I finished all of the puzzles it really did not take that long about 1 week. I thought there would be a surprise when you open the door but no. Two ghost give you a history about the island but nothing more. Am I missing something?

If you dont wanna wait, do these things:
Open menu and go to the options. Then click "off" for the fullscreen. Then click on the computer cloak and change the time. Then see what happened to your food and points and villagers. You will see that you have more food or more points.

Why did this happen?
Cuz the game works in real time,right?Well..the game doesn't have a cloak so its using the computer clok. And what happens if we change the time???It has effect on the game!!!

I've seen a lot of people suggest changing the computer clock to advance the game for tech points, food, etc. Can someone who is a real expert tell me... isn't changing your computer's clock a bad idea for your computer? Seems like many things depend on your computer's clock besides this game and messing with it could mess up a lot of functions.

Hey, here is a little help

a master farmer should be placed on the field on the west side of the island, let him/her water it with water from the lagoon, eventually flowers will grow. A master builder finds the treaure, though I don't see how it is useful. Clear the beach so you can fish/swim in the ocean (needs level 3 farming). The golden child will automatically move the boulder covering the cave, though there's not much to find. To save time making babies, drag two villagers onto each other, but stop then before they go indoors, a baby will magically appear! It is best to use a villager who enjoys running (as they move really fast) for tasks such as watering crops/the field, fishing, harvesting crops, etc. Also, eating the fruit off the plant north west of the island increases a villager's lifespan.
P.S. Anyone know how to increase the population from 90-91? Most villagers are worried about housing and no one will have babies! My tech points are around 450,000, and my food is about the same! Thanks.

Hoped the info helped!

so how are you guys getting so many tech points i have loads(about like 7 or 8) of people on the table but they produce them really slow help plez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply

To Fashanna:

You just have to be patient on earning tech points. Put everyone you have to spare on the research table. Also, make sure your game is set on Fast Speed in the Options section. But be sure to slow it down or pause it when you leave the game for awhile.

Note: Please do not change your computer clock to cheat your way to more tech points. This can mess up many functions on your computer... AND YOUR GAME!! Change your computer clock only at your own risk!

Ok another random Pop up

I had a villager find a vial carved out of crystal and the villager said it smelled sweet...if you drink it it will give you tech points

Reply

To Rachel:

About studying the plants -

The villager will eventually move away from the various plants. If you have selected healing on the villager's details page, you'll need to drag him/her back to the plants a few times until they get enough experience to be a Trainee Doctor. It's pretty safe to let them go after that. They will return to study the plants on their own.

I love this game! I want to create a family tree (i have grown very attached to my villagers) but i have been breeding the villagers with so many different partners I can't remember whose parents are who now. The funniest thing is when you breed a young villager with an old villager. you drag them together, they kiss, then the young villager runs to the hut and the old villager hobbles very sloooowwwwly. Often the young villager leaves the hut before the older villager gets there! at the moment i'm watching two 60 year olds hobble to the hut.

[Edit: A family tree would be great. Let me know if you make one that can be emailed or posted. I'd like to see it and maybe create a model for others (including myself) to use. -Pam

i having an issue with my villagers making GIRLS i'm only getting BOY! and i don't know why. i'm at a point in the game where i'm able to make have more villagers i only have 20 right now and 5 are about to die of old age.

I have 55275 tech points and about 25000 food.

i have done 1-8 in the puzzle :-)

[Melissa, females in this game can have babies into their 60s. If you have any females left, I would suggest they keep having babies as much as they can. You should get a girl eventually. Other than that, sometimes barrels of babies show up as random island events. You could get girls that way, but it's nothing you can control. -Pam]

Move the golden child into the middle of the garden and he will cal back the butterflys.

Move the golden boy to the plant two to the left of the cactus, the butterflys will pollenate the plant giving your villagers longer life and slving all the puzzles.

