Weekday Escape

elleWelcome back to another thrilling episode of Weekday Escape! On last week's show, our hero escaped from wild mangoes only to be stranded with a magic book and recalcitrant new employees. Meanwhile, a hunt for the perfect bikini befuddled a few fans while others blissfully sung odes to vegetation. What could be lurking beyond that next locked door? Will our hero solve the devious three color stars code, rescue all the green men, recover the lost candy and escape? Stay tuned to find out...

Candy Rooms 12: Turquoise Blue NaturalCandy Rooms 12: Turquoise Blue Natural - Almost as easy as taking candy from... well, you have better things to do than that. Like finding five pieces of the sugary goodness which are then magically morphed into your key to freedom. That is, if you ever get tired of FunkyLand's fab decor, this time done up in that most chill shade of blue. This episode tends toward the ordinary, although there are some very fun visuals to behold, just as you've come to expect from the cognoscente of rooms too cool to escape.

Escape from the Three Colors Star RoomEscape from the Three Colors Star Room - Yomino Kagura eschews a fancy color scheme for these plainly beige walls but isn't so remiss as to forgo using colors in coding a lock or two. Although the cursor changes, you'll need keen eyes to discover why some cupboards stay closed. After creating forty-two of these rooms, it's well-established that Yomino Kagura can design clever, logical puzzles—this room is no different—with just enough challenge to keep it interesting but not quite enough originality to make it pop. All the same, opening that door, however it comes about, is still a satisfying feeling.

Find the Escape-Men 108: A Typical Escape Game 2Find the Escape-Men 108: A Typical Escape Game 2 - is indeed rather typical as far as these things go. You wake up in an unknown place. Head hurting. The door is locked. You know the drill. Truly there's nothing new for folks familiar with No1Game's methods, which go as far as pixel hunts and real time events to prevent over-easy acquisition of green men. But, as far as escape games go, there really is nothing else like a good Find the Escape-Men game; its idiosyncrasies are purely its own. And this is good: just some harmless fun (never mind those boards across the window).

We love escape games, and our readers love talking about them and sharing hints! How about you? Let us know what you think, ask for clues, or help out other players in the comments below.

Finished the Star Room in ~3 minutes, Turquoise Blue in ~5, but am stuck at seven of those annoying little green dudes. No clues, no items to use, just someone sleeping in the tub who's too big to move. I have obviously missed a pixel somewhere.

can't figure out the

wobbly picture puzzle in candy rooms. it says the otrder of drinking fountain is BL TL TC TR BR BC. the code punched in on the buttons shows it is br,bl,br,bl,tl,tr. I go to the wobbly puzzle and itsays it's wrong.

help :(

I think I figured it out.

either the code is random, or the solution was written too fast. the buttons suggested it was BL TL TC TR BR BC in the walkthrough but the diagram showed it was BL TL TC TR BL BC so when pushing the buttons that way it was a different solution. Anyway, you can give your opinion though.

Paul, you're right.

The order for pushing the buttons is actually
2 3 4
1 6 5

not
3 4 5
2 1 6

as the walkthrough has it. The walkthrough does give the correct order for wiggling the corners, though.

3 stars escape: Did I miss a clue?

If I position the right arrow first and then the left arrow, the box does not open. I must back out to reset the puzzle and then position the left arrow first. I looked for a clue showing a specific sequence and could not find one. So only the end position should matter.

Minor issue for a game this small but a major pet peeve of mine.

thanks reka. I don't know if it's possible to correct that in the walkthrough though but it might make it easierfor everyone.

A persistent problem I have with all the Escape-Men puzzles is that the web page loads but I end up with a black screen where the game should be. It affects multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox & IE), I have tried with my AV turned off (Kaspersky). My Flash Player is up to date. It doesn't seem to affect anything else just this.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks for the advice, although I'm not necessarily convinced that is the issue. I have uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it in the last couple of days. When I check Add Ons it asks if I want to enable Ad Blocker - implying it's not running. I do notice a bunch of adverts down the right hand side of Jay is Games when using Chrome, suggesting no ad blocking software is operating. Firefox doesn't seem to be loaded with any ad blocking software either. I've checked IE and that also doesn't seem to have any ad blocking software configured.

Still confused of Cambridge.

Turquoise Room - I love Funkyland games, I know they're super easy but there is something SO relaxing about them! I love coming home from work in the evening and finding the Weekday Escape has one of their games!

Star Room - pretty straightforward, no pixel hunting is always nice, there was just one cupboard that had me momentarily stumped! Just needed to be more observant.

Escape Men - well, it's an Escape Men game! Weird and silly, and I had to get a hint for one or two of them (pixel hunting ones!). But these games are always amusing :D

woo! Post power gets me out of the star room!

The problem I had with that item I mentioned solved itself with wild clicking. :-(

When I first started the star room I tried the star box and got the code accidentally while clicking it to see what it was all about. So, I restarted so I could see what the code was and then I found it. I hadn't yet spun around to that side of the room yet. It's cool to get puzzles quick like that but I don't like not knowing what I did. I wish puzzle boxes would continue to display the code you used to open them.
