GO Virus

KimberlyFrom developer Martijn Kunst comes another virus that wants to take over the world, or at least your computer monitor. In Go Virus, a turn-based strategy game, the goal is to cover the hexagons with your virus. The interface is simple, the virus inappropriately cute, and the music pleasant. The only thing it's missing is a player vs player option.

When it's your turn, a bar of colors appears on the left side of the screen. Decide which color further spreads your plague the best, then click on it. Your current virus will grow by occupying any of the chosen color it is adjacent to. Try to fill in the playing field with your virus before you run out of turns. In VS mode, turns don't matter. Just try to occupy more spaces than your computer opponent. The levels are randomly generated, which means when you lose, you can just blame it on the board, and the inclusion of a level editor makes for some good replay value. Though short at only 15 levels, GO Virus is definitely worth a look.

Okay, I know I am just bad at games, but I have played through Level 7 about fifteen times and I am starting to believe it is impossible to solve in only 24 turns.

The premise is kinda neat, but the execution is not really colourblind friendly. Especially the third and sixth colour from the top are hard to distinguish.

This is the same as virus-2, except with a few more options that do make the play more interesting.

Weekday Escape N°103> Dora This week on Weekday Escape! no1game gets inside your computer and asks if you WANT TO PLAY A GAME? (Maybe you should call Matthew Broderick?) MayMay isn't letting you go anywhere until you get these snails out of the yard. And Vitamin Hana turns you right 'round baby, right 'round.  ...
Supermuzhik> Tricky Supermuzhik is an arcade-action sorta-shooter game by Aimar where the titular hero proves to be much better at "defeating evil" than "protecting the innocent", as he uses his telekinetic vision to fling the latter into the former. Viscerally enjoyable in its destruction, even if its difficulty takes a surprise leap about a third of the way in.  ...
