Mozilla: my new best friend

As long as there is Open Source and Mozilla, it will be my browser. I just installed it today and I love it. Having used Netscape since literally the beginning of the Web, and since it's based on Mozilla, I didn't think there was any reason to change. Well, Mozilla made the transition so smooth that I am impressed indeed.

Especially of interest is the ease at which all my pages are rendered... and perfectly! Also, the ease of use in disabling pop-ups: the first one I came across, Mozilla popped up a dialog asking me if I'd like to disable all pop-ups except for the sites I specify. Very nice. I'd like to see all you Internet Explorers try that with your browser.

Anyone who doesn't give Mozilla a try is just plain missing out. And why would anyone want to use Microsoft's product when there is a free, safe, and superior alternative?

Go ahead then, click the logo... I dare you.

ah, the battle cry of the Programmer..."open source"..."redering"..."you Internet Explorers"...
:^)
some of we lowly, simple-minded end-users would probably try things like Mozilla, but if said browser made a mess of other things [like their humble operating system, etc.] we wouldn't know the first thing about how to fix it...

But it doesn't make a mess of ANYTHING Dave. And it's far superior.

But honestly Jay, if you're enjoying Mozilla you should try the Firebird version. It takes out all the bloat and reduces the footprint drastically. Loads faster, but is built on the same engine. Then if you're feeling frisky you can DL the stand alone mail client designed to go with it, Thunderbird. I've been hooked on Mozilla since before 1.0 and I have to say I'm glad I moved to the Firebird and Thunderbird distros. They're much lighter on the CPU and Memory usage and load infinitely faster than their bigger brother without sacrificing any of the features I've come to love.

Thanks, Configsys.boy... sorry I don't know your name, though I have visited your site many times and I have even attempted to find out what your name is, though to no avail. I may try Firebird sometime, though don't look at upgrades very fondly due to the ease at which a Windows configuration can be muffed up. Please don't hold it against me! =)
