100% Complete

100complete.gifJohnBA game you can beat in five seconds? That's not a coffee break game, that's a thinking about taking a coffee break game. Fortunately, Nolan Labs' action/exploration game 100% Complete features more than just a few seconds of gameplay, though if you want to get technical, you can reach the end simply by heading right and using the door. If you want to actually accomplish something before winning, though, you'll need to get to exploring. Yay!

Much like Achievement Unlocked, the world of 100% Complete is packed with secrets, most of which can be found by pushing on certain blocks. There are 50 objects to find, each of which adds 2% to your score. A few of the objects also grant you new abilities, like the beanie hat that lets you fly or the glasses that let you see secret blocks. Otherwise, you've got to be thorough to locate the hidden items, and that means poking your nose against every wall, checking every block, and revisiting passageways multiple times to ensure you've mined them for all they're worth.

100% Complete is a short and simple game that doesn't try to do anything grandiose. Its straightforward premise is to allow you to find items and work towards perfection. Your level of enjoyment will depend on how dedicated you are to getting good scores, so if story or level progression matters to you, this game likely won't satisfy your itch. With a few more ability-bestowing items, some more interesting ways to hide items, and a little less repetition, 100% Complete could have been the kind of game that stops the figurative presses. As it stands, this simple game jam creation is just a fun diversion for anyone interested in finding a few lost tacos and getting points for it.

Great little game. I think it only took me about 20 minutes to find everything. A perfect challenge for a lunch break.

this is a really fun game but its so confusing for me. hints please?

I'm at 78%. Is there any way to see what numbered secrets we have left to collect?

Crud. It doesn't save progress.

This game is ridiculously easy. I don't understand the positive ratings.

All you do is

go to the left and right and go down each hole to find items. The door is all the way on the right, and the last item is through a solid block just past the door all the way on the right.

I was wondering when this would be posted, seeing as how I subbed it more than a week ago.

inheritance.fan, I suspect that ALL the remaining treasures are

beyond the "end-of-game" door.

I'm still missing 4%, and I was 4% behind you before I did the above. Any hints?

I notice that

the beanie and goggles are still there even though I've collected them, and I can't re-collect them.

Is this happening for anyone else? Is this perhaps where my missing 4% lie?

Will Coon,

what you are looking for might be behind the upper left door in the main screen, the lower right door on the next screen, the upper left door on the next screen, and then down the third hole from the right?

That was it! Thanks.

Kind of an irritating place for there to be a secret, as the only way to find it is repetitively hurling yourself down death pits which in almost every other instance just send you back to start. The game suggests the possibility in the first room, but otherwise seems to have a fairly consistent language telling you NOT to do this. Ah well.

I also notice that the game can't properly display "100%" after you get all of the secrets - or is that just me?

That was my last 4% as well. Thanks Will. Saved me 20 minutes of mindless wondering.

Excuse me. Thanks matador.

Will Coon - I went to the door and found up to 86%. Sadly I closed out and it did not save my progress.
-_-

I got everything I could before going through the door. 72%
Then I entered the door and got 94%.

I dug the game, but once you find the goggles it gets much easier. The only real complaint is the leap of faith in the spoiler tags above.

i truly enjoyed this game... mechanics are simple and enjoyable, but you are challenged with remembering where you've been and where you need to go... not a simple task!
my first play-thru yielded 92%... second time thru 100%! YAY!
too bad Michael Feigin is so much smarter than the rest of us... he might be missing some enjoyment in life :)

I'm wondering if this is a normal part of the game or a glitch I'm experiencing:

When I go down the first two holes on the right, the game automatically restarts. I've completed 16% by playing the other areas. Is this normal? Will those spaces be playable once I find something in particular?

Completed.
littlediva12, it shouldn't restart completely. Check again, you should still have the things you've collected.

It's okay. It's a short little time waster, but I really dislike the music.

Help!

