Krystine March 28, 2006 8:51 PM

41 is making me mad
i must be thinking too much

all i see is the rectangles and squares. i've tried all sorts of numbers, because the picture is called tw0.

can i please have just a tiny hint?

bren1598 March 28, 2006 8:55 PM

Thanks goldlocks and dragondrool for your hints.

Wow. I was TOTALLY just overlooking the obvious on that one. Kinda figured I was. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! :)

girlygirl March 28, 2006 9:14 PM

Any hints on what to do on level 41? It isn't so easy to me. What is the point of the two blank screens? I filled them in with paint but don't get it. HELP ME PLEASE!!!! Thanks

Still not getting the right answer for #44 - the subway one. Got all the info, just can't find the attraction, and google earth doesn't seem to have museums and such, just restaurants! Heelp please.

girlygirl, put two and two together!

Layers would help, or just do it by hand.

girlygirl March 28, 2006 11:06 PM

yeah thanks bluefish, I figured it out right after I made the post. can you give any hint as to what to do with the info on the sheetmusic in level 43?

goldlocks March 29, 2006 7:18 AM

@bluefish (44) : Just try google maps. It's not THAT hard. If you have the right station, it should be quite obvious.

Water, Sky and Stars

@girlygirl (43): READ the music.

Transcribe it to the letters representing the notes.

dragondrool March 29, 2006 6:06 PM

I've used paint with #41. I've blown it up, painted it to get the boxes, and played with the attributes several times over. I'm still missing it, and it still looks all white to me. Hmmm...

Krystine March 29, 2006 6:09 PM

ahh nevermind 41 was wicked easy
so far 42s pretty easy too but are

Homicide in LA

the streets(Church Avenue and East 18th Street)

im just confused about

MIX, to caeser

beakybird March 29, 2006 7:12 PM

You people who keep saying how easy #41 is obviously don't live in my world! :)
I've opened in paint and can get the rectangles. I know about the thingy in the source code about putting two and two together, and something about layers???? Someone, please help me. I need pity anyway...due to the week I've had! :) Lots of pity.

hey beakybird...

you just need to basicaly overlap the two images. i personaly just kind of eyeballed it out and did it in paint but you could just print the two images out(after being well darkened) and hold them up to a light assuming you found the second image

i hope this improved your week a little :)

beakybird, the way I actually did it - #41 - was not

layers, but that would be easier if you had them available. I just coloured in the dots from the one to the other,as if they were put on top of each other.

Sympathise with your frustration. I know all about people saying something is easy when for me its impossible!

dragondrool March 29, 2006 9:38 PM

phlakk, bluefish, or anyone else...

A second image on #41 ??? I'm assuming by image it's a second set of boxes?

Maybe that's my biggest problem. I've only found the first set. I've no clue where to find the second. I've put in anything and everything I can think of, and I've never seen anything else except for the blue screen of wrong answers.

Help!!! I am getting so incredibly frustrated.

hmm, well that definatley seems like a problem.

i seem to recall putting 7wo and tw0 together

anna, for 49:

Try opening the mp3 in notepad

beakybird March 30, 2006 10:53 AM

Thank you so much for the hint that I'm on track. Especially, thanks for the giant round of pity and sympathy. I've been spending my entire Spring Break week dealing with moldy carpet since water seeped up through my slab foundation unbeknownst to us. So now, I must find the other picture.

Krystine March 30, 2006 4:05 PM

on 42

what's mix to caesar? thats the only part i dont understand

Its MIX not mix. Which Caesar, being a Roman would understand, that counts.

Krystine March 30, 2006 5:54 PM

i ended up figuring that out right after i posted now im on 43

I have read every thing for 26 and cannot get it! i am on the quoth the raven part. i have the poem but cannot get it! I'm a little thick headed. help?

Jon, the raven keeps on saying one word, repeatedly. Have another look at the poem and see what that is.

Hi there, any thoughts on #46? I have found one clue (a shape) and it seems you need more. Is there another clue to find, and is it where I found the shape?
And what's all that about 13 wants its answer back? Is that a red herring, cos hoolam, well!

Nevermind - I got it now!!

re: 45
Can anyone give me any pointers for clue#1, please?
I've got

char vs. angler, 16th casualty, eschecmat (the king died, checkmate), battleship green? or seafoam green, dinner, it's a date

and I can't make any sense of them.
I think I've got clue #2

well it looks like you have what you need, its just a matter of weeding out the unnessicary info

on #1, run with the checkmate and 16th casualty things...the rest is just there to destract you...for now ;P

spychic April 1, 2006 4:27 PM

on 45:
Robert - I think I have clue #1, and I think I'm close on clue #2.

