point them out every 24 hours. You may get duplicates, but it may also bring up the ones you need.
The bath plans are supposed to disappear with the bath is finished, but there's a bug in the game that sometimes won't erase the bath plans. However, you can still draw the statue plans on top of the bath plans and you can still finish the game. The bug doesn't interrupt game play.
How does one make a master doctor if no one is ever sick? I made a few like the healing prerequisite but no one has ever made it to Master Doctor level :( How can they practice if no one is ever sick? help?
About training doctors -
Once you purchase level 2 Medicine, you can train doctors at the hospital to the right of the science lab. It works just like training scientists. Drop a villager on the table area where the beds are and he/she will gain experience as a doctor.
hey does anyone know what is behind the door at the top of the path? a diamond in my fire got used as 1 of what looks like 3 door keys, so it must open sometime? Also, how do I get the purple diamond off the cliff near the lift? and if this is another key, where is the 3rd?
The things you are asking about are different puzzles to solve. You can find lots of specific information about them in the walkthrough at the top of this page (also check the FAQ). If you still need help, write back and I'll help you on anything you get stuck on.
if my cheif is a female, can she have babies?
About your female chief -
Yes, she can have babies, but she won't be able to do any of her chief things while she's nursing.
i think the bug in the game wont let me finish. every time i try they say this project must be followed first. i already finished the bath. what should i do?
Try exiting the game and going back in to see if it will reset. Another option is to go back to the site where you originally purchased the game and download it again to make sure you have the newest version. Lastly, if it still will not let you get past the bath plans, contact customer service where you purchased the game for assistance.
I am having trouble getting one of my females to have a baby. I have tried every combination, but none of them end up with a baby. Any help you can give me?
Did you check the FAQ at the top of this page? Question #7 has helpful information about babies.
HELP!!! I have almost managed to get the statue to the top of the hill with the help of the chief and many builder. It is now just sitting there and no one will push it anymore. I interrupted my chief from directing work.. I have tried a million times send them up to the statue again, but they won't work anymore and the chief won't direct them anymore.
It seems to me if I don't finish this puzzle #9, I'm pretty much stuck.
I do have this game for so long but I just started a week ago, I can't remember where I purchased the game. Can anybody help me please?
Check question #5 in the FAQ. I'm afraid there's nothing else we can do for you here if you don't know where you purchased your game.
I have completed puzzles 1-8, 10, and 13-14, and now I am stuck. Mainly confused as to why my orchard is no longer replenishing, I know it comes with time, but my orchard has been emptied 3 days ago (literally, not in Isola time) and it only produces 8 fruit per tree. I've been doing the rain dance as often as I can to get fruit from the trees above using the lift, and ofcourse getting the children to pick up the various of mushrooms that are also becoming more rare. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Any hints on what to do? I know there is no secret potion, but just wondering if anyone has had this issue.
I am also not gaining much tech points as there is no puzzle for me to complete at this time until I level up on the faction and etc. Which has gotten my game to a stand still point. There are days now, where I only come in a few times a day now to check up on them, to make sure the villagers are still alive, since I am so low on food, (now at 0!!)
Any other helpful hints minus the walkthru would be greatly appreciated, I know this is a waiting game, but I seem that I will literally be playing this game for a month before I can complete anymore puzzles.
I am just about at level 2 for everything minus science and faction and I currently have 18 people, 0 food, and 1706 tech points.
First of all, check question #2 in the FAQ at the top of this page.
Your main problem is that you haven't solved puzzle 11, which should be a priority in this game.
One other point - You said you're not earning many tech points because there's no puzzle to solve. Tech points are not tied to solving a puzzle. Your scientists earn tech points all the time and you should plan your population so that you always have plenty of people at the research table so that you can level up enough to have an unlimited food supply.
If you still need help, let me know.
So, My Builders are pushing the statue, but it wont be done for 17hrs or something, is there any projects to do (minus bath, lift, all the huts, etc basically i've done them all) to get more or better skilled builders??
Check question #8 in the FAQ at the top of the page.
Level 3 of Leadership says the chief can help the children find a rare collectable. I put the chief at the top of the path and it says she is helping locate the collectable but I never see a rare collectable. Is there something else I need to do?
When you put the chief at the top of the path and he/she does the little dance and points, that means there definitely is a rare collectible on the island at that moment. You have to search for it in all the usual spots where collectibles appear. It will only be there for a short time. They appear at random like all other collectibles.
Does anyone have a list of all the potions?
[Edit: Have you checked the section marked "Important Potion Recipes" above? Check the last item in that section, it's a list of all the potions. -Jay]
None of my villagers will pick up the dried grass; they just look at it.
Are you sure you're in the right place? Here's a screenshot of the dry grass that will hopefully help you.
HELP!I DONT WANT TO REPLAY MY GAME!
before this, i did not have enough space for my villager to reproduce babies. so i make them build the hut BUT! i left the game running for a couple of days without attending to it. so when i'm back. They're all old. And it just so happen the 2 child i made before i left the game are both male!
now they are all old and cannot reproduce.
not even the fertility drug help.
