Hi, I have read the tip about if you drop more than one child on a collectable then you get more than one which will help your tech so I've been doing it. The only problem is, is that when I drop the 2nd child on they both run away and the collectable dissapears. Any help? Thank you.

Can't make babies
So I have six villagers and two huts and a good amount of resources but I can't make babies. Everytime I drag two villagers of the opposite sex onto eachother they go into the love hut but the woman always cones out empty handed. I've tried this many different times with many different villagers (ages ranging from 20-40) but they have yet to produce a child. My only child in the village is 11 and will stop collecting soon once they are of working age so I need another baby. Can anyone help me please?

I am trying to complete the crab puzzle and I am playing this game on my iPod touch and I don't know how to press the spacebar without the keyboard. Also, some of my villagers are dead. And there was only one male in my tribe and he is now dead. I have 3 children but they are all boys. One is 3, one is 7,and one is thirteen. IDK WHAT 2 DO! HELP!

How do you put water in the pot you use to make stew?

I'm trying to make the grand feast, and keep getting the message that it's unfinished. I put in fresh water, the hot stone, the 3 different herbs (salty, spicy, sweet), then I put adults to get berries, fruit, a fish, and food from the bin, and a kid to get a mushroom. And it's still not finished!

I've tried to watch and make sure everything goes into the stew, not the food bin, and I'm pretty sure it did. I drop an adult on the hot pot to taste, and they say it's unfinished. Any idea what's going on?

What is the 5th puzzle. And i have picked up about a hundred frogs but it doesn't say the quest is done. What am i doing wrong?

kj98, for the frogs quest, are you letting the villagers carry the frogs all the way up to the tree and release them there? You should only have to move 6 frogs, so my best guess is you might be picking up the villagers before they release their frogs up in the stream by the tree.

You have to have a villager who is an adept builder and adept scientist to install the key stone

If you are making a normal stew add a plate of food. If you are making the grand feast add two plates of food, fish, yellow fruit, mushrooms and blackberries.

Help! Okay so I don't see any other questions like this, but I have a question about one of the island events: Spoiler Alert...I was playing VV4 and it said one of my villagers saw a sealed box in the ocean, it said it would be risky to try and get to it and gave me the option to either send my villager out to get it or stay on the shore and leave it alone. I figured nothing bad would happen if I sent my villager out to get it, but it said that the waves crashed over her and swept her out to sea and now my population is down one, but her name isn't in the mausoleum so I assume she's still alive? Has anyone else experienced this and if so does the villager ever come back or are they lost forever? Is there anyway to get my villager back?

I heard of a way to get food is to farm in a dark brown patch of soil after getting food mastery Level 2. I got Food Mastery Level 2, but I couldn't find the farming patch. People also said it was to the South of the research table and another person said it was near the ocean, but it didn't help, and I still couldn't find the patch. Does it show on the screen if you drag a villager over the place? And anyway, where exactly is the farming patch?

Hey JessL, if you are talking about Virtual Villagers: The tree of life then there is no patch of soil. There is only the blackberry bush,the fruit on the trees and the fish, for farming. the fruit on the trees need to be cooked by the "earthen oven", that is under the rocks and rubble by the trees. But you have to remove all the rocks and rubble though! The fishing part is when you repair the broken bridges and you research all of your tech points and build a clothing hut. Then you can make cloth by the pulpy vines by the long stairs if you have cutting tools. You make cloth by cutting the pulpy vine,heating a stone, putting salt water in the pot,putting the stone under or in the pot. take the cloth out,set it out and put people on it until it gets to 100%. then put a person on the bridge and (s)he will start building. After it is done then you can fish. You can believe me because I have finished all of the Virtual Villagers games. If you need anymore help I'll be here. Goes for everyone,too!

To honor the tree, you first have to cook the stew then pause the game, put at least 20 villagers on the pot{not the old villagers} they will take pots full of yellow-like creamy stew to honor the tree.

I saw one of my dead villagers ghost image in the middle of the village does that mean something?

Warning if you get the island event thats called The Inspiring Scientist always use the salts. Because if you use algae you lose 1000 tech points

The strategy guide for the grand feast is wrong.
You need all 3 herbs and the fresh water in the pot, then have an adult go to the food bin TWICE.
Then, you have the berries, fruit, fish and mushroom.

The same thing happened to me. I have a master parent and when she turned 50 she stopped having babies but when she turned 65 she started having them again!

I'm guessing there's no wy to beat the game if you have the free version. The devs apparently thought it'd be a good idea to limit population to 9! This was done in 2 and 3 as well which was stupid, but it at least made it possible to win. It's impossible to honor the tree with only nine!

The hummingbirds are coming and pollinating the flower, i drop the first child on it and it says 'this flower is in full bloom' after a few more drops they refuse and say 'this flower is not in full bloom' what am i doing wrong???? please help.....
