Liong: The Lost Amulet dares to try something different with the Chinese-themed item finding/tile matching game. The visual presentation and soundtrack are nothing short of exotic, and the gameplay mashes some interesting ideas into an unfamiliar frame that works better than you might imagine.

Samsara Room A clock. A telephone. A mirror. A chest of drawers. This room looks ordinary... but it's missing a door, which would seem to be important to the whole "escape" focus. But this stylish and surreal point-and-click game from Studio Maarten will surprise you with its clever concepts and unique approach, even if the ending is a bit of a let down.

Alice is Dead: Episode One The first in a creepy new point-and-click series set in a Wonderland a few degrees off from the one you may recall. A gruesome sight greets you when you open your eyes in this fractured fairytale... but just who are you, anyway? To find out, first you'll have to find your way out and dig a little deeper into the mystery. Provided you're prepared for what you may discover on the other side of the looking glass.

Me and the Key 3 The ever elusive key. Is it the ongoing quest to open more treasures or doors or find answers to life problems? Whatever it unlocks, this creatively simple point-and-click puzzle game from Bart Bonte is the key to an endless smile—or at least one that will last through 25 increasingly tricky and not-altogether-too-easy levels. With the help of some dapper penguins, figure out how to uncover the hidden key in each stage in order to move on to the next.

Rizzoli & Isles: The Boston Butcher Lend us a hand? The dock workers down in Boston are missing two... or at least, the corpse they found is. The police department suspects it may be the work of a prolific serial killer who's been in hiding for years, and it's up to you to track down the evidence and the suspect in this gorgeous but finicky point-and-click adventure from PastelGames.

Midas Legend tells us of King Midas, granted a gift by Pan that all he would touch would turn to gold. The tale is the inspiration for Midas, a puzzle platform game by Wanderlands, and overall winner of the Ludum 22 Game Jam. In it, you must guide the king to his love, but not before you reach the river that will wash him of his "gift". The theme for the competition was "Alone", a word that's perfectly captured by this short, challenging, and even poignant game.

The Fog Fall 3 Everybody wants something... including you. But if you want to get to your destination you'll have to learn that sometimes you have to grease a few palms with irradiated deer meat to succeed. Really, that's a life lesson! Pastel Games continues their post-apocalyptic point-and-click series in this third installment where you find out that the world may be bigger and more dangerous than you thought. Make the right friends to succeed in your journey... just don't make too many enemies...

Clockwork You know what really grinds my gears? Not being able to get that golden gear out from underneath that mess of beams and curves. In Clockwork, you can slide and shuffle your cares away in a clever puzzler where it takes perfect synchronization to free the gear from its elaborate entrapment.

Crazy Doors of Rainbow Colors A rather unusual escape game that allows the player to temporarily detach from in-the-box thinking; in order to escape you must find and follow a new sort of logic, one that is strange yet intuitive. That quality, along with the game's simple and colorful appearance, made me feel like a little kid. When I finally finished I had a huge, silly grin on my face.

Don't Escape 2 ScriptWelder returns with another clever anti-escape game, this time taking a more point-and-click adventure route as you desperately search for a way to secure an abandoned building against a horde of incoming undead. You have limited time, and your actions have consequences... can you figure out how to stay safe and alive?

Puzzle Boy Flash Puzzle Boy Flash is a puzzle game of the block-pushing Sokoban variety. Your goal in each level is to get Puzzle Boy to the exit stairs, using only the [arrow keys] to direct him. Push blocks and rotate turnstiles by walking into them. Bridge gaps by plugging them with boxes. If your brain likes to be teased, tickled, maybe slapped around a little, give this one a try.

Samantha Swift and the <br />Golden Touch Fans of Samantha Swift's previous caper have cause to rejoice. The Tree of Life Tree of Life is an inventory-based puzzle game from Target Detected. Throughout the game's set of nearly 30 levels, you'll place arrows, element changers, teleporters, etc. on the pathways, guiding your element to collect all of the stars before heading to the exit. It can be tricky navigating some of the game's more sprawling levels, but you didn't expect restoring life to an ancient tree would be an easy affair, did you?

Abacus A four-walled room escape game with simple, gradiented graphics and plenty of puzzles, most of which center around a particular theme. In this case, the theme is the blue enigma machine over on the cabinet there and the circular tumblers that it uses. Solve puzzles all around the room, get everything figured out, and eventually get that door open. The puzzles show a bit more variation than Otousan's games typically do, and the game as a whole is a bit longer and more substantial (it must be, there's a save feature this time!), which is good for those of you who found the developer's past games too easy.

Reincarnation: All Hallow's Evil In this new fun-sized Halloween-themed installment of the popular Reincarnation point and click adventure series, control the snarky demon as he attempts to see if Darcy, a soul that has escaped from down below, has taken up his old ways. Use the mouse to manipulate and combine objects to complete your mission.

Prelude of the Chambered Minecraft creator Markus Persson's entry into Ludum Dare is a first-person dungeon crawling exploration adventure. Escape from your cell and explore a surprisingly large series of connected dungeons, discovering new items and abilities, and searching for valuable treasure. An unforgiving death system and lack of a map may prove too frustrating for some players, but for a game made in just 48 hours this is one surprisingly big and fun adventure.

Escape from the Scenic Room You're in a room with a beautiful view of the horizon. An Escape from the Scenic Room might be the last thing you're interested in doing, but in Tesshi-e's latest escape game of the same name, that's exactly what you're tasked with. The bouncy accordion music somehow fits the atmosphere quite well, the visuals are realistic but not overwhelmingly so, and the puzzles are well-designed and flow perfectly.

Pheus and Mor Pheus and Mor, a boy and his dog. Best friends forever, right? This puzzle platformer puts that to the test, combining stunning, dreamlike levels with ominous foreshadowing for a flawed but engaging experience. Both characters will have to work together and use their strengths to get to the end, but are they ready for what's waiting for them on the other side of that locked door?

Qink Qink is an innovative puzzle game that is the unholy union of a Rubik's Cube and a Tangram. You might not think there's anything wrong with mixing those two ingredients. They are both puzzles, after all. But consider that one is a three-dimensional puzzle and one is a two-dimensional puzzle, and mating two entities that follow entirely different physical laws is wrong. The result is unusual and unique, scoring major points with us.
