A simple Unpossible Solution, just required a little bit of tweaking.
If anyone out there is still trying to do Pokey's Tube Challenge (see the bottom of comment page 2), here's an idea:
Launch some kind of chained basked up and to either side of the tube. The chain has to be about twice as long as the tube so that the basket can go back down to the bottom of the tube, swing inwards a little, and catch a well-timed (or timed-release) goal ball. Then somehow use a winding wheel on the chain, or a falling counterweight, to pull the basket (with the goal ball inside it) all the way back up.
The winding wheel might not work since there is limited space to build in the tube. Although, if you could drop the winding wheel out of the tube, then you'd have more space.
It'll be a tight fit since you'd need a launcher, enough chain length, maybe some kind of stability, and extremely good timing to pull this off.