Additional Info re: Golden Child

To make the Garden magic (after it is watered by the villagers and has bloomed), pick up the Golden Child and drop him in the Garden. He will make butterflies appear. Then pick him up again and the butterflies will follow him. Now drag him over to that strange plant just east of the lagoon and drop him on it. The butterflies will pollinate the plant and help villagers live longer.

Sorry if this is a repeat, but I didn't read it anywhere.

Also, if you "grab" the drum that is next to the school, all of the village children will come running!

Well actually it happened before when I played the downloaded version, and I thought it could be due to old age, but 30 can't be that old. This time on the full version I had bought lvl 2 of medicine tech but they still died at 30 yrs. What's going on?

Reply

To JIGuest,

They don't usually die of old age until they are at least in their 60s, and even later after buying more medicine tech. Unfortunately, this game doesn't show the cause of death like Virtual Villagers 3 does.

Did all of your villagers die or were there any survivors? Is this your first village on the full version?

Reply

To Pam
No one survived, and I'm not sure of their age when they died, so I'm not sure of the fast forward in time either. That was my first village. One thing for sure, when I revisited the game, the tutorial says one of my villagers is sick, but I didn't get a chance to heal him/her

Reply

To JIGuest,

Make sure the game is running on easy mode on the the details menu for your first attempts. They don't get as sick and you don't have as many problems as when you run it on normal or hard mode.

If you start up a new tribe, which I hope you will, keep a close eye on them and come back here if you need any help.

Hi it's me. I haven't posted on here for a while but I have on a lot of other sites. I for one have no issue with the sponsorship issue. I think it's great as long as you don't forget the fact that I, with many others, love this site for the fact of how honestly you show the games and I do love this game although it does have few flaws, graphics for one. And with the one-hour trial issue, I would just like to remind everyone that you could be ruining this site's sponsorship by promoting ways around the trail period. And Jay, I would like to say I have told a lot of people about you. We're rooting for you and just keep doing what you're doing. Bye for now. xdeadshadowx

Is my ram too low or does that golden child hang your pc every time he/she makes a party? Oh yeah, he/she does that about 5 minutes after i open the game, and again in 10 minute intervals. What a party boy/girl~

about the treasure quest, i just managed to get my master builder to uncover the spot and the building thingy popped up. This needs at least 10 tries, and at one exact spot. Try to find this exact spot, which is directly on the left of the ruins and bottom of the food can. If you really can't find it, draw a straight horizontal line from the bottom of the ruins and a vertical line from the center of the food can and it's the spot where the lines meet. it's been about 2 hours since i uncovered it, and the treasure is not found yet.. (i have half the village working on it) it could be random, or just trying to test your patience, but it really frustrates you because there's no 'percentage complete' shown

i wonder why some people are asking questions which are already answered in the walkthrough..

Hi,

I have a slight problem...
I left my laptop at home while i was on holiday and of course i couldn't see to my game.

All my breeders have had an extremely great time and have managed to bring my population up to 90, its maximum. This has become a problem because i need a woman to have another child so i can have a golden child, of which, if you haven't guessed already, i haven't got.

If anybody knows how to kill a villager (because i cant be bothered to wait for one to die!) i would be really grateful!

Thanks,

Doing laundry doesn't do anything specific. It's just a thing villagers do, like eating or getting a drink. I haven't found that it hurts to interrupt them and put them back on a task.

At the beginning of this game, it can be quite difficult to make babies. It will happen if you don't give up. Also, you don't have to wait for them to "go indoors" to see if they made a baby. As soon as you hear the kissing sound after dropping them, the population counter will go up if they made a baby. Just keep dropping them over and over until you see the counter go up or you see the female holding a baby. It can take 10 or 15 drops, so be persistent!

I'm not why why you would want to keep a low population. It's risky for exactly this reason. As for training a builder, they will have to repair the huts. Even if it says it doesn't need repairs, it will eventually. Have you already done the other building projects? Also, as your population grows, new huts will appear that can be built.
