Super Stock Take

ArtbegottiThey say if you put a billion monkeys in front of a billion typewriters, one types out the programming for a brand new Nitrome game! The rest are then divvied up by how ActionScript-y their typings looked and given other tasks in the office. However, the monkey who solves puzzles the best doesn't get a promotion, but is instead relegated to the stockroom, pushing boxes around all day and fetching items for the corporate bigwigs. Super Stock Take is an accurate profile of that monkey's life, showing the blend of sliding block puzzles and platformers that a monkey's gotta go through, all to earn a wage of peanuts.

Super Stock TakeYour apt ape can move around using the [arrow] keys, but for maximum monkey efficiency, remember that you can pick up boxes with the [down] key and throw them with [spacebar]... and be sure to lift with your knees! When you're picking up a box sitting on the ground, you're restricted to facing the direction of the stack, but if you can jump and lift some blocks from underneath, you can change direction at will. Keep in mind that if you knock a box off an edge, it will fall with gravity, but in a rigid rectangular sense (meaning you're not going to get boxes spinning as they fall), so expect impossible bridges and ridiculous towers to be a part of your solution as you scramble to grab a sour turnip. Put on your hard hat and get to work, there's lots of puzzling to be done!

Liking the game but can't get past #7

Is 7 the one with the corked item in the lower right? If so, I quit there too. I think I'm supposed to throw the bomb looking box on it, but I really didn't care too much about the game to figure out how to do that from the appropriate height. Either that or I just can't figure out how to uncork the thing.

Hint on #7:

Get the orange box to the far right (boxes ordered pink, brown, orange). Then, get the pink box on top of the orange. The remainder should be fairly easy.

Hint on #10 (the "cork in bottle" level):

You'll need to rearrange boxes so they are the same height as the "bottle" the cork is in.

Now I'm stuck on #12. Been working at it for over 2 hours. I think I'm done.

I'm stuck on 20 too. I can't seem to build anything tall enough, even from the high spot.

Got level 20.

Drag the left laser over against the ledge. Take out the side of the red box with the right laser, then jump off the left laser and throw the right laser on top of the red box. Take the crate out of the red box, and put it on top of the left laser, as far to the left as you can get it. You can then grab the red box and jump onto the left laser with it. You should be able to figure it out from there.

I hope my instructions aren't too complicated.

Talk about mean!

First he tells me to find my own pay, then accuses me of stealing when I do!

For level 21

Drop the box with Gary til it's balancing on the two vertical boxes. Drop down, lift the vertical box on the platform you're on, then jump and hurl it towards the other one. The box falls straight down and the lasers open the sides. Then use the vertical boxes to block the lasers (from both sides!) and get Gary.

Level 22, now...
