Letters In Boxes #2

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to regular ol' crossword puzzles, a wild Letters In Boxes appears! We received such a warm response to last week's puzzle that we thought we'd follow up with another set of puzzles for your solving pleasure. This week, we've got a bit of a sideways challenge for you, with puzzles to play on a slight tilt. Can you keep your thinking straight as you solve this set of stumpers?
In case you missed it last week, here's a review on how to play: Below, you'll find a puzzle to solve. Click on it to open it in a new window (and see it full-sized). When you think you've stumbled on the solution, redirect your attention to the window's address bar (in this case, http://images.jayisgames.com/lettersinboxes/lib2start.jpg). Change the filename of the image (namely, "lib2start") to your answer (remember to keep it a .jpg file and within the same directory and use all lowercase characters) to see if you're correct. If you're right, the next puzzle pops up and you're on your way! If not, try tweaking your answer and try again.
This batch of puzzles contains four puzzles to solve. On the fourth puzzle, you'll find the email address for sending your final answer. We'll hand out a prize to the first correct entry we receive, plus four additional randomly-selected correct entries. Please include your Casual Gameplay account display name with your entry. You must be at least 13 years of age to enter. Only one submission per participant, please. Offer void where prohibited. Your deadline for submitting your answers is Monday, June 6th at 11:59 PM (GMT-5:00). Take on this troupe of tilted teasers and you could triumph with a trophy! (There are no actual trophies, it just fit with the alliteration.) Good luck!
Update: Congratulations to these 11 winners! :D
All winners were given a choice of prizes or an entry into a GRAND PRIZE drawing to be held at the end of August! Congratulations and thanks for playing with us! Look for another Letters in Boxes again soon!

This contest is over! Here are the answers for this set of puzzles:
Puzzle 1
Puzzle 1 Answer
The goal of this puzzle was to find a chain of five-letter words, where the last three letters of one word were the first three letters of the next word. The completed word chain was PASTA, STAMP, AMPLE, PLEAT, EATEN, TENOR, NORTH, and the unclued word (PLEAT) was the filename for the next puzzle.
Puzzle 2
Puzzle 2 Answer
Remember when I said that this set of puzzles was on a tilt? The phrase "NEXT CLUE CAN BE FOUND AT QUILTSTORE DOT JPG" could be found by tilting the entire grid 45 degrees to the right and reading the words straight across, wrapping around edges.
Puzzle 3
Puzzle 3 Answer
Unlike the first puzzle, where adjacent words shared common letters, the same three letters would appear in every word, shifting a bit each time it moved down. The answer was ANT, which resulted in ANTHEMS, PANTHER, GRANTED, INFANTS, and DEFIANT.
Puzzle 4
Puzzle 4 Answer
As some of you pointed out in the comments, this puzzle used a handful of semi-palindromes (also known as semordnilaps) where a word, when spelled backward, resulted in a different word. Each clue corresponded with a two-word phrase, with the trick that if you flipped the entire set of first words upside down (that is, backwards and in reverse order), they'd become the second words. The answers to the (painfully pun-laden, I apologize) clues were TEN DESSERTS, RATS DELIVER, REMIT REWARD, DRAWER TIMER, REVILED STAR, and STRESSED NET. By using the numbered letters (shown in the picture above as blue boxes, due to formatting issues), you could spell out the final solution, SALIVATES
Winners will be announced soon!
