I can't figure out how to make an outpost. Everything left to do revolves around it! Help!

I did the tree thing but I don't see a broken outpost. There's something with a platform but it's full and I can't fix it! Ugh. i am going to check again though, thanks for the help

Ok, so I just finished the game...and apparently I missed something, because I didn't get offered any missions about finding 3 keys, or a haunted town....and who knows what else I missed out on. How did that happen?? I thought you had to finish ALL the quests to finish the game. Apparently I don't...Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how this happened?

I am playing in Sandbox mode - Cottonmouth Canyon - and I can not figure out how to get to the little area under the big bridge(west area) that has a treasure chest, some seeds, etc... It's right by a river access so building a bridge across to it isn't working. Any hints?

To give the pioneer food...You just have to wait until your farm produces it. Build a granary if you can. This will help you stockpile food. If you get stuck, just consult the walk though at the top of the page.

Trading Post Quests
How do you open fences or gates. I can't get into the area with the supplies laying on the ground. In another I can't get to the island to get the supplies.

Thanks, but I don't see any help with my question. Do you mean the WalkThrough? I've read every one and all the comments too. I got lots of good tips, but... I tried dynamite but it didn't work. Any specific help would be appreciated on getting through gates and fences. Also it's too expensive to build a store to buy dynamite in the challenges where there is a set time limit.

How do you collect hats? One trophy is for nine hats and in the hat shop there are six hats,how you can get the other three?

Request helps on 2nd town treasure...

I have done in sequence as required for 2nd town treasure, but still could not proceed further... (New bugs???)

1) I have blown the tree -> Tree fell and hit the switch -> Door open
2) Accessed to the chest, and the notes said the spare key is hidden at the river entrance.
3) Go to the door entrance at the riverbank and a box pop up.
4) Click on the box, the notes saying something like ring of rocks and also old entrance dry up.
(Until here it is still fine)
5) Go to the ring of rocks and built a well. Then nothing happen. No matter how I drag the hero to the well, or click the well, or put the hero next to the well, nothing happens...

(I have been following the sequence but still no further response from the well. Is this a new bug???)

I did not built anything on the circle or rocks before. Someone please help.

Someone asked this question previously, but I couldn't find the answer. Can you have more than 40 people? I have two sheriff buildings, and I have built houses and a hotel, but no one else will come to town.

Do I need to finish the quests first? There must be something that I'm missing.

Also, I have three farms w/cows, but no butter churn. Again, do I have to finish the trading post quests first?

All I have left to do is finished the trading post quests and the disaster town quest. This is my second or third time around. The first time I missed the smuggling challenge so I'm trying to get everything there is to get from this game. I love it!!!

help!!!! i'm trying to get the second key for the rabbit treasure. i can't build a bridge to the pool with the fish and the crate. i've blown up the rocks in the river but everytime i try to build a bridge a message appears saying my hero can't reach the endlink something something of the bridge. i can't finish the bridge but i can't get rid of it either!!! help!!

In the Haunted Town, if you dont put anyone on the farm, the horsemen doesnt know what to do when he comes after about 4-5 times, he just sits at the farm, waiting.. so then I could complete the whole scenerio and not have any more people possesed.

I have found all 15 eggs, but the one in front of the cave SW, I just can't grab. I have tried to zoom in and out, but this doesn't help. Does anyone know how I can take it?

Please I need help! I can't figure out what I need to reach 20 people in my town. I have the sheriff's office, outhouse, flowers, lamp post, and I can't get past 18 people. I have the bank, ranch, 2 farms, saw mill, blacksmith, and lumber mill, saloon, general store, and trading post as well. I have done all the side quests from the sheriff's office and the trading post. What else do I need to do? Thanks for your help in advance.

I know you can only take the egg from in the water. I can't grab it, no matter what I do. What is the problem?

Do you have enough cabins for 20 people?

As for the Easter egg...you may have a bug in the game. Contact the vendor you downloaded it from.

I don't know how to hire another gunslinger. I have the 3 from the first run in with the grim reapers, but I'm being told to hire one more. I'm lost.

i'm stuck at the professional challenge. how do i go with the sheriff and deputies to the bandit camp to retrieve the crate?

HELP please!!! i've built a bridge to get to the biggest tree for the professional challenge and tried to talk to the guy at the damaged cabin (assuming it's the old outpost) but nothing happened. he didn't talk to me and i couldn't cross the bridge that is right behind him. how do it get to the bandit camp because i need this to complete the professional challenge? do i need to build a bridge or something? no matter which direction (left or right)i want to reach the bandit camp to get the crate my hero and the lawmens would get stuck and move forward. i can't go any further. please help!

To Kill the bears make sure you go after them with a posse, I used my hero 3 gunslingers and a sheriff and 3 deputies and they fell quick. Make sure you have the tannery first or your wasting you time killing them

The screen shot for eggs #12 & 13 isn't working. Anybody got an idea where the two on this shot are located? I can't tell how many I have, and I found all the ones in the other screen shots. The descriptions don't help me much, unfortunately. I've tried to figure it out just by the directions, but pictures are sooo much better, lol!
Also, how do you turn the screen around? You'd think I'd remember after playing this game a half dozen times start to finish, but I'm having a blonde moment!

