Omino Do you know how many shapes you can make with six or more squares? A lot, that's how many. Omino may seem like a simple Tetris clone at first, but its mechanic of making the pieces larger instead of making them fall faster as you level up adds a refreshing spin. Oh, and there are powerups.

Monty's Moon Follow your dreams! And if your dreams mean you have to pay a monkey scientist in bananas to reach the moon and a hypothetical lady monkey, well, so be it! Though it could use some more variety, this launch game has style and polish to burn for a simple but fun experience.

Ninja Miner When you think of miners, the first association isn't necessarily "ninja". And that's where you're wrong, because ninjas have what it takes: mad digging skills, awesome velocity, and they look cool in a yellow helmet. Ninja Miner is a fast-paced arcade game with some puzzles thrown in, where your goal is to figure out your way around a level, picking up all the diamonds and stars and avoiding spikes, all at breakneck speed.

DefEndless It never ends. Literally! This tower defense game will keep going until you die, as you place and combine gems around the field to keep enemies from reaching your loot. Monkey GO Happy 6 You can't help but smile when you make these monkeys happy in Pencil Kids' wonderfully interactive point-and-click puzzle game. In each stage, figure out what will make the weepy-eyed simian dance in glee. This means using objects creatively, solving puzzles and even completing a few arcade-type mini-games. Finish all 15 stages to be treated to a coin collecting adventure bonus level. But the joy on those adorable faces is what makes the effort worth it.

Turbo Rally Turbo Rally, the newest racing game from TurboNuke, challenges you to a series of dirt tracks. You'll be skidding on the asphalt, skipping across puddles and flying over bumps. Leave your opponents in a dust cloud as you speed past them, boost your way over the finish line as your tires form a fire trail, and have yourself some excitement-packed rally fun.

Wings Over Water Beautiful music, moonlight reflected on the sea and birds gliding on the wind: things that are peaceful and relaxing and sweetly simple. Not your typical arcade avoidance game. Yet this is what Ferry Halim of Orisinal succeeds at best. Use your mouse to control your flight, gathering little blue birds and floating stars while avoidance hazards in this lovely, peaceful excursion that also happens to be a game.

Planet Punch When you wish upon a star, typically you don't think of that star as being a surly, violence-loving mass of energy with planets for fists looking to pummel the ever-loving crap out of everything in its path. But fortunately for us, Matt Thorson and Alec Holowka DID think of it, and it's pretty darned entertaining.

Clowns in the Face Which sounds worse: tennis or clowns? Ha, trick question! They're both equally creepy in their own way! 10tons totally gets that, which is why the team that brought us the physics puzzle game Tennis in the Face has released the follow-up Clowns in the Face. Now, instead of just smacking things in the face with tennis balls, you're smacking clowns in the face with tennis balls. Neat!

Magnetized Magnetized, by Rocky Hong, is a simple one-button HTML5 physics game of pushing, pulling, and sling-shotting a little blip around a screen. Featuring intuitive gameplay, and an atmospheric abstract presentation, Magnetized may require a bit too much precision for some, but has charms that many will be drawn to.

Treasure of the Abandoned City Treasure of the Abandoned City is an action adventure game from Alec Stamos with artwork by Todd Luke. It continues the Tales of the Renegade Sector episodes with a loot hunt through space, sending you on a quest to find Laserbeard's treasure hidden somewhere on the dusty dry planet of Seltan. Fortunately, you get to punch and shoot a bunch of bad guys along the way!

Slayin Slayin isn't a game, it's a time machine rocketing from an 8-bit past. Westerado Go on a stunning retro action-adventure to uncover the identity of a murderer in this old-school styled Western tale. Do odd jobs and favours to learn clues to the identity of the villain, and travel all over the sun-soaked land. Though the controls and the lack of a save feature make this one a specific, and an acquired taste, Westerado is one of the most beautiful browser games to come down the line in a long time.

Orbox C Game Balance's series of sliding-puzzles is back with a shiny new coat of sparkles in Orbox C! This installment may be a little heavy on the glitz and techno music, but the intelligent challenges should appeal to fans both new and old.