Clue #1:

who is the 16th casualty in a chess game?
what is a char or an angler?
i think the answer to those combined is the answer to clue #1

Clue #2

the only thought i have is that you have to use the letters in the word "something" in conjunction with the strange words in the source code

any more help would be nice

spychic, it's not the letters of "something".

it's another word that can complete each of the examples

you might use it to pass through a gate

What is the text we need for #48? Know what to do, but can't find what to do it to! Cannot apply it to what's in the pic of the previous level. So what is it? Can someone please help!

where oh where do those little numbers go?

the question "where to begin" is a very nice hint. how would one normaly answer that question? theres really only one logical answer

on 47, am I right in assuming that

I'm looking for a hidden image?

because I'm not having much luck.
I'm using safari on a mac laptop, but

I was able to find the images on levels 8 and 27

Any advice?

Thanks phlakk, had looked there, but had rejected it. Having redefined what a sentence might be it works.

Robert it is very difficult to see, and only in ie, and not always then - I couldn't see it at home at all, but at work I could - try looking in open.

leady187 April 3, 2006 1:32 AM

i have been on 35 for a week now and still no luck. I have read all the threads and tried an infinite number of words and still no luck

Actually Robert,

you may be looking in the wrong picture. And it's not a whole image as in #8 - its just a small written word. Sophie (above) has given you a hint where to look. It seems to be very difficult to find even with IE

BTW I am currently looking for help on #50.

Still on 47 and feeling supremely daft. I'm looking for something that may not be visible on my computer. Sophie, taking your hint literally, I've been

looking at the word "open" on the cover of the closed bible

I have commanded A, zoomed, contrasted, dimmed and brightened this page to pieces. I have tried IE, although that didn't work for levels 8 and 27 whereas safari did.

hmm, that kinda sucks. when i was on that level i could see it but tried editing it as if i couldn't.

i think i could barely see it when i was palying with the contrast. alt-a worked for me

moving on...
for 49

I've opened the mp3 file in textedit

Is there something coherent hidden in that gobbledegook?

For 49, look about half way through it.

I used notepad to open the mp3 and set the word wrap on so that I didn't miss the text off screen.

Anyone done 50 yet? I've been stuck on it for a while now.

50 is easy. :) You just have to trust your eyes, and answer the question.

Help on 31:

I have put swan into it and I get the next page. The only thing I see different is the lower case! This means nothing to me!!!!!

and for Wren, DON'T trust what you see. Look again.

anna, that hint for 50 is almost the same as the one on the energythief forums and I'm still not getting it I'm afraid.

I'm probably being dense, but I've tried numerous things:

The second image is a negative (almost) and is rotated by 180 degrees, but no password based on this has worked yet. Reflection doesn't work either.

Am I on the right track and just not found the right word, or (more likely) am I missing something obvious?

Just answer the question in the title by comparing the two pictures. What things have been added?

On 50

Nothing that I can see... and I've looked until my eyes crossed.

leady187 April 5, 2006 11:29 PM

35 is driving me crazy, i have been sat here for a week now and still cant get it. I have read every thread and they makes sense but i cant seem to get the word

again PLEASE HELP!!!!

Steve, sometimes we tend to make things much more complicated than they really are.
I think you're ready to answer the question now. ;-)

I thank you for your faith in me, but everything I've tried hasn't worked.

Not sure if this would even qualify as a

but I've tried nothing, zero, any references to the spiral that's formed, various numbers in reference to the html.. I've trusted my eyes and my instincts... But to no avail.

That's odd Steve. I think you should try again.
If all fails, you're welcome to PM me at the enigma forum.

Any help on 38?

Found the red herring..very funny! can't do anything with eight-thirty

Argh! I got it. On to 39....

I swear, sometimes you have to be a mindreader to figure these out!

Yeah, stuck on 56 now.

I've named all the pictures; but I can't connect them together.

Calling for help like this will get you everywhere.

Okay. 56 is behind me. Any ideas on 57?

legoman April 7, 2006 4:11 AM

so on 21...all I see is a grey box...this is a scavenger hunt but I can't figure out what to look for? somone plz help me look plz...

qaz_styx April 9, 2006 12:05 PM

Help needed on #37, please.
From reading above, I think I'm supposed to be able to see something written in the shapes formed by the reflected trees. I've been looking at it for ages and nothing is popping out at me!
Any other clues for solving 37?

beakybird April 9, 2006 7:51 PM

I made #37 wayyyy too difficult than it was.

"Reflect" on the picture. What does it say?

I need desperate help on #52 ... So far i have

the numbers in the source coincide with points on the image ... the make 2 X's or letters are E,F,E,F and A,L,G,I ...

Am I on the right track??? ... A lil nudge might help please.

could someone please help me on 41? i have the 2 images, and i keep trying to overlap them in paint but all i end up doing is covering one picture with another...not seeing any words. is there any way to cut out the squares on one of them so that i can see the squares in the other?

