You cannot let yourself hit the X device. See those 2 "square" devices? You can only hit the one on the left, do not hit the one on the right, and certainly not the 2 in a time. Then roll the box on the orange path, and use the normal path in the middle to help you get through it.

Okay, I'm feeling thicker by the minute.
I had figured that part out in theory. But how can you position yourself to not hit the X without then being forced to roll over both switches. I see the whole thing, except that maneuver.

After rethinking what you said (and knowing it must be possible) I went back - and GOT it! Thank you. Now on to the level everyone seems to stick on. At least I can feel dumb - or who knows maybe superior :) - in a crowd now.

- To pass those two single orange squares on the top
The "magical" position is, on the very top, on the right, horizontally, then, when you go to left, you'll get through the orange squares without falling.
- To pass the huge amount of orange squares
There are 2 special normal squares you'll need to get through that part.
(1)The one in the middle of the orange squares ;
(2)And another one on the right of the orange squares.
You start rolling (box positioned vertically) to the very right of the orange squares; then you press the up button, at this point you're on the position (2). Then you press the left button and roll (horizontally) down once, and press left to go to that normal square, you'll be on position (1). The rest is easy :)

I, too, originally saw this on UNEASYsilence, and was glad to see it featured here. I only had time to do the first seven or so levels, so I only now got around to finishing all 33 levels. It's very satisfying to finish a puzzle game like this without having to resort to the walkthrough, too. :)
This game is really very original -- the tumbling aspect of having a block that is sometimes 2 tiles wide and sometimes 1 tile wide makes for a very unique strategy to this game. It's often a matter of repositioning yourself to a tile next to the one you are on. (As others have said, it's very helpful to work backwards. I mentally say to myself, "I need to be upright on this tile in order to hit the switch. That means I need to be upright on this tile," etc., etc.)
As I proceeded to get to the higher levels, it became instinct on how to reposition the block to adjacent tiles. It was weird, actually, how fast I could do it and how little I had to think about it; instead I was able to focus on the big picture.
I have to say, this is one of the most unique, fun, and challenging games to come along in a while. The developer of this game roxorz my bloxorz. ;)

You first have to activate the upper X device. Do do it, you take the upper track, activate it, and then go back; now you go activate the lower X device. When you activated the upper X device, a new square will appear, you're now able to activate the lower X device. Do it, go back again, and now you can head on to the exit.
this game reminds me the famous movie "cube". sound effect and visual are excelent !

I saw Bloxorz advertised yesterday 6/28 on "The 9" (Yahoo! web news). I love this game. I looked for a hint to help me with Level 11 and fortunately someone posted a spoiler here...THANKS. Kudos to Damien Clarke for this brillant game!
so for level 3 the walkthroughs have it at D3x at the end, but that sends the block off the stage? whats up?

Don't press the button ever in this level. Go counter clockwise around the whole thing, once all the way through, press the following buttons,

and the rest is really easy

If you are having trouble with Level 3 instructions given in the walkthrough above, you are doing it wrong.

I just fall in stage 3, too. I can't understand what's wrong... Is our Bloxorz different?
Well... Maybe it really is, because I'm sure I followed that walkthought right.
Hey, I see. I played Bloxorz in Addictinggames, then I went to check Bloxorz to Albinoblacksheep... And Stage 3 were different between those places. In Albinoblacksheep, there were one square more and the walkthought was correct. =D
I just finished it!! woo! last 3 levels took about an hour of figuring out. btw, the last one is super easy if you do it backwards.
yeah the addicting games version is somehow wrong. PLease don't say we are doing it wrong it was not our fault!! The game was faulty.

I did not take into consideration the fact that people playing the game from other sites were commenting here, and that other version(s) are different.
The links above point to the Albino Blacksheep version, which I believe is the 'official' version. I'm waiting to hear back from Damien about it.

i need help on level three it just wont work for me even with the help
i just beat the game after a few days of off-and-on playing. the levels are nothing until about 27 or 28. 33 took me almost an hour on its own
good advice is to go backwards - i was stumped until i thought to do it
This game is great. Every level is very well planned and there are not anyplace where you can find another way of solving it than the author wants you too.

FUNNEST (and longest) GAME EVER !!! i finished in 2 and a half hours in 3202 moves. FINALLLYYYY
KxxT; it is just an explanation how you actually walk around, in this case you are doing U-turns.
But if you just follow the right-left-up-down-instructions that firenz have written you will see for yourself have you have to travel around on that level.
..and btw, I have lowered my number of moves to 2036 now and can't find a shorter way to go on anymore level.

Did all 33 levels....Level 28 was the hardest.
Made it through the game. Now it's just a matter of going through it over and over, looking for ways to eliminate moves. The game is tricky in that sometimes it tries to fool you into thinking you have to make moves you don't need to make, such as splitting the block multiple times, or luring you into a bad spot. As a general hint, remember that sometimes you will have to go backwards to go forwards, or go way out the way to position the block in the right place, like on 28. Also, whenever you trigger an X, watch what happens. If a square appears, it's very likely it's there because you need it to get where you want to go. ;-)

I need help on level 28
I already know how to hit the teleportation device, but I just can't figure out a way to put the block in the right position to be able to hit it. I have tried everything I could and still can't do it :(