Bunny Cannon Ever wondered where baby bunnies come from? The cuddly protagonist in La Ventanita's Bunny Cannon does, too, but since everyone tells him a different story, he need to straighten things out. Luckily this involves nothing more playing a game of pachinko where bunnies fired from cannons multiply as soon as they come in contact with the opposite gender. It's a lot like Peggle or Coin Drop!, only so much cuter and with so many more rabbits.

Dibbles 4: A Christmas Crisis Our true loves over at The Podge have given one heck of a gift to us: Dibbles 4: A Christmas Crisis. When a Christmas version of an established series is released, it often turns out to be a level-pack except there with more bells on the soundtrack and sprites modified to include floppy red hats. But with new levels, new commands, and new animated ways to kill off your squad of helpers, Dibbles 4 is slightly-sadistic holiday fun for the whole family.

Evilgeddon Spooky Max It's just you, your hair, your sunglasses, and legions of monsters looking to take a bite out of you in Firebeast's quirky, action-packed arcade shooter. Blast your way through waves of baddies in each area to take down the boss, earning coins and experience for upgrades on the go. A vibrant design and simple gameplay makes this the perfect choice for some light, casual, locking and loading.

The North Pole is being attacked by a giant worm that is determined to destroy Mr. Claus and his holly jolly Christmas helpers. And this time, that giant worm is you! Here's your chance to get payback on Santa for never bringing you that Red Ryder BB gun because you might shoot your eye out.

Earn To Die 2012 Earn To Die 2012 is an update to Toffee Games arcade-style hit, and has all the post-apocalyptic racing action you could hope for, without the danger of infected bites! Customize your car and plow through waves of the undead. A zombie-smushing good time, though undoubtedly constructed as a teaser for the enhanced mobile version.

Pinata Hunter 2 Yellow Bouncy Ball knows how badly you need something to release all that pent up stress that, if you were to hold it all in, might turn you into the Hulk. Or get you a nice white jacket along with a soothing white padded cell. Regardless, they're back with Pinata Hunter 2! With upgrades abound your only job is to beat the candied goodness out of some poor pinata who doesn't seem to be concerned with its ultimate demise. Live chat allows you to talk trash to your fellow players as you try to annihilate each other across the changing landscape. ShellShock Live is back and better than ever with more weapons, more landscapes, more modes, and more explodey fun with ShellShock Live 2 (ShellShockaggeddon?)

Why, by making a sequel of course! In retrospect, the answer seems obvious. It's Shameless Clone 2, the arcade space shooter that rips off ALL the things! American Racing It's hard to resist the siren call when walking by the obligatory sit-down racing game at your average movie theater arcade. American Racing, by TurboNuke, seeks to capture that sense of action, and by and large, it succeeds. Casanova Orisinal invites you to help a little giraffe with a noble goal... to get all the smoochin' he can from an endless parade of girl giraffes! This simple, bouncy arcade game offers little variety or depth, but Ferry Halim's signature rich warm design and inherently cheerful concepts make this the sort of game you'll want to turn to for an instant pick-me-up.

Flippin' Dead Juicy Beast's latest arcade game is an exercise in the bizarre as you control a bear with purple sunglasses trying to hold out as long as you can against hordes of zombies. The catch? You can't fight back unless you find and bash open a pink crate that temporarily turns all zombies into naked fleshy humans for you to devour. No, we don't know why either.

Earn to Die It's a vision of the future we've all considered at one time or another: zombies have taken over the world, and the only way we can get to safety is to drive beat-up old vehicles across the barren landscape, splatting undead walkers as we floor it until we're out of gas. Earn to Die lets us play out that inevitable reality in the safety of our own mobile devices, dropping you in a desert and giving you a hefty garage of upgrades and the ability to earn cash by running into the wilderness and stunt driving as far as you can over and over again. Despite being a teensy bit repetitive, Earn to Die has that lovely ability to keep us hooked, probably because we get to crush zombies with sawblades attached to our bumper.

