Hi i love the game. I didn't find tape until i accedentally clicked above the 1 shelf. Out pops the tape and i as so mad. Then i figured everything else out. C'mon if a 14 year old can figure this out every1 esle should. Thanx for the game.

Jay,all I need is a simple walkthrough;this is where I am so far:I have used the marker and darts,I know that the circle means 2,the star means 3,and the upright triangle means 4,I have installed the blacklight into the new lamp,although I can't read Japenese so I know nothing of what the game wants me to read,(although I did read Makio's note,but it still really doesn't help)and my current inventory is the photo,the blue pocketbook,and the crumbled up note.I want to know how to get the gold key out of the guy and find the razor.Jay......PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Sonic - to get the gold key out of the bank you need the tweasers, which are in the desk drawer that the silver key opens up. Look at the shelves from the side for that one.
You might also try looking at the blue pocketbook *under* the blacklight. The Japanese writing on it simply tells you to do this.
Get those things worked out, and you're almost there.
Thanks Jay and I hate to say this but that was TOTALLY useless.I need to know the EXACT spot on where to click to view the side of the shelf,and then,if I can do that,I might be able to get there.One more hint,Jay?

Ok,I'm at the safe and all I need is a COMPLETE WALKTHROUGH of what the symbols mean in numbers.

OMG,I beat it!!!!!!!!!Great game and thanks for the tips Jay ;).
ok first for everyone you click on the desk then click the cup with pens you will get the marker then go to the dart board you click the darts you get them then you go to the stereo click the picture on top you get it then you go back to the desk open the drawer the first one and get the tape go to the trash bin and inside is a crumpled piece of paper get it now if you go to the bed and click the space undeneath it you will see a blue book get it when you do look at the shelves from the view behind the head of the bed you will see behind the stereo a key after you get that key use it on the drawers on the desk the first drawer you will get a pair of tweeserz now go to the little kitty bank thats where you can get the gold key when you do you can use it on the second drawer you will get a razor use it to peel of the poster behind the poster is the safe now thats where you need to figure the rest for yourselfs hope you have fun oh and does anyone know the code for the safe?
ok finally i finished it took me one day to beat the game noone will belive me but just one day in less than 8 hours but it was tough to pass if anyone needs instructions just ask ill be on whenever so bye

never mind i figured it out
the combo is non-filled square=7, down pointing filled triangle=1, and non-filled triangle pointing up=8.
Oh and when you try and open the door click and hold it and try to slide it around to open
YAY i finished! that took so long but it was worth it.

About the bulb, getting it requires finding the coin, which happens to be the most difficult item to find. You can see the coin when you are viewing the writing on the wall behind the head of the bed. That's the best hint I can give. Click on *everything*. =)

Ah, but Anthony, me thinks you have confused a pointing down non-filled triangle with one that points up. You know it's 8 from looking at the blue book under the black light. =)

Katieh - if you have all the codes, then figuring out the combination to the safe is easy. Each symbol has a corresponding number that it represents. All the clues you find help you figure out what numbers go with each symbol.
Use your skills of deduction to figure it out. You can do it! =)
There are lots of hints and tips in the comments above to help you out. good luck!

Andrea, some hints...
1) Draw with the markers
2) Throw the darts
Note: you obtain no clues by doing 1 & 2, there is really no purpose to them at all
3) Look at the blue book under the black light
4) The picture shows you how to rearrange the books

The code took forever. The only other item that was hard was the coin. I had to click just above the arrow on the lower part of the bed frame.
And I guess i hit the pillow 31 times...lol

nvm i beat it lol funny game- the # stuff was really easy- the hardest part was realizing that that brown mark on the bed side wasnt just a glitch and that it was a 10cent coin the size of 1/2 a pillow (if the camera isnt distorted) O.o neway after that it was easy... i wanna learn to make games like these- i have some ideas for a "escape the room" / "crack the code" game where u end up actually deciphering 3 codes all intertwined (i have it all written down bwahaha ) neway im just spamming now so good bye and keep posting these awesome games :D

Amazingly, I found a bug in this game! It looked seamless! I found it using the "Tab through all of the options" method. I know that's kind of cheap, but after an hour or so, it get's kind of annoying when I can't find something, so I resort to this method. If you are facing the shelves and you tab through to the light bulb, by pressing enter you are able to obtain the lightbulb before the coin. (RRR I couldn't find the coin) Just found that interesting.

ok here is what everybody wants, u can thank me later lol, the safe is behind the poster,to get to the safe look behind the sterio and u'll see the key unlock the first draw on the desk and get the tweesers go to the piggy bank and use the tweesers to get the gold key unlock the bottom draw and get the razor and cut the poster with it!!! the code to the safe is 718, see u don't even need all that other stuff!!! But anyway when u see the note in the safe don't woorry about what it says cuz i don't speak chinese! But after u see the note then click on the door and ur done, congragulations!!!!!! Oh and by the way i'm only 13 and u grown folks couldn't figure this game out??? Pitiful but g2g bye!!!