Tim, you have to have a Town Hall and make Jake the mayor. If you have one already, fire who you currently have as mayor and put them somewhere else and put Jake in charge. If you don't have one, build one and hire Jake. That should give you what you need and yes, you need all the votes and Jake as mayor before you can board the train. Good luck!

This is probably really stupid.. but this is what happens when an addictive game keeps me up all night:
I have completed all of the tasks, won all of the trophies, unlocked all the secret stuff. It seems like everything that needed to be done is done, but the game just won't end. I've got almost $100,000 in the bank and have 40 people in the town as well as all the gunslingers a saloon and three sheriff's buildings can get, not to mention pumpkinhead.
The only thing I can think of that might be keeping this going is that I haven't done things in the sandbox that weren't needed for trophies..

I guess what I really want to know is, does this game ever REALLY end? Or is my town just gonna keep on thriving while I sit here bored of my butt?

Lainey, though you've gotten the eggs, you might want to know:

To turn the screen, hold down the space bar and move the mouse around (you don't need to hold down the mouse button). When you release the space bar, the view will snap back to normal.

I had to look for a few minutes on the Web to figure that one out. I like this game, but it could use a little more documentation -- that key/mouse combo wasn't on Sandlot Games' website, but on another games site. The Mac version also is a little buggy. (If you're playing the Mac version, save before you build a bridge, as a couple of times my hero would start a bridge and then I'd get an error message and the bridge wouldn't build. I'd also still be out the gold and lumber and I'd have a bridge landing just sitting there.)

You will find Willy on the far left of your screen about in the middle. He will be just a little north of the pond.

I don't know if anyone else was having this problem, but..

I finished Earthquake Valley 3 times, but each time when Harris Pilton would show up, I was unable to talk to him to complete the quest (a conversation bubble never popped up).

I'm playing the Trading post quest. I get 30 food and it doesn't recognize it at the end of the 3 minutes. Is there something else I should be doing?

Hi, I have played the game 3 times already. But I did not seem to have all the trophy. Max was 16. Have difficult with the followings:
1) What are the 3 special general store items. Only manage to have the boot.
2) as for the disaster or bandit showdown mode, do we have to chose the most difficult mode in order to earn the trophy. I have tried disaster challenge but the easiest mode, completed it but no trophy was awarded.
3) How do we employ the 3 prospectors at the same mine?
4) Do you have the name for the full list of the 24 trophies?

Hi, it's me again. I have read through 6 pages of comments and lost my patience as I am so eager to go and play the game. So figure out the fastest way to have my answers is to ask.

I have manage 19 trophies. Still short of 1) prospector trio 2) Disaster challenge 3) Bandit showdown 4) fashion designer. ( got 7) 5) treasure hunter (got the 2nd treasure)

How do I get them? Don't seem to see the relevant tips , especially on the prospector trio. Thanks.

Click on the quest tab at the top and be sure you have done everything you are supposed to do.

Okay, so I went to go build a bridge, and it started building it from the opposite side, which is where I can't reach...so I now officially can't chop down the biggest tree, or get 3 black bear skins, or plant the trees to fix the landside!!! I don't know what to do!? Please someone help me!

You will need to build a sheriff's office to get your population over 15. Be sure to save every time you build something or repair something.

Can someone please tell me how to (re)build the outpost? Is it a secret building? I have done everything I need to be ABLE to build it (planting trees, etc.) but can't seem to find it. Do I need to blow up the other one?

Drag your hero to the outpost and click on the outpost. If you have enough money and wood, you will rebuild it.

Put the light post as close to the cave opening as possible, then drag your hero onto the opening.

Please help! I have finished the game but Jose Foran is still standing in front of his cabin and when you click on him, the circle under his feet is yellow. I have completed every quest and do not know what is wrong. Thank you.

So i've built 20 stables and still no black horse. Does it show up in the one of the stables or running around or next to the last one built? I saw one answer that said see FAQ, but i don't know where that is...

Getting stuck and the game won't let you continue whn you've met all th critieria, save game and then load the game you just saved. I advise you save two games alternating to which one you save to this gives you options to go back a shorter distance rather than going back to the begining. save often.

i have get the white rabbit but every time i click on it when the hero is highlighted and gets close to it, it just runs away. anyone get any ideas.

I have all the hats except the cheese hat. I have the butter churn, completed all the quests, but no cheese hat. How do I get that?

Just click on the rabbit instead of the hero. That will crate it for your hero to pick it up.

Help! I can't get the fruit hat! I have the winery, and am selling wine at the general store. I tried building three wineries (a la the butter churns to get the cheese), but to no avail. Thanks!

Just a general tip here.

When you run into a strange happening in the game (it won't finish a quest or other strange bug like issues) save the game, quit out of the program, reopen and reload. Most issues are fixed this way.

Hi. Im hoping that my issue can be fixed and I don't have to restart.

I went through into the Haunted Town, then came out. When I attempted to go back again, this had locked and shows in the Quests screen as a red X (instead of a green tick)and is greyed out.

Is this a bug or am I doomed to restart?

Where is the last easter egg... the screen shots for #14 and #9 are the same and there isnt one for the supposed white egg in the first set of spoilers

Now that I know how to handle the haunted town, I can't get back in. I've finished everything else (so far) and tried the haunted town a couple of times already. Now my character just stands there and won't enter the tunnel. Have the light, been thru before but now he won't enter. Any hints?