Electro Combo Ready... set... KABOOM! KragSoft delivers a lovely and engaging little chain-reaction arcade game that involves placing bombs to clear the screen. The catch? All those little icons you see drifting around explode in different ways, and figuring that out AND how best to use them is part of the strategy. A simple idea with a clean presentation that makes for an engaging little snack of a game rather than a main course.

Vivirion An arcade avoidance game by Mortar Games that has you controlling a small. fragile virus, attacked on all sides by the defenses of the host body. The Fishy-styled gameplay little slow going at first, but the eerie atmosphere and a surprisingly affecting final level make Vivirion worth playing until the very end.

Pakkuman's Defense You've got a few minutes before you have to be at work. That means it's time for a game! But what to play, Pac-Man or a tower defense game? How about both? From Tametick, the creator of Cardinal Quest, comes Pakkuman's Defense, a surprisingly superb melding of the classic arcade game Pac-Man and a modern tower defense game. There are ghosts. There are dots to eat. There are towers to place. And yes, you're going to have a blast with this unusual hybrid!

Sticky Linky Sticky Linky is an arcade physics puzzler from Sergey Batishev's Gluey Games! You'll match colors! You'll build wobbly structures! Super Hexagon Super Hexagon, the latest release from VVVVVV creator Terry Cavanagh, is the kind of game that makes you hate games. It will make you feel like an inept player who couldn't play an arcade game even if you were in Russia (where arcade game plays you, we hear). You might even get mad at Terry, who crafted this fast, stylish game seemingly just to show you how often you can fail. But after you lose ten times in as many seconds, you'll suddenly realize that Super Hexagon has you by the collar, has already taken your lunch money, and if you want it back, you're going to have to keep playing. Strangely enough, that's a challenge you'll be thrilled to undertake!

Knightmare Tower JuicyBeast serves up a silly and addictive little arcade launch game about blasting off on barrels and cleaving monsters in 'twain. Earn gold by completing achievements, upgrade your equipment and earn new power-ups, and prepare for a fun, frantic arcade experience that's perfect for filling time.

Pina Pony Call it base sentimentality, but sometime what we need is a pinata racing through a magical candy kingdom, collecting gummi bears and dodging sugar-hungry bat-wielding toddlers. Gameshot apparently has recognized this Jungian urge and delivers with Pina Pony, a retro jump and run platformer. Like a bag of Skittles, Pina Pony may not fill you up, but it's fun and colorful, and definitely a sweet snack.

Breakfast It's always interesting when a flash game comes along that makes you look at things in a whole different light. Who knew, for example, that the ordinary day-to-day activity of making breakfast was frought with so many pitfalls and hidden dangers? In Breakfast, a strangely compelling little onebutton cooking game by Gio-M, you awake after a one night stand and your chances of a second date will depend completely on your ability to make a high quality breakfast by pressing the spacebar at the precise moment necessary to chop, blend, and boil your ingredients in the best way possible to satisfy your lover-in-waiting.

Kitty Punch Weird? Sure. Wonderful? Little bit. Hot Chick Games, creator of Kissma, deliver another bizarre arcade game about dressing up as a cat and batting at a toy dangling from the screen. Unlock strange bonus rounds full of surreal imagery for a simple, frantic, and fun experience that will raise an eyebrow but inject a little surreality into your day.

Dynamite Snake It's high octane snake as you slither around 73 levels, trying to keep ahead of the explosions caused by your own combustible body. A help as much as a hindrance, blast through bricks and push blocks with literally explosive force to make your way through progressively more difficult mazes.

Organ Trail: Director's Cut The end of the world is nigh, and it wants your brains! In this quirky, darkly humorous mobile edition of the zombie simulation based on the classic game Oregon Trail, saddle up with fellow survivors and strike out across the country with the promise of safety hanging in the distance. Manage your supplies, trade with people you meet along the way, deal with boss battles, and above all else hope Lady Luck decides to smile on you. That is, if you don't want to come down with dysentery while someone else has a broken leg and the others have all been bitten by zombies.

