Best is to try as many times as you can to get "BEST QUALITY" treasure, but I'm not sure if the time when you complete the level has anything to do with it because I tried about 7 times in a row to try and get any "best quality" treasures on one level.
At least level up to lvl 8 before you complete a level is a one idea, not entirely sure if it works but I think it gives you a better chance.

Just to be clear, you can only get 1 bonus item PER friend... meaning you get 10K XP if you have no friends yet... but if you have been already been invited by 1 friend then you input a code to invite another friend, you will get 10k XP AND 15 speed ups... (or was it another 10k XP)
Once you have 10 friends - no other bonuses will be given... moneko will be the last bonus...

Treasures are super random, even the quality of treasure is random too...
Had continuously played a stage 30 over times and just got inferior treasure... End up playing 50 over times just to get the best quality ones... Lol!

Some of the comments are really informative! Personally I've found that for the lower levels, cow/ giraffe cat works very well. And that mixing in some heavy hitters like beautiful legs cat and mythical giant cat works exceedingly well.

Found a hack that gives Moneko instantly (works for iOS and Android):
1.) Finish Stage 7 of Battle Cats.
2.) When the "Invite Friends to Get Moneko" appears on the main screen, click it.
3.) Use the developer's test code : "s20u0"
4.) Your application will exit.
5.) Run Battle Cats again.
6.) Moneko will be unlocked.

Last stage 3-48 tips:
*****Final Update: I was so fed-up that I activated God-cat's baby boom, yet I still lost! Best treasures on all unit production (almost all best treasures in money and unit departments), mind you.
I re-studied the video over and over again, this time paying close attention to every detail (less translating from Japanese to English). Finally, I managed to win. Still, I used cat-food to heal.
LISTEN CAREFULLY: The most important thing is THE SUMMONING TIMING between the MACHO-CAT and the WALL-CAT. What? Yes, the timing of summoning a macho-cat has to be at the half-way point of the cooldown of the wall-cat. The summoning of the wall-cat will naturally fall in place at slightly over the half-way cooldown point of the macho-cat. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE COOLDOWN, DO NOT WATCH THE BATTLE less you get distracted. You will lose if you spam blindly. This is my experience.
If you must use God-cat's baby boom, do it when the income is still pouring in from killing scrap mobs. I felt stupid when I activated God-cat when Bun Bun Teacher popped out and I could summon only 3 Valkyries and income dried up. It stayed on for a good full minute but I had NO INCOME. Stupid!

I thought this game was funny at first, and then it became awesome. The moment I got to level up my cats to 10, I realized what kind of game I was getting in to, trust me, this game became so unexpected for me. But I love it the way it is. Haha :)

Addicting game. My favorite enemies are the Stick Guys. It looks like they're trying to shoo away the cats.
One thing I'm annoyed about is the energy system. It's a tactic made to stretch out the game, so you can't beat it in one or two sittings. It isn't so bad here as it is in most idle games, but it's not exactly adding to the gameplay either. That's not to subtract from the overall rediculous game though. Beautiful Legs-Cat is just, wow...

This is the developers loop hole which they used to test the special cats category. To get a special cat for free, please try the following procedure (must be before you used your invitation code): ***Please try this after your favorite special cat is available to choose from*** 1) Go to the special cats category then go out of the special cats category THREE times 2) When you go out of the special cats category for the third time, go straight to the "Invite friends to get Moneko" (you can access this after level 7 and you must have internet access) 3) Go to "Input Invitation Code" and key in this code "eqgs2" 4) Once you done this, go straight back to the special cats category, you should notice that all special cats are showing 0 for the cat food. You can now pick one cat for free. REMEMBER, only one cat!! 5) If eqgs2 no longer available, try eqgs3. (eqgs1 and eqgs0 are now invalid) Have fun and good luck!
