Open the spoiler for this Mystery in the walkthrough at the top of this page and look at the screen shot. I'll walk you through what you're supposed to do.

Look at the outermost rings of flowers on the ground around the tree. Note that they are in the pattern of yellow, white, yellow, white, etc. There are three flowers missing from that outer ring. You need to plant a flower of the correct color in the empty spots. Use the color that will keep the pattern going.

In the next circle, the flowers are in the pattern of white, pink, purple. Just plant the right color flower in the open spots to keep the pattern going.

Same for the innermost circle of flowers. Figure out the pattern of color and plant the missing flowers.

I don't know if all trees are identical, so your color patterns may be different than what is shown on the screenshot. But the solution method will be the same.

I hope this helps! :)

Red Rock Problem - I've Solved it.

I also had the problem of dropping a Legendary Scientist onto the rock and it not working, but if you drop a Tribal Legend who has Legendary Science and Construction skills this will solve the problem.

I used all my lodestone making more moondust. Do I have to wait for more to wash up in a barrel?

Trying to solve the stump puzzle.

I had the strong guy pull off the stump.
I made rain with the seawater/fish/stardust potion and while it was raining made the magical storm with the rainwater/fish/moondust potion and it's still telling me that the water isn't soaking in because the land is to parched. I've made it rain both rains like 6 times and it's still not working. What's wrong?

Island Hopper:

What kind of potion was it?

November 30, 2008 10:43 PM

To Pam,
Fish, Fountain, Relic. Good if you need to work on construction.

Island Hopper:

Wow! That storm tore up two huts, the shipyard, the ark, and the Celestial Tower!!

To Sue:

Yes, you have to wait for lodestone to come in a barrel.

November 30, 2008 11:08 PM

Pam,
I told you it was a bad one!!!!!

To Brandie:

Try making it do just the one magical rain, not the storm.

Fish+Sea+Stardust

Also -

Drop your person on the stump while it's raining to tend it.

I've tried that but i'll try it again. i'll be back and let you know.

December 1, 2008 12:38 AM

I keep getting notices that stardust has fallen. How do i get it and where can i find it? If someone can also post a picture of it, that would be helpful.

Also, my game keeps closing after 4 or 5 min of play. Is this normal, or is it an error i got when i downloaded the game?

I am feeling like a total dunce! I understand the different levels you have to achieve, along with solving different mysteries for all solutions to become available for the potions. But what do I need to do to collect rain water?????

Thanks ever so much!

Mellissa

Melissa - about the rain water:

just wait until it rains to mix your potion. ;)

December 1, 2008 1:15 AM

Thank you Pam so my next question do you duplicate a new circle or complete the one around the tree? Reason for asking is if that is the case how do I get rid of the flowers I planted? I added flowers so now I don't know which is the pattern and which are the ones I planted. HELP

To stormyyskyy:

Stardust falls randomly on various parts of the island. You have to search around for it and then drop someone on it to collect it. Same for Moondust.

Screenshot of Stardust -
http://images.jayisgames.com/hs_pam_mytribe_stardust.jpg

Screenshot of Moondust -
http://images.jayisgames.com/hs_pam_mytribe_moondust.jpg

About your other question, it is not normal for the game to shut down after only a few minutes of play.

You're supposed to complete the existing circles. You can try comparing your Flower Tree to the one pictured in the walkthrough, then erase the ones that don't belong and start over (there is an erase button on the flower planting screen). My only other suggestion is to let this one go and find another island that has the same Mysterious Object and solve it after your tribe moves to their next island.

December 1, 2008 2:44 AM

Thanks for the screenshots. I had no idea what i was looking for. Now, does anyone know how to fix the problem of the game shutting down after 5 or so min? it gets annoying because then the island has to reload.

[Edit: Where did you purchase the game from? If you will write to me at the "contact" email at the bottom of this page, I'll direct you to the appropriate customer support department to help you sort out the issue you're having. Thanks! -Jay]

Pam wrote:

About your other question, it is not normal for the game to shut down after only a few minutes of play.

