Does making the difficulty level of the game make more events happen or make the game go by faster or anything like that?

If you want to breed your people then you shouldnt put the boy on top of the girl, put the girl on the boy because the breeding skill goes up on the one you put on top. if a boy has a high breeding skill then he will go around giving all the girls babies so that they cant work and you will eventully run out of food(the baby eats the same amount of food as the adult)

you can "force" the goldchild.. to solve the Butterflies milestone just put it into the garden. you can also pull it to the fruitless plant and it will solve the plant milestone.

Valerie - Over time the child will get better. You do not have to do anything if he is just a child.

Jamie - What do you mean you cant get any more tech points than 17000?

If your food is high enough, put all of your villagers age 14 or above to work on research.
Otherwise if you want to get a lot of tech points...
there is a cheat but it can do badness if your unlucky
What you do is go the start button on the desktop and put your computer time 1 hour ahead. 1 hour on the game is approxamitly 1 year. So if you put your computer time ahead 1 hour, a year will go by on the game. If your unlucky there will be something that happens in that year and there may be something like 300 less food or something.
But otherwise if no one dies or anything, you will have a lot more tech points

Ok- so I am working on task #4 but I can't get my villager to a Master Scientist. How long does it take--?? Is there any way to make him a master faster?

Jamie- I recommend just waiting and not setting your clock on the computer ahead. It is not safe. It can cause a lot of ban and it is better just to wait and try t oearn the tech points yourself.

This is for any computer came, not just VV. It basically lets you change any figure in the game to whatever you want. So, say you just need the 90k tech points for fishing or you want to change your food amount, you can do that with this program.

hello ppl can anyone tell me how you know when you have the golden child does it tell u in the details section?
4 times i put a nursing mother infront of idol then in lagoon but nothing seems to happen 1 of the kids is now 15 lol.

to get a goldan child you need to

get level 3 fertility, the lagoon, and the idle!!
* to get the idle you need level 3 construction , level 2 spirtualy and a master builder
* to get the lagoon you need to have a villager
* for the straight rocks you need to have a master builder, construction 2 and spirtualy 3 to make the temple

VV2 I need a little help. I am almost finished BUT when I sent a villager to pickup the gong piece from the 'ruins' he suddenly "not feeling well". He dropped the gong piece and now it is gone! I have tried dropping a totem on the center again, waiting 24 hours to see if it will re~appear, putting masters of all areas on the center of the ruins, putting villagers where he dropped it and still no gong piece.... Why do I have to purchase my levels of farming,engineering,etc.? And how do you get a golden child?

You have to get those levels because if you don't you won't be able to get the Golden Child.

I got the second level of farming. Is all I can do with that make crops, or can I fish, 'cause it says your villagers do not know how to fish yet if you try to put them in the ocean. I wanna be able to fish!! And is making a crop a puzzle?!

the babies do grow.
if you play with the clock some (make sure u have plenty of food) then you can move the computer clock ahead a few hours... then if you click on the mothers and open up the detail button then it will show teh mothers age blah blah and under their health, then it will show how much longer the mothers are nursing

How do I get my people to make a cemetary? I got level 2 of Spirituality, but when I put them in the garden it says 'enjoying the garden' and when I put them by the 'sacrad area for the dead' they just say confused and further research is necessary! HELP!!!

Well ive just read every ones comment... over 30mins of reading ! Well I have answer to many things actually to bad i cant remember what certain people had problems with. Well my problem is that i've gotten all requirements for making the temple but my builder says he's confused when i place him there. And also my tech points are slow (they take long to get) and how can i make it faster ? Also
i don't breed a lot i keep my population to under 10. So i dont have much villagers.
Im almost done with the game :) HURRAAAY :D

for those of whom who put the mother in the lagoon, some advice: read carefully. the walkthrough says to put the mother in between the lagoon and the idol. you must carve the idol (which takes level 3 science), which is the big rock, and have level 3 fertility. then you get a nursing mother and do as i stated earlier.

i have a problem of my own though. i want to mate two certain people to be ivin the golden child, but i dont have nearly enough points to earn the levels requierd to birth one. should i give up, put most of my villagers on the research table to earn more points, or get a lot of women to have more babies to put on the research table to get more points?

I just Figured out how to Kill The Golden Child. when he walked along the beach my Golden child found a crate i told him to open it then he was bitten by Spiders and Died soon after that ... certainitally proving that the golden child can be killed... by Little Spiders. I have paused my game. try to See what i can do.. and at the moment i am haveing trouble producing another Golden Child. if you can can you please help me??

Hi, I have been trying to get my villagers skill levels up and it is taking so long, I dont understand and sometimes it seems like they dont progress at all. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

I read everyones notes, and remember when I was at those points and trying to figure out what to do next. I have now completed the puzzles and wondered what to do. What I have read,is that I have to purchase VV2. I am hoping I understand this correctly that I am going to start the new game on 2 with all my food, people, and tech points? I sure hope that is right. I love to be able to have all of that for my next adventure.

Ok Im Done With everything but the book hasnt shown up yet when will it, or how do i get it.