Need help on 40..

Found the

Found the

mini-DR and the #

Found that the number is

"a medical picture"

But I can't seem to make any of them work to get me to 41. Am I on the right track?

And isn't he the VICE president??

dragondrool April 10, 2006 6:57 PM

On #40,

find another name for the 300Hz

dragondrool April 10, 2006 9:09 PM

Okay. On #48. I deciphered the code in the picture. That was easy.

I know it goes back the the start page

I know that the bulleted items are sentences, as per the source code

Is there a whole load of counting in my future?

I did try using the word count feature in Word, and my numbers matched with what I manually counted before. I tried listing the numbers together. No go.

Any hints on what to do with the info once I have it?

no xes 4 u April 12, 2006 12:02 AM

energythief, I don't know if this is important, but...

When I typed your name - energythief - into Google Image Search, it produced a picture that allows access to Level 10.

Just an f.y.i.

no xes 4 u April 12, 2006 12:12 AM

Excuse me, I meant

level 19. Too.

Are you gonna allow this??

no xes 4 u: YIKES! That's terrible... anyone have any idea of how to rectify that?

how do you all do this ... level 3 ... so its not a jif file ... where do I get one of those? How on earth does it end up as bucket ... crazy ... so confused ... please tell me ... hate not knowing! You must all be very clever people!

Welcome to the confusing world of Enigma!!
Hope you don't have a life ;)
It is very important that you always pay close attention to 3 things
1. The title of each page (It appears at the top of your browser)
2. The source code of each page (in your browser click "view" then source.
3. The name of individual images on the page (this can be seen in the source)

Look carefully at all of these things in # 3.

It is gif not jif
try typing in the image name with this new information in your browser-replacing the current name of the page you are on.

Good luck!

Number 39. Have been on it for 2 days.

Got all the way to sorting the picture, connecting the +/- to make a "box". sorted, folded, printed. mirror imaged, held to light backwards etc.

some words I have 'thought' I could see include also, algae, show, rose, myself,.. most prominent is the "ve" located 'outside the box'.. I can not make out a thing/word that works..

PLEASE someone help with this. Made it this far with minimal help, maybe my eye site has gone :(

I can't get 25!!! I figured out the opposite thing from 'moor', but none of the others make sense! please help

Hi all -
My first post never showed....
I have been lurking here for a while-and wanted to join in.
I feel like a moron on #45.
I can't even get to the hint pages!!
I see the two 'eggs' in the original page

I see the word 'not' in the white pegs and 'here' in the red

But I can't figure out how to use them!!!
For Snapple #39:

I wish I could help you! That one totally kicked my butt and I wound up having to ask somene for the answer - very depressing. Even after I got the answer - I still didn't get it! If anyone wants to share a true walkthrough on that one - I would certainly be forever grateful

For Suikotsu #25:

It's been a while since I worked that one--but I can tell you that 'moor' was a big clue to me - a light went off -- as I can think of only one famous 'moor'

Please some kind soul help me with 45!

kingforaday April 16, 2006 10:54 AM

Stumped on 53. anyone able to help?

I can't get 28 no matter what! I have taken every URL i can find, and typed 'dice' into it, but nothing will come up. I can't get to this stupid 'min and max' page, and i don't understand what people mean by "don't include the HTM" Please at least tell me (without using stupid riddles)how to get to this min and max page!!!

Btw, thanks for the help on 25, I really suck at the history stuff.

judyg8or April 16, 2006 4:44 PM

ARGH- I loathe riddles--
can anyone help with the answer to #48?

Yeah judyg8or I searched that pic for many hours and its just NOT there. Luckily i was able to find the answer elsewhere.

for 45

This part was so obvious it jumped right out at me. Think about each peg corrosponding to a letter and that should take you to the next step.

currently i'm dying on 48: translated the code, know where to use it and know about the bullets but still the code is fuzzy to me :(

Alson on 48:

WHERE are these numbers ppl keep talking about?

You can ignore my previous posts i'm currently struggling with 53. :P Considering less than 100 ppl have gotten this far I'm still proud of myself.

I am still stuck on #42. I the solutions to all 5 floors but cannot put them

into the URL. I have them in the proper oreder like the HTM

shows us but NADA, ZILCH, NOTHING!!!

