Anonymous, did you try leaving the game, don't pause, and coming back? Others found the cauldron by the fire where it belongs.

I had the cauldron and when i went back it was gone, i have closed the game a few times and it still hasnt come back, i already got it out of the wood.

Oh and I heard something about if two esteemed elders manage to have a child you can get a special villager from this union. Has anyone witnessed this or is it just vv2 lore?

i have 50 totems and people with 3 master skills but they are not changing to elders and giving me more totems. can you only get 50 of each.

To get the gong piece in the water, you have to make the stew that makes a villager hold his breath. He will dive down and get it.The stew is 2 pieces of the orange herb(bottom of village) and 1 piece of the black herb (below grave yard by the water falls).

The writing on the wall is unimportant. It was just a puzzle to do.

i just purchased Level 2 of Exploration Tech, and the cauldron appeared in the wood pile, but how do i get it out of the pile?

#3 uncommon is greenish black shaped like #1 common
#2 rare is turquoise shaped like #4 uncommon
#3 rare is purple shaped like #4 common
The shells and butterflies are easy. They can be anywhere.

how do you make stews i have found all the herbs and added water then what do i do? I have all combos just need to know how to make it!

When I make the stew, one of the villagers eat and when I drag him in the pond to take the gong piece, he doesn't want to do anything. What can I do? And thanks for the help!!!

betty , what did it say at the bottom of the screen when the villager ate the stew? If it didn't say something about not having to breathe you did something wrong. Try the stew again. Make an elder eat it. I don't really know I am guessing.

OK i am on 2nd level of everything....i have lost 5 people only have population of 17 and cant get any more to produce babies...what am i too do now coz i am getting a bit frustrated not knowing what i can do? i cant get my adept builders to become masters even though i keep putting them on the huts to repair (s stated above) i lost my 2 master builders to death help me or i will have to run round the village myself naked and scare the whole lot of them to liven things up!!!!!!! hahahahah

Psykotic, after 50 totems that's it. Nothing special. No more. They just got in my way after awhile so I piled like kinds on top of each other just to get them out of the way.

Psykotic and betty, That picture, up above, of the ancient place IS MADE UP. It does not happen in the game. Someone moved the people and made the picture.

pmtwoman, I don't know why they won't make kids. Go to detail,Click one male over 18 to parenting, go in the game and teach him by dropping him on any female 18 to 50. When he becomes a trainee parent he will make babies by himself if you have females between 18 and 50.
Builders will advance in learning, just keep them on repairing the huts.

Thanks obie but i think they must have found a viagra somewhere in a bush because i went back on and i went from 17 villagers to 27!!! now i find that when i go back on there is like a 180 min til next crop and they are hungry and advice? also what are the birds there for is there a reason?

pmtwoman, does the ocean have algae yet? If not, drop people in the ocean to fish. If it does have algae, work to get farming 3 first to clear the algae. Check for coconuts. Sometimes there are some but you can't see them. Otherwise have the kids pick up mushrooms.
The birds are nothing but decorations.

Anonymous , puzzle 2 is the dam. You need level 2 of engineering. Carry a builder to the narrow spot in the creek by the dry spot and watch what the game says.

karencool93, You make the cutting tools. You need level 2 of exploration first. The cutting tools are used to remove the thorny patch.
If you have level 2 of exploration drop a builder on the rocks, just left of the grave yard, that looks like three fingers above a little rock. He will have to go back and get wood for the tools, just below that rock.

Hello. For the 2nd gong piece (the inlaid one), nothing happens when I put a totem pole in the middle. I have tried everything. Where is it supposed to appear? I have all the tech researched every puzzle solved except for that gong piece.

Alice , if it works the piece will be in the very middle. If it does NOT work you got the bad copy of the game.I don't know what you can do to change it.

mico, I don't know the answer. The time should go down. Did you mess with your computer clock? That can screw up the game. Sorry. Maybe start over.

christina, you need to finish the dam and have your crops. Drag an adept farmer to the vines (roots) left of the grave yard twice.

naomi599, Is the algae gone? Are they getting enough food? Do you have healers? If everything looks okay you can let it run (maybe on 1/2 speed or normal) all night.
If you have algae in the ocean don't leave it running all night. People will starve. Pause it. To pause click your space bar.
I hope this is what you mean.

