Hey, I really need help here! I'm stuck with the statue puzzle.. At this point my chief won't direct work.. I tried to drop him to every place I could around the statue and he just wants to inspect food, contemplate tribe... The statue is now at the very top of the path but it looks like the villagers don't see it anymore.. What should I do ? Thanks a lot for your help!

I have completed all 16 puzzles. I have purchased Level 3 in everything, except Science, Alchemy and Nature. I am missing 3 special items. My question is there an actual end to the game? If so, do I have to get Level 3 in everything, plus locate the special items to complete it?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

You can also increase building skills by dropping a villager on top of an existing hut to do repairs.

Is everybody ignoring the questions about the statue being stuck? I've played the game twice and both times the statue got stuck at the top of the hill. The chief and villagers ignore it. Has anybody figured this out?

To Thaddeus:

Sorry, I don't mean to ignore your question. I don't have an exact answer for you, but I remember seeing something earlier in this thread about statues getting stuck. The makers of the game released an updated version that fixed it. If you'll scroll up this thread, you should be able to find it and check to see if you have the most recent version.

I really don't think there's anything wrong with the statue.

I had a chief that died during the repair of the statue and it took a little bit of effort to get things going again once I found my new chief. He didn't at first want to direct work, so I had to keep dropping him on the 'hotspot' for the statue renovation. Same for the villagers. Once the chief begins to direct work there, then the other trained builders will work on it, too.

I hope that helps.

Did anyone ever find out how to get the bath plans cleared from the chalkboard in order to begin the plans for the statue? I have completed all my tech requirements as well as the requirements for master builders and a chief. I know a couple of people were having trouble with this as well. This is a GREAT site and it has really helped me! Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

Hi! Here are a few things I have tried that have worked:

-I used 3, not 2 builders for the lift. It should takes only a few seconds, not long at all.

-I pause my game before I quit, so I can play it all the way through. If you are not expecting it, it is really lame to come back to a village you just started and have people dying and all your food gone.

I hope this helps someone. :)

Great site by the way.

To Tracy:

One of your villagers will always be the chief. Having 75 makes it a challenge to fine him/her! Maybe go to the details screen and try each one of them in order so that nobody gets missed. Also, if you have nursing mothers, the chief could be the infant or the mom. You'll have to try them when she's done nursing.

Can someone please advise us how you know you are done. Does the game actually say congrats you have completeted the game. I have completed all the puzzles, I have a trillion food and tech points, I have 90 people and have changed everyones clothes and matched them by trait so I know who they are. I still have to get a few collections. Do I have to complete the collections to finish? I also have not had a triplets yet.

regarding the statue getting stuck. The closer you get to the top the less space there is for builders to push. also i noticed that if you don't put them directly on the statue and somewhere closer lower down the path they will push the statue. kinda like a secret spot. sometimes it takes a few tries to find the spot.

I got the clothes hut to work. I don't really know what I did except purchase both the level 3 in magic and the level 3 in restoration. The location of it is kind of at that little opening of the circle where the kids dance in the puddles, above the fire pit. I'm a little disappointed in the whole ghost thing. They appear, but it's very anti-climatic. They just hover there and nothing else happens.

I had an interesting result from a potion when I used rose + tiger lily + lotus. The villagers started speaking another language and under their name it said: Blannesamagawaloomajoobamooga. When I tried to do it again, it said feeling faint/woozy. Anyone get that other language result?

There's another kinda fun potion orchid + tiger lily + cactus.

For those having difficulties with food, I had this too. You have to be very careful about how many villagers you have until you can get rid of the sharks. The 3 trees should be able to feed 12-15 villagers without any problems. I kept my village to 11 people. If you have the chief direct the work when you are farming he's suppose to make the fruit on the trees count for more...you can have him do this by dragging him/her to a tree. If you want you can try choosing the nature faction too, it is suppose to help provide more food than the magic.

Hi. I don't come here often and don't have an account, but I do have a question. I currently have a population of five, an old woman, and four men. I have tried using a fertility potion on the woman and a young man, but cannot get the woman to have a baby. I have a whole load of tech, an orchard, and can fish. I don't have a chief right now. People have said that if you get enough tech, and food, but can't have babies, you will sometimes get a barrel of babies. How much tech and food do you need. Also, If the person who would be chief dies before the kids come, will one of the kids be chief? What if the kids are already there and the person who would be chief dies? I know this is a lot for me to ask and for you to read, but I want help!!! I love this game, but Always have to cheat to get through just about any game. About having babies:

The babies arriving in barrels is a random island event. No particular technology will make it happen.