Space is Key (mobile) When sliding through a blocky two color world, keep one thing in mind: Space is Key. Actually, if you're playing this painfully challenging arcade game on your iOS device, that title isn't as true. With the browser versions of Space is Key and Space is Key 2, all you do is tap the [spacebar] to jump, hence the name. On a touch screen there is no spacebar, so instead, your finger is key. That's a bit of an awkward title for a game, though, so instead of brain thinking, we'll game playing!

Flood Runner 4 Carnivorous plants. Lava. Rising tides. Fire. A Tyrannosaurus Rex. You know... maybe this cave wasn't such a great place to hang out after all? Run for as long as you can to stay one step ahead of certain doom, earning achievements and upgrades along the way, in this latest installment in the popular arcade action series.

CLOP Forsooth! There's a fair and virtuous maiden beyond that hill, noble unicorn! Too bad unicorns aren't so good with hills. Or rocks. Or galloping. Or... maybe you should just stand still. Foddy.net returns for another simple, silly and tricky arcade reflex game sure to bring out the pretty pretty pony in you.

Fog and Thunder If video games are any indication, the world we live in is filled with dungeons stocked with progressively more difficult enemies and convenient puzzles designed to help us descend further into darkness. Tequibo's Fog and Thunder doesn't try to hide the fact that it's built around the feeling of being lost in a roguelike RPG, but the action-oriented gameplay is different than what you might expect, as it employs light-based mechanics that affect everything from enemies to exits to your own special abilities. Where's a good pair of night vision goggles when you need them?

Flight (mobile) The surprise hit arcade launch game soars out of your browser and into your iOS in this polished little port. When a little girl wants to see her mother for Christmas, she sends the wish to the North Pole on a paper airplane, but doesn't suspect the many hands it will pass through along the way. Combining simple, addictive gameplay with a beautiful presentation, upgrades, and achievements, Flight is a perfect fit for the touchscreen and something everyone can enjoy.

Dibbles Pro Pack Return to the same environment that started The Podge's addictive puzzle series, but this time with 33 all new problem-solving scenarios. As before, set action stones to command the dibbles and they'll lay down their lives in all manner of ways to ensure the king can safely complete his journey. Packed with puzzle fun, it's perfect for when you just can't get enough dibbles.

Effing Worms 2 The Effing Worms are back? Wait... We're the ones controlling them? Never mind then. Lets wreak some havoc! Effing Worms 2, an arcade action game developed by Effing Games (naturally), has the player guiding the actions of their very own voracious subterranean beast. It can't really be called a particularly deep game, but it has that visceral kind of DESTROY EVERYTHING! fun that will never go out of style.

MoonType: Episode 2 Flex those metacarpals, because the moon is in danger from alien invaders and the only thing standing between the moon and utter distruction are your typing skills. I really do hope you were one of those kids paying attention in 7th grade typing class and not just playing math blasters, because the entire human race is depending on it. It's a great little game that'll keep you playing long after you beat all the regular levels and have been fired from your cushy middle management job for playing video games instead of, you know, working.

Robot Brent Silby's latest DHTML creation is Robot, a cool little retro shooter where Robot must fly and Robot must blast untold hordes of Alien Invaders. What's more, Robot must protect his pack of adorable Baby Robots. And since, as everyone knows, Baby Robots are Alien Invaders' favorite food, Robot is not going to have an easy time. A retro shooter with elements both familiar and unique, Robot is classic arcade fun.

Dibbles 3: Desert Despair So Dibbles 1 wasn't enough for you and Dibbles 2 was too cold? Looking for something hotter to please sense of royal demandingness? Oh, and you want more challenge and new ways to order plucky red dibbles to their sacrificial demise? Then this next installment of the classic lemmings-style arcade game series is everything you command. By setting action blocks just so, in the right place and in the best order, you'll ensure the king is saved from his Desert Despair and you can rest easy knowing it was all for the greater good.