This is a bug which has been addressed in the next version 1.02 (which I believe the developers are putting out shortly).
If you turn the sound volume up slightly so as it is not on zero (no sound), this should solve the problem for anyone experiencing the game shutting down after 5 minutes.

p.s. this information I found on the developers site.

Great Game :)

Stormyyskyy:

If your game keeps crashing make sure your volume in the game is on.

I saw a post from the programmer where he stated that having the volume low or off was causing frequent crashes for some people. They're supposed to be fixing this and other glitches soon.

You might want to try that if it applies to you.

December 1, 2008 8:50 AM

Hello All,
Just a hint for the beginners. The children, not infants, can retrieve the moondust, stardust, guano, and other stuff for you.

December 1, 2008 9:43 AM

Hello,
Does anyone know what the potion - Wood,Sea Water and Moondust does?? Tried it on an adult and it stated the they were anxious about the future. Didn't see any changes in that person. Can anyone help?

To increase science points get all but 3 tribe people to do research and your science points multiply quickly.

Ok so i have my last puzzle- the flower bush... My question contains spoilers- so please if you compleated this puzzle see my spoiler- i need help!

I started to plant flowers around the bush- not knowing I need to follow the pattern....now i have flowers all over and I have no idea what the origional pattern was... do i have to wait till i travel to a new island? Or is there some way to get the origional pattern back (without erasing all the flowers on my island?)

Thankful for any help!

I finished the flower tree puzzle. Check my spoiler if you want specifics.

flowertree
in the three rings of flowers you will notice spaces where flowers are missing....the outer ring is yellow white yellow white so make sure the whole way around is that pattern, filling the spots as needed. You will see the missing flowers and do the same for the other inner rings of flowers and, voila, you're done and you receive a new flower. It's kinda orange.

[Edit: Spoiler tags corrected. -Pam]

December 1, 2008 3:21 PM

when i try sailing to a new island my game crashes. can anyone help?

To Island Hopper:

That potion isn't on the list from the game files, so it probably doesn't do anything significant.

To Tina:

There is a screenshot of the original puzzle in the walkthrough at the top of the page. You can try to erase everything except what's in that picture. However, if the Flower Tree puzzle changes with every island, that won't work and you'll just have to wait until you go to a new island that has the same puzzle.

To Mandabunny:

You may want to try what others have suggested about making sure the sound is on because of a bug in the game. You can also send an email to the contact link at the bottom of this page. Include the name of the site where you purchased it and Jay will send you information on who to contact to get the issue resolved.

I'm having trouble with my food storage. I think someone else mentioned the same problem but I didn't see any response to it. My tribe was going along just fine until I built the food storage. The day I built it, I woke up the next morning to find that 22 of my 26 tribe members had died of starvation! They had 600 food when I left them the night before and 600 food when I checked on them in the morning. Same for wood. The next day I started watching them closely and found they kept trying to eat from the food storage and couldn't do it. They walk over to it and then walk away empty handed and it starts telling me how hungry they are and they must eat soon. So I drag them over to the food pile and then they eat. I tried tearing down my food storage and building a new one in a completely open space. They still keep walking over to it and walking away without eating. Has anyone else had this problem?

To Jodie:

It may be a bug in the game. My people go to the food storage, then take the food to the fire and eat. There is a potion that will make everyone's stomach full, but that's just a temporation solution. You may want to contact the site where you purchased the game.

Here's the full stomach potion -

Vegetables+Rain+Moondust

December 1, 2008 6:17 PM

Something just seems off about these games and I lose interest. I guess it's the micromanaging, I always enjoy them when I start off but oncfe things ramp up i stop.

December 1, 2008 6:19 PM

I am having trouble with the planting of the trees. I have planted around 20 trees on my new island and when I click on the map, it says i have only 1 tree. I have placed a villager on the tree, so it is planted correctly. Also is there any way to revitalize trees that are half gone?

To lesabutterfly:

It probably just takes time for the trees to grow. However, you can make them full grown instantly by -

Putting a Stardust on them.

