The AGS Bake Sale Bundle
What better way to spend the weekend than gorging on more than a dozen creative, original games? The AGS Bake Sale Bundle does something new and neat with the "sticking indie games together into bundles" fad, releasing 14 unique games made with Adventure Game Studio by members of its community. The price, as you might have guessed, is pay-what-you-want, and proceeds are donated to Child's Play charity!
For anyone in love with the adventure genre, the Bake Sale will provide you with plenty of food to keep you playing for weeks. There's also a fair share of non-adventure games to be had, including a shooter, a platform game, and a few simulations! For example, Escape the Barn is a classic room escape game, just like the ones you're used to seeing in your browser, while Indiana Rodent and the Raiders of the Lost Cheese is an impressively large platformer. Then there's the simulation RAM Ghost that puts you in charge of a little ghost's happiness, sort of like The Sims, but with a haunted house!

This looks great, but I can't find anything on AGS' site about system requirements. I'm assuming Windows-only, but I'm always hopeful for Mac compatibility.
I know there's a port of the AGS engine for Linux, but not one for Mac. They probably run very well on Wine/Parallels, but I can't confirm that myself.
I have a mac, and have played AGS stuff pretty well with Crossover Games (paid software- don't know if it works with lion), and am playing the bakesale bundle games using wineskin (freeware) on my new macbook with very few problems (just use windowed mode).
There's an AGS Runtime app that works for Mac OS. To use it, you have to put AGS Runtime in your dock, then drag the app for the game you want to play to the AGS Runtime icon in the dock. It's a bit weird but easy to use.
As an adventure game aficionado, this makes me happy.
As a adventure hater, this makes me sad. :(
I bought it anyway, since I like supporting indie dev. But I don't think I'll play any other game than Indiana Rodent and the Raider of the Lost Cheese.
Thanks for the info, guys! The download link for the AGS Runtime app is broken though (the one in the forum that Mike's *working* link goes to), and looks like it was abandoned (looking at later pages in that that thread). I might check out wineskin, though. I hadn't heard of that one before.
