Never heard about the term accessible game before, but it seems due to all the links and information, that there are really lots of people waiting for one button games.
The prizes are not my kind of prizes (let me win the competition-coffee-mug), but I will almost certainly send in an idea/concept.

Sorry for the double-post, but I must say the game-inspiration on the sites linked to at the contestpage is rather poor if you compare it to some of the one-button games provided here on jayisgames. As there are: minigames at globz.com (e.g. twin spin),Nekogames and tonypa's geartaker for instance.

This is a great idea. I'm not "otherly abled" (at least, not in a way that prevents me from using a computer - who needs 20/20 vision anyway), but I recently acquired a laptop and hooboy, does that pad mouse thing drive me batty. I have a USB mouse for it, but I'm kinda intrigued by the challenge of making an interesting game with one control. (Although now that I think of it, Diablo II is a game of endless clicking, surely it wouldn't be that hard to make it a matter of just mashing the keyboard...)

I agree with wouter, having looked at some of the games I'd be disappointed if JiG regulars couldn't do better!

For more ideas of single button games please see things like WarioWare (Some, but not all of the minigames are single button). Wario Land 4's minigames are also single button.

Tonypa's "geartaker" would qualify as a one-button game. It's based on timing.

There are plenty of games that are one button games, that hamtaro "go around the circle" game featured here, tonypa's game, foon's (you know him from hapland) mindwinder and others. The format does tend to be perfect for a casual game, as long as you pull it off correctly.

i think most of the commenters misunderstand the concept here... we are not talking about "mouse and one button" or "joystick and one button" or "wiimote and one button", we are talking about games with *NOTHING* but a single button for input.

and yes, i know this is a very old post.