December 1, 2008 7:54 PM

I am having an issue with my tribe building my ark. They will build anything else I want them to, but they will not stay on building the ark. Any help would be apreciated. Thank you....

cjiinhoff - the ark takes a lot of wood and rock to build. Are you sure you have enough designated for harvest?

Also, be careful when building one of the larger structures (ark included) since if you run out of wood your campfire will burn out and your tribe could then perish from starvation (fire is necessary to cook food).

December 1, 2008 8:08 PM

I have plenty of wood and rock, over 1500 on both....I also have a tribal tower going, but even before I started the tower, they will not stay working on the ark. I have 68% done on the ark and 5% on the tower. What do you suggest now?

December 1, 2008 9:55 PM

Does anyone have a screen shot of what guano looks like? i have no idea what I'm looking for. Help?

Hi all.

I just want to know how to get ironwood and the fountain.
Thank you.

I'm having trouble making rocks - rock/sea/stardust and use on the ground? When I do this it has no effect. Any ideas?

To cjiinhoff:

Best suggestion: patience. It takes a really long time to build arks and towers. I've never seen them stay on the projects steadily. They come and go. Here's one little tip -

If you close the game for awhile, the structures get built quicker.

To JIGuest:

Screenshot of guano -
http://images.jayisgames.com/hs_pam_mytribe_guano.jpg

To odibu:

Both the fountain and ironwood are a result of solving two Mysterious Objects -

The Fountain and the Old Glowing Stump

To Megan:

You have the right potion. Make sure you use it in a spot with lots of space around it. Not close to anything.

Any one interested in a potion that puts everyone to sleep?
Try Berries, Sea Water, & Golden Relic. Everyone passes out where they stand.

New questions, about deaths and tombstones. I've had a couple tribe members die, but I cannot find their tombstones (and I did not choose "hide" when my first tribesperson died). I kind of wanted to see what they died of, especially as one was kind of young. Could game have put tombstones like under my buildings or something?
Also, ? about youth restoring potion: How old do they have to be to use it on them again? Do you wait till someone's hair turns gray again? And, does anyone know at exactly which age hair turns gray?
And not to be mean, but is there any way to kill someone off? I want to use people to breed but I'm at 50 so now all these great characters I created are getting old and no one can breed (I bred a LOT right off the bat, having too much fun with making babies with max mental and physical strenth).
Sorry so long. All the help on here has been great, by the way!

Thanks Pam, for taking the time to reply to my question. I found the problem. I had two fire pits but apparently neither of them were close enough to the food storage hut. I guess the tribe is too lazy to carry their food to the fire if they have to walk to get there! I built a third fire pit right beside the food storage and now they eat from there with no problem.

To rascalmom:

Yes, it's possible that the tombstones are under or behind buildings. There have been a couple that I couldn't find, and a couple where I could barely see the edge of it behind a hut. Keep searching, though. Sometimes you just need to look again. I actually just found a tombstone out in the ocean! I guess he died while fishing.

On the youth potion, you can use it on them every time their hair turns gray. If you use it too soon, it won't work. Hair turns gray at around age 65. They can also have children again after taking the youth potion as long as you're not at max population.

December 2, 2008 12:46 AM

I put my people to sleep by accident. Now they keep falling asleep how do you stop this from happening

To Mona:

Did you use Heather's potion for that? It will just have to wear off. Gradually they start doing their normal stuff after several minutes.

Hi ya'll. My Tribe ---where are the berries used in potions and how do I get them? I've tried the little bush by the research lab but nothing happened--I have level 3 of all except Culture (Art)

Hi, I found one more potion, vegetables+rain+golden relics,
but don`t try it, everyone are hunger after that, the every member of a tribe!

just wanted to say to those who were wondering about them building the ark i have both towers and the ark being built they are working on all three the game i think is set that they do them in increments when there is a couple constructions being built hope this helps

I downloaded this game from BigFish and am having trouble with the change user screen. I would like to start another tribe using a different user name. Can this be done? Thanks.

December 2, 2008 10:52 AM

I have used the restore youth potion twice now and each time the person dies right after taking it. Instead of restore youth its like an instant death potion instead. Anyone else having this problem?