Lee-Lee's Quest 2 The original Lee Lee's Quest left players with a lot of unanswered. Will platforming hero guy Lee Lee ever make peace with his cubey neighbors? Will Marcus Richert ever run out snarky fourth-wall breaking dialogue? Answer: APPARENTLY NOT. Just as hilarious as the first installment, Lee Lee's Quest 2 is the laugh-out loud sequel every fan could have wanted.

Super Big Gun Adventure You are a pariah of the Gentlemen's Council, who became jealous of the length of your gun, which doubles as a sort of jetpack, immediately after giving you said weapon. Make your way through their headquarters, past lava, spikes, and enemies with much smaller guns in this physics based platform shooter game.

Tao Help the girl escape reality by meditating. The real world is sometimes amazing, but being in it all the time is often quite tiresome. Help the protagonist empty her mind by systematically preventing her thoughts from disturbing her meditation. Tao is an entry into our 10th Casual Gameplay Design Competition, with the theme of "Escape".

Jump Face It seems that an ANSI face has gotten a second shot at the big time in Ozzie Mercados Jump Face, a one button puzzle platformer.Jump Face is a delightful skewing of common platform game mechanics, and indeed, it's certain that its unusual character gravity and momentum will frustrate some at first. Those who survive the initial rage-quitting impulse, though, will find a charming little game with some interesting puzzles.

Llama in Your Face Being a llama does have its good points: you have a trampoline to bounce up and down on all day, your fur is soft and durable, and you can spit like it's nobody's business. Because it's not. You hate those intrusive zoo visitors who keep trying to get up into your face. So spit on them! Use your mouse to aim and then click to spit in this engrossing and fun shooter by Peter Sperl and Simon Parzer. Strategic use of upgrades is required as the later levels become quite difficult but the charm of the wooly jumper is also hard to resist. It begs the question, Which is worse: having a llama face or having llama in your face?

Hot Air Jr. Nitrome seriously overhauls their balloon-centric action avoidance adventure series with this latest installment! When the family pooch is stolen by a malicious spiky baddie, it's up to the son of a hero to venture out into the hostile wild blue yonder and explore stages packed with wild hazards and enemies. With a complete engine revamp, checkpoints, and more responsive controls, it's still a challenge, but not an impossible one!

First Person Tutor Witherworth University Professor Nathaniel Paynuss believes that proof-reading is meant to be a weapon to get back at those snotty collegiate brats making fun of him on "The Face Book". In First Person Tutor, an "educational" arcade game developed by Big Blue Boo Labs for the 7 Day FPS Game Jam, you play the role of beleaguered TA to the evil professor, held captive by a huge pile of student debt. You have a stack of papers to mark, and a score of professorial grudges Paynuss would be happy to settle by GPA proxy. You know what you have to do. The unique premise of First Person Tutor should appeal many on the internet, but it's very polished for a Game Jam work. The dark satire of college politics should give it wider appeal.

Photon Baby Grab your Photonic Laser Blaster, and get ready to bring a little light to the creatures of the dark in Photon Baby, a genre-busting platformer by Jeremias Babini. Drawing inspiration from all manner of genres, Photon Baby is a unique little creation, with influences as far ranging as Laser Physics puzzles and the 16-bit classic "Zombies Ate My Neighbors". Some of the later levels get a little busy with competing inspirations, but overall Photon Baby is perfect for arcade gamers who wish Halloween lasted all year.

Total Robostruction There's nothing more satisfying than world domination... that is unless it's world domination by robot! Robot House Games brings you their interpretation of this experience in the arcade-style game, Total Robostruction. Drag matching body parts together to create your mechanical army as you climb the ranks of an evil corporation. Just keep an eye on that timer cause, you know, there's no dilly-dallying in taking over the world.

Cube: A Google Maps Experiment Developed by advergamesters supreme B-Reel, Cube: A Google Maps Experiment transforms locales across the globe into levels inspired by those maze toys where you must roll a tiny metal ball through a labyrinth, all while highlighting features of Google Maps. A little ephemeral in gameplay, but very, very pretty, Cube is smart futuristic fun.