Which one is #28?

judyg8or April 18, 2006 5:59 PM

Snapple---for the numbers on 48...

scroll down on the source page

For 53:

Where can you look for a place that might have birthdays listed? Enigma Fourms maybe?

suikotsu April 19, 2006 5:02 PM

Nevermind that, i finally got it! The butterfly one has been bugging me for days! I can't think of anything else but word length and location of the word, and i have no other ideas

Does the "Egg" "larva", etc. in the page title have anything to do with the answer?

girlygirl April 20, 2006 1:00 PM

Any help on 46? I am so sick of battleship. PLEASE!!!!! :)

hey can't figure out number 45...

clue one escapes me.

i got some clues like "char vs. Angler" and they are both fish. and i got the whole checkmate thing but not how it applies to the causilty.

i think i got clue 2.

please help me.

On 51...someone told me to view the source of

the pic page (the Monopoly one),

but wasn't able to do so...I've googled everything from boardgames to money to motorcycles and still have nothing...could anyone offer any further assistance? I'd appreciate it! =)

Any help on 48? I have the #'s just don't know what to do with them. What is the code on the pigpen page? I can't figure it out.

AkelaDon May 1, 2006 3:59 PM

Level 20

I have the 4 cars ... and I think they're correct. I can also see the clue re: TTF
and the clue on the plates 3rd,1st,2nd and 4th

I've tried all the combinations I can think of and nothing works.

#1 is Christine plate 3rd, #2 is Herbie plate 1st, #3 is the General Lee plate 2nd and #4 is Kitt plate 4th

I've tried rhet.htm & rhet.ttf

I need a nudge in the right direction please.

Oh man, I'm STILL stuck on #44. I've done everything, and I do mean everything. I've re-read the clues over and over, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't do it. Probably just because I'm complete rubbish at reading maps. Someone want to post or email me a step-by-step walkthrough for 44? Please?

I'm desperate... haha.

I cant find anything for level 20 with all th hints posted here. Can someone please give me a grear hint for level 20????? I need it...

aryarulz May 5, 2006 7:01 PM

can someone please send me the answer to #20 i need major help

beakybird May 7, 2006 8:40 PM

OK, benevolent people.
I am working on #52.
I used the coordinates to make x's. I have some words now. I don't know what to do with them, nor the significance of anything on the picture, including circled words, colors, etc.
Also...what does it say next to the word sailboat in pencil? I cannot read it.
Any help will be appreciated and my eternal gratitude will be yours.

Eyesofblue227 May 9, 2006 10:44 PM

Stuck with #52 also...gathered that you need to mark two x's and find two words at the intersection of each x.

one for the directory and one for the pic page, but clueless on how to come to those words from the given coordinates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

snapple May 13, 2006 6:46 PM

Anyone got something after you decode the codes on the new 63?

beakybird May 13, 2006 11:21 PM

On 52, which I made harder than it was, of course, you'll need to:

paste into paint and find the pixels which generate the coordinate pairs you found in the source. Then, connect the dots. Ask me again, if you need more help than that!

Eyesofblue227 May 14, 2006 1:06 AM

OMG...I am so dense; thank you so much! I was at my wits end over that one. It was so incredibly simple. Ironically, was really overthinking too much. Thx again. You rock!

Eyesofblue227 May 14, 2006 2:25 AM

I have the two words now, but they don't work...or I am applying them to the browser wrong? I checked them over three times; I know they're correct. What's going on here? Plz help. Thanks for your time hon.

Eyesofblue227 May 14, 2006 3:07 PM

Nevermind...had one word wrong...Thanks for all your help...onto 53!

girlygirl May 15, 2006 11:10 AM

Was wondering if anyone had anything on 64? I got past the first one and am now stuck on the second jpg. HELP????

I am still stuck on page 12.Tell me if I have to make a change.plz tell what it is.

#1 pinkelephant.htm or #2 16_9_14_11_5_12_5_16_8_1_14_20.htm or #3 sixteen_9_fourteen_11_5_twelve_5_sixteen_eight_1_fourteen_twenty.htm
any hints would help me.

RigaSide May 22, 2006 3:32 PM

yes, i have stucked in 12, and i am calc numbers in million contitions... i dont have any idea... what is correct answer? i cant see any answer. what kind is it - numbers or words... please help me! :D

AkelaDon May 24, 2006 1:22 PM

To Bob and RigaSide

Level 12 is a difficult level

The numbers in the source code can be transposed to their corresponding alphabetical letter ie: 5_1_16_14 ..... = E A P N ....

The first thing you have to do is get the playlist.
The extension for playlist is PLS

enter now_playing.pls and save to disc

Use notepad to view the playlist
Hmmmm a LOT OF NUMBERS in there

collect all of the numbers

Transpose the numbers to alphabet

9 12 1 20 18 .... = l b a t r ...

Use an anagram solver to unscramble this to get

Just say the answer to #42, please.

Okay people...stuck on #59. I would appreciate a huge slap in the face with a mega hint of some sort.

Stupid question: How would I access the name of the music playing? And the source code implies some sort of evil math equating to be done here. I suck at math!!! HELP!!!