I got the green goggles, and their function is obvious. I also got the basketball, although its function still eludes me. Does it have a function? More importantly, how do I go through green blocks that are not at floor level?

inheritance.fan, The game doesn't restart completely w/o my collected items; it restarts as if I'd pressed 'R'. I'm wondering if these aren't playable areas or just not playable for me! I'm now at 74% and

w/the goggles, I can see I've exhausted all other paths.

Seems there should be more spaces to explore. Thanks, though!

Yay! One Hundred Per Cent.

@ray9na

I don't think the basketball has any use, it's just for a bit of fun.

@Ray9na:

Also, for the green blocks that are not at ground level, I find it easier to just fly once you get the beanie and move against the block.

Thanks, matador! That was it for me too.

littlediva12,

You're probably missing things in two places.

Eleven here:

beyond the "end-of-game" door (thanks Will Coon!)

Two somewhere, possibly here:

behind the upper left door in the main screen, the lower right door on the next screen, the upper left door on the next screen, and then down the third hole from the right (thanks matador!)

100% on the first go! Woo. :D

Thanks to Will Coon for pointing out how to get the 22 % I was missing.

Part of my problem was that I was playing on an old computer yesterday, so the game was very laggy and unresponsive. Now that I'm on my new computer today, it's going much more smoothly.

In fact, by pure chance, today I got the beanie before I got the goggles! Yesterday, I hadn't found the beanie.

For the life of me, I cannot find the goggles. Hint, pretty please?

@crimsonthread

From the starting point, go left and fall down the rabbit hole. Then go all the way right and push through. Now go down 3 platforms from where you're standing and push through the far left side.

Help?

I'm at 90% and I keep re-re-visiting places I've already re-visited.

Hm. Well, thanks to matador | August 8, 2012 1:26 PM I'm now at 94% but I'm still flailing.

Thanks, Ray9na!

Only issue that I've found with the game (and maybe I'm not looking hard enough!) is that there doesn't appear to be any listing of items that have been found. It tells you when you find each item (Number 14 found, etc), but is there a way to look at your list?

Hey ray9na

I am pretty sure you will find what you are looking for

after the door, and to the right (it is the side where you have two further exits) There are the, moveable blocks to the left on the floor and the right up above, but OVER YOUR HEAD ... is the gap you are looking for.

Sorry if that is not the exact (left/right) directions, I am not about to play again ... but certainly that opening over my head was the one I missed for a while

I'm still stuck at 94%.

I've already gone through the blocks on the "winner" screen.

What am I missing?

@yaddab

YES! That did it. Thank you! I am now *ahem* 100% Complete!

96%. Went down all holes, through all doors that I could find, still lacking 2 items. As far as I could tell, I followed all paths as far as they would go.

(including beyond the exit door)

Whenever I try to play the game, the place where the game is supposed to be is blank. Help?

[Make sure you have Flash Player installed, Javascript enabled and any browser extensions disabled. -Jay]

Stuck at 98%. I've looked everywhere I can think of.

does anyone know the mini-game in the game like collecting diamonds and passing trough the bricks at the end of mini-game "dave" wrote below. that mimi-game is my childhood game and i want to play again but i dont find anywhere because of not knowing the name of the game

Yay, that was fun. Reached 100% after maybe 30 minutes? I got to about 86% and got a little stuck, until I started wondering if I'd checked

all the holes to fall down. Sure enough, the first two just take you back to the start, but the third takes you to another area.

Clever evil little game. I like it. Nothing classic, nothing too memorable, but just the kind of half-hour's fun I come here for. :)

I'm sad this won't run on my laptop. Pixel art game that's too high-end for a five-year-old laptop? Apparently all too common.

@ marshalljpeters

Did you check

the top block all the way to the left, then the top one again, then drop down the second-to-last pit. I was stuck at 96% too until I found that

94% any help please? It feels like I've been through all the doors. :/
