I am stuck in River Clean Up. I have all of the barrels but I cannot find the man I am supposed to sell them to. I have been all over town. Where is he? Please help!

Are you playing as Anne? If you are, look to the right of the rat cave. You will see two cone shaped rock formations. They stand on either side of the opening to the lower half of the screen. There is a tree to the right of these rock formations. Blow it up.

Hi, my quest log still says that I have to expand the tracks to brockway. But i finished brockway town already. Do i have to actually add tracks somewhere in my town? or is there another railroad repair quest i need to finish? I cant find anywhere else in my main town where to lie new tracks. this is dumb.

I am stuck at the bridge repair quest. how do i get the skilled worker and where do i bring him to fix the bridge?
i have the factory, blacksmith and a few skilled citizens in both mining and lumbering!

River Clean Up
The man you sell the barrels to is across the railroad bridge. Pick up the barrels and drag your person to him and set them down.

I am at the part of the game where I need to make the town worth enough to sell to get into the railroad competition. What do I need to do to move to the next step. I have over 205 in town happiness.I blew up the rocks and built the railroad at the bottom of the screen. someone came and said something about 1500 dollars and just to follow the tracks. I went the the end both ways and nothing happened.

If you are playing as Henry, where do you find the chest that goes to the fat rat?

To follow Paris Hilton, click on the map at the top middle. You can't follow the tracks.

I need help with the noise ordinance section. No matter what I do a bandit shows up whenever I try to get near, even when I "engage" them first another bandit appears out of no where and the townsperson drops the bomb!! Please help!!

I wanted to ask how do you open the wooden bandit door in the upper left of the map?

Also is there anyway to access the broken wagon and pond that's a bit south from the rat cave? I tried building a bridge but I wasn't able to.

To open the bandit door, you have to reach the hostage quest. It won't open until then.

See the walk through for the fish treasure to get to the small pond and broken wagon.

I have one last question. What does the train track that you uncover after blowing up the huge rock for? I built tracks from it as far as the map would let me but nothing happened.

I am in Wrong Side - have everything done but everytime I buil the potted tree for Grace she says it is too far away from the house - I have a house completely enclosed by potted trees as close as they can be planted - Any suggestions?

How do you get dynamite? I got the upgrade. I have a general store. I've clicked on the store and the clerk. Nada! I have my license cos I built the bypass quest. ???????????

Did you unlock it on the upgrade menu? Once you do, it will take a few minutes for it to show up in your general store.

I searched and searched for the house that Grace lived in but couldn't find it. I decided to start placing potted plants in front of every house. First one I hit was the right one, EVEN THO SHE DOESN'T LIVE THERE!

Shaky Dam game - need help with potted plant

I can't seem to place the potted plant in the correct place. No matter where I place it she says it's "too far from the house". I've tried planting it by an upgraded house and an un-upgraded house.

Any help appreciated.

I'm in the Rodent Flu scene. I have gotten the cheese and caught the rats in the cave. I have found the necklace and spoken to Westley. Now where do I find the ROUS? I have seen the big red rat a couple times but was more concerned with getting the plague over so I didn't stop to shoot.

Search for the big rat and shoot him. This will end that quest.

BTW in Noise Ordinance the chest in the pit that you have blown up with TNT only contains about 40 gold. I spent the time to build a general store to find this out. In retrospect, it wasn't worth it but ya never know.

Wait a bit for the dynamite. It takes a few minutes after you have employed the general store for it to show up.

Once you find the buffalo and defeat the bandits, get the fossil, how do you get the buffalo to follow you Anna?

I am at the end of the game and it says I have to complete the logger challenge. I gave him the stump and won. I carved a statue, what else do I need to do. he is just standing there with a yellow circle. all 3 logging camps are upgraded and working.

I have defeated the bandits and picked up the fossil, but cannot get the buffalo to follow me to his owner. I even tried going back to the owner to see if that would work? What am I suppose to do?

Lasso the buffalo. He will follow very slowly.

You have to carve two different figures. Go to the menu to the 3rd build and click on the log. Then drag your hero to the log to carve it.

I know I need to shoot the big rat. My question is where to find the bugger. I've looked all over the board several times, shot all the little ones I can find, dug up and opened everything, etc.

As to the buffalo, you click on him just like you'd click on a townsperson and he will follow you.

Just keep looking for him. The rat will show up.

Anyone know how to get different types of clothing besides the two that come with the clothing shop? Thanks!

The heavy log is for the logging quest. It won't trigger until the man come to challenge your hero. Look in the walk through for details.