Wondering if this is a glitch - or normal function as Ive never been this advanced in the game (I have level two for all techs). My adept parent/breeder just..had relations with the master scientist, population went up, shows the time clock for her nursing, and she is useless..but she is not actually holding a baby. and the action lines are reading as if she has a baby - (" she sees her baby reaches for the magic lagoon waters") and such. wonder if anyone ever had the invisible baby so far?

Just wanted to add something extra on the items washed out on the beach.

I once got a whale washed up on the beach. I helped it survive and got rewarded with an increase in the Spirituality tech. I was on Level 1, so it went to 2. But I believe if you where at Level 2, it should also increase to Level 3. Much better than getting a 1000 food for harvesting it.

I have a question on VV1 and VV2. When viewing the map it shows the villagers in a windowed limited space on the island. How do you get the villagers outside of that limited area so they are using the whole map area?

So, I defititely did the whole mess with the time on my pc and now I get like 1575 minutes until new crop on 2X. I mean I have like 88000+ food, but still...I messed it up and I want to fix it.

Is there a way to do this without restarting?

One of your villagers shall die before you can turn the "peaceful clearing" into a cementery. When it happens, drag a villager into the clearing and then the other villagers will bury their dead friend.

I think I figured out your problems with the Golden Child.

I had no problem forcing him to do his tasks just like regular villagers, I didn't have to wait for him to do it automatically like you state in the walktrough.

OK, I have accomplished all of the puzzles. How do I know if I have "won"? My villagers seem to be exsisting just fine with no help from me - but shouldn't there be some kind of grand finale to end the game??

For basic hints, click on the tiki head-mask-face-thing next to the name place at the bottom of the screen. It is a little pointless but i found it cool.

So I just finished my 90 people max. I am so going to try to get over that. I will keep posted...

I just finished the game today.

The highest I got was 92. I was at 89 and was lucky to have triplets.

Just keep your population at 90, and quickly "go indoors" whenever someone dies.

I'm not sure, but I think it might help if you use a parent who was a twin or triplet.

i heard a large boom, and the mother i was going to use to host the golden child has twins, and goes from 222 min nursing, to 137.. not sure but it was in the ten thousandnths..... wtf? and the girl who got the fish of fertility wont breed. wtf again???

I recently restarted the game and i have 7 villagers, none of them are women. is there any way to get more women so i can get more kids or should i start over?

to get them fishing you need level 3 of farming and you need them to find the strange fish in the lagoon after you get a builder to clear that area. after that they will start to just go fishing as long as the beach is clear of debris.

to get puzzle 10 you have to take the golden child to the garden. it should say "calling butterflies". keep him there untill they show up. they take him too the "mysterious fruitless plant" above the berry bush. the butterflies that are following him will pollinate the plant and solve puzzle 14.

I have to say, I've been so curious about the boulder. I just solved that puzzle and I am so NOT impressed.

I find that when the Golden Child wants to "party" you can click the drum and send him and the rest of the kids to school. This will keep him busy for long enough to send your adults back to work. Also, for costructing the ruins, the idol, and digging up the treasure, you can place multiple villagers on the task at hand. This allows you to complete the task much faster.

Do i need a master builder to find the treaser

First of all I like to thank everyone on this site, it helped me out alot. I just started to play vv1 6 days ago, and i have everything that i needed to get, but my question is when do u see Monkeys, whale, lucusts, wind, and typhoon ect. My next question is when does the game end, when everyone dies of old age.

I want to thank everyone who offered info on this site. I have completed my puzzles. The golden child is the key to the butterflies and the plant that produces fruit. Drag the golden child to the flower garden and he will call the butterflies then drag him to the plant that looks like it could produce fruit. The butterflies pollenate the plant and produces fruit.

How do you produce twins and triplets?
I have level 2 fertility but so far no twins or triplets?

i actually figured out the answer to my question a few minutes after i asked when i went back to playing and the girl had a baby (i read this stuff while i wait for stuff to happen in my game) so yeah sorry just my blondeness coming through

I don't know if anyone has discovered it or not but if you click on the drum beside the school it makes the children gather around and go to school this also seems to increase tech points.

Googled VV1 & found this site. It's great. I had completed everything except the treasure and lost patience trying to find it. Thanks for the help. My villagers are now on their way to digging it up!

Yes Lizzie..I always "beat" that drum beside the school...sometimes in tune with the background music. It's so nice to see all the kiddies go running towards the school. :)

does anyone have a problem when the villagers are building their third small hut, they will not focused on to build it. They just kept abandoning it and go to fix the small hut above it. So I have to kept dragging them back to the new hut so they continue the building.

d_c I experienced that problem the first time so I just patiently dragged them back to the task...but I have noticed that they do go back to building the hut after, let's say, harvesting crops or fishing or doing the laundry. They do go back to the task of building the hut, but they always get distracted by other things to do in the village... :)

hi...well this sucks i finished the game, and i didnt think i had to ge another one...damn i wish i knew that one!!!!! it was a lot of fun though, now i have to go beg my b/f to get me the # 2