I have 51 people, despite being told i could only have 50!!!

When i had 49 people i used the potion for twins and they had twins and it Aceepted both, and my pop. is now 51

After i got 50 it told me i had enough people, but by doing this it allowed me

I have noticed something that can be really useful

if you never turn off the game, then your old people will not die!

just trying to help...

If you complete a mystery like say, the star in the stone, and you move on to another island do you still keep the effects of the star in the stone mystery on the new island?

As in, if I solved that mystery before and moved on to a new island, will the stars still continue to drop more frequently?

December 2, 2008 2:40 PM

Hey all,
I have been looking for guano and i know what it looks like from the screen shots already posted but i can not find any on my island and i was wondering what else i should be looking for to find it.

thanks

I have figured out a way to get 25 Stardusts or 25 moondusts instantly.

Stardust Once you have the ability to build a celestial tower, simply place it and right after demolish it. All of the sudden approx. 25 stardust will fall out of the sky

Moondust Once you have the ability to build a Lunar tower, simply place it and right after demolish it. All of the sudden approx. 25 moondust will fall out of the sky

[Edit: This also happens when the towers are completed. -Pam]

To Judy:

To get berries -

You have to solve the Unhealthy Bush Mysteriious Object. It becomes the Cornucopia Bush with berries.

To Linda:
Yes, you can start a game under a new name. However, there's a bug in the game and the developers suggest that you not delete an existing profile. Just create an additional one.

To Silverages:
Did their hair change from gray back to their regular color? Did you get the box saying they felt younger? Check your potion. It should be -

Mushrooms+Fountain+Golden Relic

To WillF:
Not sure about that. I've had people die right in front of me while the game was on. One minute a person, next minute a tombstone.

To Dustin:
Yes, all benefits from solving Mysterious Objects go with you to all of your new islands.

To guano looker:
If you see a sea gull flying low over the island, he may be dropping guano. :)

Awesome! Thanks for clearing that up Pam!

December 2, 2008 5:41 PM

Hey guys,
I've been trying to figure out where to build my ark and for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. Everytime I try to place the ark somewhere for my people to build it, it's always in red. Are you supposed to build it on land? sea? shore? I'm so confused! Help!

How do you get iron wood?

To Heather Campbell:

You have to place the ark -

Half on water and half on land.

To Rhonda:
You get ironwood from -

Solving the Old Glowing Stump Mysterious Object.

This is absolutely a bug in the game, but a very nice one. Major spoiler or cheat though...

As soon as you have the technology to build specific buildings, like the Lunar Tower, Celestial Tower or Shipyard, then build them, and demolish them straight away, don't spend any wood or rock on it, and you will still get the benefits, like showers of stardust or moondust, or being able to build a ship. And you can just go on building and demolishing, and... collecting! :D It's a bug in the game I'm sure, and I only found out by accident...

I have only found guano once and have never found it again. I have made birds fly, etc. and cannot find anymore. Any suggestions?

To Debbie:

Guano appears randomly, with about the same frequency as mushrooms. You just have to keep an eye out for it.

Does anyone know how to collect science points fast? My mom is playing and has all her tribe doing science and is still only at about 7000. She needs Level 3 Construction (400000). Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance...

To cjiinhoff:

The best thing is just patience and doing other things while science points build up. Moondust and Stardust can help a little. Check the walkthrough at the top of this page for details.

A Hint for building buildings faster

building an observatory first (after you get level 3 construction), it doesn't take as much time, then just listen to when the moondust falls or the stardust and collect as much as you can. I even take the game off full screen or diminish it and only go back to it when I hear the siren. Then I can be doing other things while waiting for the dust to fall. Using the moondust really speeds up the building process. On the massive projects, like the towers, it will take 2-3 moondusts to increase % built by 1%, but that's still much faster than just letting your tribe build it. On the smaller buildings, it increases the % much faster.

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone help me? I need help how to get the fountain to work again?

Thanks for any information you can give me

To jen r:

What do you mean by "get the fountain to work again"?

Once you solve the fountain Mysterious Object, it stays solved and you always have fountain water for potions.