Can anyone tell me how to get the tnt license at the rail blockade?

Is there some way to tell what skill a worker already has?

Yeh it says 2 skills but which 2 do they have? This is bit annoying, would have been better to list which skills they had.

Am I right in thinking they can't get more skill points on the same job?

Click on your person. Look at their menu. There's a little white "paper" on the right middle. Click on it, and it will tell you what they are skilled in.

I need help finding all 7 crates that are poisining my river.. I found 6 of them but can't seem to find the 7th... I have looked everywhere!! Any hints.. I even blew up my bridges to look under them!

Thanks Kayleigh, sorry though I guess I forgot to put in that I'm in my main town... all of the crates are supposed to be in the river and I easily found 6 of them but the 7th eludes me for some reason.. it's frustrating because I now have 2 quests I can't complete lol, the river one and the fur trader.. can't find any more wolfs yet. Anyhow hopefully someone has an idea what I might be missing. Thanks

Did you get the two barrels that are in the pond? Start at the top of the screen and "walk" down the river. That's how I found them.

To get more wolves, shoot all the dear, bunnies, and rats. You will get more wolves once they are all gone.

Thank you for the tip about the wolves Boopbug.. as for the crates, I've been up and down that whole river and can't see a single other crate.. the only other thing I have left to do is destroy my fish farms and bridges to see if anything appears. I did get the two at the bottom of the river.. not sure if it's a glitch in the game or my eyes!! I'll let you know what I find after I destroy them.. taking a break to go back to the real world for a bit!

Does anyone know the value that the town should be in Railroad Repo? I've played the game twice to this point and then nothing happens. I'm up to 100,0000. Sheesh how much do they want? I hate not having a detailed goal. Any advice to the requirements at this point would be appreciated.

This is really basic but what is the spilt water bucket icon all about? I can't seem to get rid of them?

I loved all the westward games demo's, but ever since they went 3D, the graphics haven't been showing up properly on my PC. (basically buildings, scenery, etc. shows up with parts missing). Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

I'm on the rescue father with Annie the train crashed but no bandits showed up so the bandit shot the father, so what went wrong? the only difference I did from the walkthrough was to get the tnt first then went back to feed the rats.

Be sure you have a lot of lawmen in the main town before you try to rescue your father. If you don't have lawmen in the main town, none will show up.

I have the same question as OffRoadHoney - how do I unlock the last build item? It's under "Luxuries." I unlocked the Wood Lock, and built about a dozen and they all were carved into bears. How do I get her to carve something other than a bear? It's driving me nuts!

Where the hll did the dinosaur come from????

I finished the game as Anne and now have gone back to start over with Henry. I skipped the tutorials and after the train arrived, just before Henry appeared, a dinosaur popped in. I can move him around like the dogs... so I guess he's like them... but--anyone else get the dinosaur???

Not had that problem, but there is an option for changing the resolution. I don't know if that would help, but it might be worth a try. Check the Options menu and good luck!

The spilt bucket is an indication that you are out of water and/or a drought has hit. The drought will eventually end. Or, build more wells/water towers.

Keep carving logs. It's like the stables in Westward 3--eventually you'll get something else.

Have your hero carve a log and a skilled lumberman carve a log to get the different sculptures.

You got the dinosaur because you finished the fossil quest as Anne.

Sorry, I don't know what the second one is, but I thought I'd put this up to help other people. I didn't see a point in listing all the trophies, since the vast majority are uncovered from the start. :)

Someone else mentioned this same issue: I can't complete the market place challenges. I've beaten the game, and yet the last 3 challenges never appeared for me. Does anybody know what to do? Should I have waited until all the challenges were available before trying to do any?

Do you have the latest version? 1.03?

@BoopBug: Aha, no I don't. I downloaded it from Shockwave, and they must not have the latest version up yet. Sigh.

I am having a hard time building gold mines. When I try to build them I always get a message that says the mine is blocked (these are mines that look like a rock stuck in a hole). I have tried irrigating but that has not made a difference. What do I need to do differently?

The spoiler tips for Rodent Flu location are incorrect. What I mean is -- the order they are laid out makes the level more difficult.

When I play this level I definitely do things in a different order to get done faster and easier.

Also, to make this level a bit less annoying, set the volume level of sound effects way low. The sound of vomiting workers may drive you crazy mad otherwise.

I'm just wondering what the max amount of people that you can have in your town is? I have 45 but can't seem to get anymore even though I have empty housing available. Is 45 the max or is there a way to get more?