Here is a complete walkthrough
Necessities only:
Click on the green portion directly underneath the bed to obtain a diagram
Click 2 views to the right and grab the silver key behind the stereo (side view of shelf)
Click on the picture on the top shelf to obtain the picture
Go to desk view and click on the top narrow drawer directly ABOVE the drawer that has a silver key hole to obtain the casette tape
Press the item button and drag the silver key on top of the silver key hole to obtain the tweezers
Go back to the shelf and look at the cat piggybank on the bottom shelf
Use the tweezers on the gold key in the coin slot to obtain the gold key
Use the gold key on the gold key hole drawer to obtain the razor blade
Use the blade on the poster of the guy to obtain access to the safe; Now to figure out the code: Hollowed square, upside down filled triangle, hollow triangle
In the side view of the bed, click on the extreme left side where there is a little bit of writing on the wall and note the code. In that same view, there is a brown slit on the right side below the pillow that is a coin. Grab it.
Go to the trash can and get the paper in it. Look at the code to get your first number. (#)
Making sure your item screen is gone, look at the dartboard to translate the code. (#)
Go to the desk and click on the books. Using the diagram, place the books in the correct order and read the top line only to get another number.(#)
Go to the shelf and click on the top portion above the top most shelf (making sure the item screen is gone) and you will see some writing on the shelf. Place the cassette tape on it to decode it and get another number.(#)
Go to the light bulb and drag the coin (the brown 10 circle in your item menu) to the screws to open the glass jar and obtain the black light bulb.
Drag the bulb to the lamp in the desk drawer view.
Turn off the light switch and go back to the desk drawer view to translate some more numbers (###)
Finally, while looking at the code, click on the picture in your item screen and see the last code secretly written on the picture. (#)
Use your brain and note the filled shapes versus the un-filled shapes.
Use the combination you get on the safe and click on the handle.
View the paper, click on the door and it's game over!

That was a fun game! Sure, I needed the clue about the coin and the cassette tape, but the rest was done by myself!
And to those wondering what the message was on the piece of paper, the gist of it was:
I (Mom) will be late coming back home. Make sure you do your homework. And since you're forgetful, I will write it down here. You have to pull on your door to open it, not push.

finally figured it out after an hour....and after 51 bof-bofs of the pillow, 34 tries with the chair, and 10 tries with the tape in the radio. :)
plz plz plz can sum 1 help me? im stuck i got the code but wen i type it in and clik on the handle, it keeps dissapearing and nothing happens!!!! im getting really frustrated now and im on the verge of tears so plz can some one help me?*sniff sniff*

Holy moses...This is by far my favorite point and click game. Took me about 45, and while I did read spoilers, all the ones I read were after I had already figured out that particular clue. Very, very fun.
718 doesn't work! I input the #, the handle jiggles and the number disappears.Arrrrrrrrrrgh!

I beat it!!. I'm so mad I couldn't read it at the end but thats good for the first one I passed after trying about 5 rooms total and not beating it.

If anyone is stuck, here's a piece of the walkthrough.
*WARNING*: I'm sure most of you want the game to be a surprise. Want to be spoiled? If not, don't click on the button.
Part 1:
To start, click on the dart board. Grab the 2 darts. Face the poster, and make sure you can see the bed. Click the left side to move to another section. You should see a coin somewhere in the section. Pick it up. Then look under the bed. Grab the book. Move to the view of the door, making sure you see the shelf. If you look behind the stereo there carefully, you should see a key.
how can i use the tape? u must put(drag-drop) up of shelf
u see = "blank star -> 3"
safe code is 718
when you found all clues, code will work ...

After the drawers open it is really easy. :) One thing to note though, when I tried playing it for the 2nd time just for the fun of it, I realised that u can't open the safe even though u've typed in the correct numbers because you haven't trigger /read all the clues. Nice work!!