About finding a Chief:

One of your villagers is supposed to be the Chief, regardless. If a Chief dies, you should be able to have everyone in the village try on the robe and one of them will be Chief, unless the Chief is a nursing mother or the infant. In that case, you'd have to wait until the mother is finished nursing. I don't think it matters where a villager comes from. If he/she is part of the village, there will be a Chief among them.

First of all, please don't change your computer clock to get food or tech points, etc. It's a very BAD IDEA. Not only will it mess up your game, but it will also mess up a lot of computer functions that rely on the computer clock.

To Brandi:

About the lift:

You only need to have 3 adept builders to fix the lift. I don't think you need to buy technology for it. Then put a villager on the lift as soon as it starts raining.

To Natalie:
I don't think there's a treasure in this game. For a list of all the puzzles, look at the beginning of this thread. You can only choose one faction, either Nature or Magic. You'll have to run another game to try the other faction. Neither one is better than the other. They are just different.
About the diamond:

It takes some time for the diamond to show up in the dead fire. You'll see white sparkles in the fire when it's time. Then let it die out and the diamond will be there. Drop villagers at the waterfall and they will put water on the diamond to cool it.

I don't think the symbols above the rose mean anything for the game.

You do have to build the stone huts before you can have more babies when you reach the max for the current housing. The foundations are already in place.

Perhaps someone else already said this, but I couldn't find it. For those of you with a statue stuck at the top of the hill, maybe this will help. My chief was interupted while directing the work and dropping my chief all over every inch of the statue did NOT help. In desperation, I picked up my chief and moved her up and down the hill. At the bottom (where the statue used to be) I noticed her action line said "Directing Work" again. I dropped her there and my builders immediately went back to work. I hope this helps some of you who have been as frustrated as I was.

Jen (and Kris) - Does it look like there are two sets of plans on the chalkboard? Like those for the bath AND the statue, perhaps?

That is what happened on my game, but I was still able to complete the statue. There is a minor bug in the latest version that sometimes prevents the chalkboard from getting cleared before the plans are drawn for the statue. It should be fixed soon, but it should not prevent you from being able to finish the statue.

Try putting a master builder up on the ramp just near the flat part of the statue's mid-section.

You don't need to cure sick people to get a doctor. After you purchase level 2 in medicine, you can drop a villager onto the hospital area table and it will study medicine. Ok guys I finally broke down and registered...you would think after all the spoilers and comments I've put on here and I would have already done it.

Ok for the people that want to gather tech points faster, this is one way of doing it. I've found this out back On the first VV and never posted anything about it.
Ok Pick your reseacher up and place them at the table. When they stop walking and reseach they will twitch (like if they are going to turn around and never do). YOu will notice that you tech points went higher. At this time you do not have to wait till they stop and research again. You can simply pick them back up and place them back on the table. This will cut the waiting time in half. I like to put a bunch of reseachers on the table and watch them. You can really rack up the points this way.

Those of you that have all women...there is a random pop up on the game where a canoe has landed on the beach with someone it from around the island. I got a male adept builder when I had all women, so it helped me a lot. So if you can just wait a little bit, this random might happen. That or I think they still have the random where a barrel of babies land on the island.

There is a potion where the villager feels like exercising, let them exercise. this will improve your building...I posted this earlier but don't remember the potion. If its not on the potion list then I will find out what it is and repost it.

Also I had a random where a villager saw a red star fish. It gives you an option to touch it or not. If you touch it, it will make your villager dizzy and you will loose some skill.

Reply

ok the potion for the exercise is catus + lily + orchid

To Bob:

Hey,

If you have at least medicine level 2, you can drop them in the area with mats, on the table there, and they will study medicine. The potion works good to get them a start in healing, but the easiest way to get a master after that is to make them study. I think for the aroma therapy you have to have medicine at level 3 anyway, so they should be able to study.

I need help! I've gotten all my L1-3's, all my Nature faction, everything possible to get. All huts are built, rubble's gone, bath is done, etc etc etc.

My problem is the statue. More specifically, a Master Builder.

I've got a handful of adept builders that are probably 85%-90% to "Master", but have nothing left for them to construct to get their points up. One villager specifically I have been putting on "hut repair" for 3 solid days now, and her "Building" is not moving...at all.

I thought maybe she was just old, or maybe another villager might have better luck - same thing...no matter how many times they repair the huts, their construction doesn't budge. However, each time they finish, it says "Your villager improved in construction".

GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Any ideas on how I can get this adept villager to Master, so I can start on the statue? Without a Master Builder, I am completely stuck for the rest of the game! I'm about 1 hour from putting the game in "permanent pause" and finding something else to do :(

Thanks, in advance :)