I need help!! I've been playing the game now for some time, and I've used up every rock on the island!!!

and I can't produce the rock potion since i don't have rocks left!!

Does anyone have any ideas - I'm partially through building my ark!!

To Lirelle:

Check your island carefully. There may be a small rock you missed.

If you really have no rock, you can finish the ark with lots of Moondust.

December 3, 2008 8:10 AM

can any one tell me what to do with the green rock with the moon shape in it.its the last mystery i have to solve and i've been trying to solve it for ages.

How do i get some guano?

December 3, 2008 10:19 AM

Yes it was the right potion. It changed there hair color back from grey. Even had in there discription the is 66 but feels like 36 message. It happened the first 3 times I used the potion. But has not happened again and I have used it about 3 or 4 more times since then. Must have just been a glitch or something. But I'm glad its not still happening.

To Lirelle:

Also you can use

stardust (or moondust) on the rock pile to create some rocks for the potion.

If anyone (Pam esp.) would like it, I've compiled a list of EVERY possible potion and also which ones NOT to mix. None of the additional potions are particularly helpful (in fact, many are quite negative), but if you're tired of losing ingredients just to see what it makes, this could be a real help. Also, there is one potion that will freeze the whole tribe for way too long; you'd want to avoid it. And another that scares the heck and grays the hair of whoever drinks it; again, not something you want! I have this as an Excel doc; maybe Pam can clue me in on how to post it here? Thanks:) I am a total dummy about html....sorry:(

Could someone please tell me where I can get lodestone from...I have fully researched science and agriculture and have level two arts and construction...where does one find lodestones and what does one require to get it?

I don't know if this was mentioned yet, but you can move the tombstones around.. just click and hold to place in a new area. (I made a little grave yard for my tribe)

Hello, I am not sure if anyone find out about this yet...I found out by accident anyway. I starting building two lunar tower at the same time, and as soon as demolish one of them, TONS of moon stones kept falling. SO I repeated the same thing again (building and demolishing the lunar tower right away) and again, moon stones shower started.

glitch? awesome glitch tho >_<

December 3, 2008 2:58 PM

Guano comes from seagulls, basically its bird poo to get it scare the birds off the sea if they are facing the land and 98% of the time they will poo. hope this helps

also does anyone know why my tribe has stopped moving?

thanks

kelly

To fluffysalamander:
Check the walkthrough at the top of this page. Each of the Mysterious Objects is listed along with the solutions.

To Kelly
It's probably just stuck, unless you gave them the potion that puts everyone to sleep. Try exiting the game.

I learned something interesting about the people who have been getting the youth potion.

When they die, their tombstone shows their "feels like" age instead of their actual years.

To Islandhopper: Wood-Seawater-Stardust creates butterflies when you put the potion on the ground. But the butterflies I had dissappeared when I created new ones..

Question: Does anyone know what the yellow, purple and other colored mist does that some of the villagers get when they open a barrel or crate??

Does anyone know where you get the vegetables from, only all mine is gone!! Tried planting more flowers.. hmm ok that didn't work, Oh and also found "people falling asleep where they stand" need another hut for them to sleep in..., and have to say, not a bad game, not brill,, as it isn't as good as the villagers, although love i can change hair colour :-)

December 3, 2008 7:00 PM

Interesting glitch; anyone else notice?
Once you've solved all the mysteries and you're sailing to new islands, if you select any with the glowing stump...the item is NOT there when you land. Huh. The fountain and star and moon items do appear...anyone know if the flower tree, the spiky bush, red rock mound or fossil rock also aren't there on a new place if you've solved them? I guess with the flower tree, fossil rock and red rock mound it wouldn't matter since

once you solve those, you no longer need the actual objects because you have the element or whatever, but I'd sure like the tree with never-ending wood to appear when I choose an island with the glowing tree.

to Jacky:

If it says your villager feels different, it means the barrel maximized one of his/her skills.

There's stg I didn't like about this game. I think it reminds 'Virtual Villagers' so much that it constantly makes me to compare two games. It's disturbing to find a different game on the screen while the music suggests me that I'm playing virtual villagers.