I can't find the lotus plant! can find rose, tiger lily, cactus, and orchid, but I can't find anything else!
The Lotus is directly to the right of the bath. Here's a screenshot.
Female villagers cannot have children after the age of 50. Nothing will change that. At this point, the best you can hope for is that a new villager or a barrel of babies will arrive in the form of a random island event.
It's a good idea to put your game on pause if you're going to be away for awhile. :)
i am stuck. i have level 2 on everything except my faction. My orchards are rarely producing any food. i have completed puzzles: 1-8, 10, 13 & 14. i cant complete anything else. and my tech points are raising so slowly.
i have 6 of my adult villagers researching so i can try to gain tech points. I have 2 kids, so i am trying to collect as many doubles as possible. any suggestions on what i can do?
I am playing all three VV games at once and I have two problems.
First, in VV1, I have a women who has been nursing for six VV years. Same baby. Her details always say, "nursing for 120 minutes." I can't get the clock to start running down on her time remaining. While she's been nursing this baby, my other nursing female has produced three babies. Anyone experience this? I only have two females of childbearing age so I need to get this fixed!
In VV3, I returned to my village to find everyone dead except two nursing women and a girl, who turned out to be the chief. Just as I had dreaded, the two babies turned out to be girls. I'm pretty sure that the only way I'm ever going to get some breeding going on is if I experience the crate of babies... and they're not all girls. Is there any way to trigger island events? Or artificial insemination?
Please see my answer to Nat on November 17, 2008 at 12:32 a.m.
You need to ask your question about VV1 over in the VV1 forum located here:
About your problem with all females -
There's no way to trigger island events and there's no possibility of having babies without a male. In addition to the barrel of babies, there is also an island event that brings a lone villager (usually a male) to the tribe.
I think I encountered a bug in Virtual Villagers 1.00.04. For Puzzle #9, after I had completed the bath and Level 3 Restoration & Leadership, I flew a chief - then a Master Builder - over the top of the path, where they saw a place to anchor the statue. I dropped a Master Builder there, and the game said it was too difficult without plans, so I took them to the chalkboard where they drew the plans for the bath again. Did I miss a step? I can't get them to draw plans for the statue or build its scaffolding.
Yes, you have indeed encountered a known bug in the game. According to the developers, you should be able to still do the statue puzzle even if the bath drawings don't disappear from the chalkboard after the bath is completed.
First, be sure to exit the game and go back in to reset everything. Drop a Master Builder on the chalkboard. It may put the statue drawing on top of the bath drawing, which will look like a mess, but it will still work for doing the statue. After that, drop a Master Builder on the spot to build the scaffolding. It should work. If it doesn't, you may try going back to the site where you originally purchased the game and download it again.
How can I keep my villagers on a certain task, or at least away from another specific one?
Now that they can fish, most of my villagers spend all their time fishing, no matter how often I place them back on restoring the hut nearest the hive.
I have a population of sixteen, and a stockpile of thirty thousand fish, and they're still fishing for all they're worth. Since they seem to eat 1-2 times per "game year", I figure I have approximately one thousand years' worth of fish, and a pretty good olfactory defence against invaders in the deal.
To keep your villagers on task -
Be sure to set their new preference on the details screen. Watch them closely and keep returning them to the right task until they reach "Trainee" statue. After that point, they generally stay on that job.
heres a tip for ancient bath to be completed quickly
put all your adults to fix the bath then exit the put your clock 2 days ahead then pause then exit then set your clock back to reguler then unpause game and you should have a completed bath
[Edit: It's a bad idea to change the computer clock. It can mess up the game and other functions on the computer. I strongly advise against it. -Pam]
Just a couple tips for food, and increasing parenting skills.
A good source for food
Once you have completed puzzle #5 and grow all three trees, you need to have the needed villagers do the rain dance. Then, when it starts raining, have a villager stand on the lift. When the villager is lifted a seed will again fall. A villager can then collect the seed as food. This can be done as often as the lift returns to the ground.
Increasing parenting skills
A great way to increase parenting skills is to use your elders. Older females can not get pregnant, so you can continually drop a male on an older female. His skill level will increase without having another mouth to feed.
Help, Im level 2, found a gem in fire pit. Cooled it off. Can't figure out who picks it up or why. Now every time I drop a person on it it says "looks like a nice place for a fire". What should I do? Thans for help on everything else. I have come and come from help section now many many times for your help.
Does the gem still show up in the fire pit? Try exiting the game and going back in to reset the game.. Any of the villagers should be able to pick it up once it's cooled off.
Lately, when I put someone on my lift and retrieve the fruit, my food amount does not go up. I let the person walk to the food bin and see them deposit the fruit. Do I have to wait for the bucket to dry out and for the villager to come down on their own? I've been picking them up, putting them on the fruit and trying to force the process to go faster. Do I need to be patient and let them slowly lower to the ground in order for the food they gather to count? This seems to happen with the rain dance more than natural rain. Thanks!
That's not a viable source of food. Those pieces of fruit are intended to let you plant the orchard and then use the fruit from the trees as your food.
If you have more problems feeding your village, check the FAQ at the top of this page. You may find some help.