How do I get more hut foundations to appear? I have 20 people in my village. I have 2 master builders and a 3rd who is highly adept. I have had him fixing up the existing huts for ages and ages and he doesn't change into a master. I have cleared the thorns and built the dam, so I'm now supposing he needs to be able to build something in order to become a master? Thanks.

Bev, I don't know how many huts you have? There are 4 huts to build. 1 to repair. 1 hospital to build. That's all. Some of these come after you buy techs.

i cant find the flower for the stew to make the villager dive for the sunken gong piece in the pond.

I've been playing for about 90 hours now, and I have a half dozen people who have mastered two skills, and are SOOOO close to finishing the third - but after hours and hours they don't seem to be mastering that third skill and turning into esteemed elders. I'm at level 3 tech for farming, but level 2 for everything else. Is it because of my level of techs???

Aah! So I finally revealed the final piece of the gong and one girl went to retrieve it...and lost it! I dont know where she went with it but its been several minutes and shes not at the encasement, and I can find someone holding a piece anywhere...HELP!

naomi599, I have played the game 3 times. 1 for each setting (easy, normal, hard). My first 2 are still going. The original one has been going for 5285 hours. I have had 3960 babies and my oldest person was 102. I love playing it. It gets easier each time. I hope they come out with a v v 3. I am a retired grandmother so I can play it as long as I want. I am 66 years young. I love to help others enjoy the game too.

on your lower right side theres a digital clock then you can edit it by double clicking on it and try to change the time, but first you need to be in window mode not in full screen mode to change it easily than using alt+tab key. okey

Jess, I would start the new game on the easy setting and later change it to normal or hard. Hard is hard, more illness, slower techs and less food. I don't know how I got triplets. I think it's just by chance or maybe it was by a master parent.Not sure.

obie3 well since you are sooo good at this i need some more help....lol. ok well i keep bringing my villagers that are master farmers and master scientists to the pond to catch the fish and they keep catching them but i wanted to know how many times do i have to bring them back and forth before the allergies gone!!!!!!!!!!?????

As a great fan of all the VV games, I must say that this one is great! Greatly awaiting VV3, 4, if LDW makes them! This is the height of real-time games as we know it. I've played both in full and had huge, prospering villages (okay, I have a pebble, a shell and six beetles to get in VV2 but still have full pop at the current capacity). Jay, you made a great choice to review these games on the site.

naomi599, I never counted but I think it's about 7 or 8 times maybe 10. Just keep doing it. After the algae is gone the farmers will fish by themselves.

matthew, beetles are found only after you clear the thorny patch.They are in the thorny patch.
Pebbles are found after you clear the mosaic. They are in the mosaic.

Jess, I have played this game over & over just to try different outcomes. I have gone as far as I can go with everything. For making triplets you need all three medicines and then just keep trying. I have had about 10 sets of them so far with all the different times I have tried. Just be patient.

Help! I am in the middle of the game. I have got a poor family control and the dependency ratio was high(too many children). Now my villagers are starving and all food from the harvest seasons were eaten very quickly. The villagers eat faster than they grow. My tech points is still at 50,000. What should I do for the time being?

empt, the sewing hut requires the purchase of Level 2 of both Culture Tech and Science Tech, a foundation will appear that your villagers can work on.

Does the map ever get bigger than when you first start?

I was wondering what am i supposed to do to get the vines on the wall cut. i have bought level 3 of culture and i drag people to it but they dont do anything all it says is that they are confused. please someone help me. am i supposed to drag on a specific person please help me

Agnes, After you purchase Level 3 of Culture and have completed Puzzle 4 they will begin cutting away the vines.

i was just wondering how do you get the adults to teach the children, i used to be able to do this but now i cannot ?

When you start the game and go to map it shows a highlighted area. Outside this area it shows more area. More ocean water on one side and past the vines and waterfall. Are you able to get to those areas and if so how? Thanks.

teacher, I think if you drop an adult male or master parent on some one under 18 years old they will teach. but I don't think it really teaches the kids anything.