That's a pity, because with a little bit of different make-up it could have been a fun game. I played the game up to some point, almost in a sense of duty, but I don't think I'll play it with a different tribe, or till I get all the trophies. But I think I'll start a new tribe in Virtual Villagers.

December 3, 2008 10:06 PM

I am trying to build the shipyard and having alot of trouble I have 42 villagers right now with varying skills. For some reason almost ALL of them are just standing around-daydreaming, resting, or taking a break. No one builds unless I put them on the shipyard myself. I have almost everyone set to work on construction for tasks. I an getting incredibly frustrated. Oh-most of them have physical strength below 50 (not sure if that matters). I tried using the potion to increase it and it blew up and didn't work for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To Chezza:

The vegetables -

To Rascalmom:

The benefit of the Ever Tree is that the wood is much stronger. That benefit stays with you when you go to new islands, even if the glowing stump doesn't show up. Have you tried looking for the mature tree instead? All the other Mysterious Objects show up on the other islands, in their solved state.

To Melissa930:

Check your potion. It shouldn't blow up. The correct potion for increasing physical strength is -

Rocks+Rain+Golden Relic

One way to get large objects constructed quicker -

Close the game for awhile. When you open it again, much progress will be made.

If you have them all set to construction, they will eventually do it. I believe they take turns working on it. I can never get more than one at a time to work on it when I drop them.

Once you have the ability to build the lunar or star towers, build them. But before you have anyone start on construction just demolish them. The stars and/or moons will rain down just as if you finished building them. It's a great way to collect them fast. It takes about 50 stars to max out a villagers stats and strengths. Hope that helps.

i cant find the Unhealthy Bush, Glowing Stump, Stone with a star, Stone with a moon or the Flower tree anywhere on my map, any suggestions or help on this??

[Daisy - you only get 3 of the 8 Mysterious objects on the island you pick when you begin a new game. You must travel to other islands before can find the others. -Jay]

How i get golden relics???.... i use the storm potion but nothing appears.

does anyone know all the elements? I am having a hard time getting them all. How do you get rain?

How do I get lodestone to show up? I know you have to get it from a barrel, but so far none of mine have had any!

thank you Jay for that information, another question about the mysteries i can only see two on my screen the fossil and red iron ore mound, does one appear later on, or am i totally blind. Im also still trying to figure out the red mound it's very frustrating

hey guys...this page has helped alot, thanks alot. but i have a question. where do i find guano?

To mumu:

Screenshot of guano -
http://images.jayisgames.com/hs_pam_mytribe_guano.jpg

I repeat, how i get golden relics????

To Ameego:
Golden relics appear along the beach at the beginning of a storm. You have to search for them. Here's a screenshot so you can see what they look like.

http://images.jayisgames.com/hs_pam_mytribe_goldenrelic.jpg

To cscherer:
You can only do potions with rain when it's... raining.

To Myene:
Lodestone is just random. Keep checking crates and barrels and you'll eventually get some.

To Daisy:
The third mysterious object is on the island somewhere. Some show up on the beach and some show up on the grass. For the red rock, check the walkthrough at the top of this page for help solving it. There are also screenshots for all of the objects, which may help you find your third one.

To mumu:
Guano is found on the ground, like mushrooms. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like.

how do you go to the other islands?

the screen shot for the 1st Mystery is wrong

To mumu-guano is seagull poo so if you see one flying across land there is a good chance it dropped some...I usually track its route, then pick it up.

[Edit: Screenshot has been corrected. Thanks for point it out! -Pam]

December 4, 2008 4:46 PM

Can someone help me please? I'm going crazy. What is the heavy stump, flower circle and the berry bush you all talk about? I looked everywhere for these things and can.t find them. I read all the spoilers and I solved the red rock, blue with moon shape, and waterfall, but I can't find anything else. Please help? Thank you.

To Bob:

To go to another island -

You have to build a shipyard and then an ark. They come at level 3 Construction.

To Sweetness:

Please see Jay's response to Daisy on December 4, 2008 at 2:33 a.m. Just a few posts above yours.
