Okay, I guess I'm still missing something - I have all the inventory items, but on the PC, I have the file labeled 'code' which will not do anything for me. All the inventory is greyed out except for the book and the two papers.

Feeling like a dummy...have gone and done the search for the first game(thank you Raf.) but can't figure out the name/password combo...hints anyone?

I'm on #2 right now. I wish the navigation was a tad better...sure, it's easy to get around, but half the time when I'm trying to click on something I end up swinging around to a different perspective of the room (and I don't just mean when I'm clicking around the left- and right-hand edges).

Anyways, does anyone know what inventory item #2 is? Apparently I have used it as it is now greyed out for me and no longer clickable/draggable, but I have no idea what it did when I used it. I am missing inventory items 1, 3 and 7 right now, if that helps.

Ok so I have all the items....but i can't figure out what the username and password are, plus I let it time out by mistake and it kicks you out!! I had to restart and find them all again.

What I thought was a USB key was actually an iceblock. hold it up to the window and it melts, revealing another code.

Ok, here is the username for episode #3, and how I think you're supposed to be able to get it (also spoils how to get one of the inventory items and what I think said item is for):

The username, according to other places I looked online, is leo.hu (and this worked for me). You can see on the loading screen that the missing guy's name is Leo, but his last name is not given (despite what others elsewhere have claimed...unless maybe his last name is there in Chinese, which I wouldn't know). However, you do have a phone number and extension on the piece of paper that falls from the ceiling fan. The phone number is that of IBM (I've heard it's for IBM China but I'm not sure). Every time I've tried to dial the number, I get a busy signal (I don't think IBM anticipated the worldwide audience of this game...their phone lines will be tied up for a while!), but I expect that if you did manage to get through and dial extension 5339 you would get Leo's mailbox and his last name would be given. Then, just like you typed in peter.[something-I-don't-remember] for the username in the first episode, you type in leo.hu for the username in this episode because the usernames are of format [first name].[last name].
If anyone manages to get through to that phone #, I'd love to hear about it :).

And I am supposed to get in to #2 how? I have heard about the hat number and book number, but where do you FIND those numbers?

And what about the number on the popsicle stick? Tried it as the password, but it didn't work.

I think a good thing to keep in mind with this game (and probably most point-and-click games that involve an inventory) is that the items seem to fall into two categories: those that you can zoom in on and examine (and possibly interact with in that zoomed-in state), and those that you can't zoom in on but can drag and use to interact with the environment and/or other inventory items. Though it's true that some items fall into both categories...

Warning for #4: if you seem to be randomly kicked out of the game, it's because there actually is a "lose" condition for that episode...in fact, I managed to get 2 lose conditions (they're related) when I really should have known better. Go back in, think carefully about what you did, and try again.

Can I PLEASE get help for getting into #2?

You can use the ball on the card as if it were a scratch card. You'll get a number. And you're right, the number on the popsicle stick isn't the password...not the login password, anyway.

Ooooh, well, that is different. I'm not sure what's keeping you from being able to enter the room, though; are you talking about that dialog box that first comes up when you start the game? I think that box is just asking you to come up with a name for yourself that they can put on the high score table if you get one of the fastest times. In episode 1 I randomly hit some numbers on the number pad and it let me in; next time I used 1234; I have been using "dreamerblue" ever since. If you can't get in from that box, maybe you are trying to pick a name someone already has, or maybe you're having technical issues.

I need help with the safe code for #5. It seems to call for some research but I don't know how to go about it.

Doing a Chinese-to-English Babelfish traslation of the website an inventory item sends you to basically tells you that you need to know which players were in the initial formation of the recent World Cup's Tunisia-vs-Spain game. I didn't watch that game (and likely wouldn't even know the initial formation if I had) and I don't know where to find that out.

Ok, nevermind, my brand of research (looking to see if other gamers on other forums got it already) paid off. If you still need the safe combo for #5, you can check out this link.

Hunter, I can't get into 2 or 3. I tried them last night while I was stuck in 1, but today, when clicking on the arrow from the comic screen, I get an open door to the room, like it's already solved, same for #3. It will allow no interaction.

Finally got through them all, but yeah, Laynix, I agree, no idea how to get that code for the 6th game without "help" (read: spoiler).

Maybe if we knew the Chinese right in front of the code on the website that would help, but who knows.

I also thought that there was something beside that chair, since during the change-of-perspective animations there pretty much is something clearly there, but there isn't.

At least, nothing is there in episode 2 ;)...(hope that's not too much of a future spoiler for you, but I think sharp eyes should be rewarded :)!)

Cherry: tell us a little about what inventory items you have and what you've done so far so we can best tell you what to try next.

mellow: look at master_flea's posts above...one of them hints at how to get the ball.

FGM, I wish I could help, but no idea what is causing your game to freeze. Did you end up finishing #1? Have you tried closing all browser windows related to the game, clearing the cache, etc.? I don't know what would fix it but those are the first things I'd try, followed by restarting the computer, but I'm obviously no expert.

Mel: I'll get back to you once I reload #1...these episodes are all so similar that I can't keep them straight in my head anymore :P.

But Mel, to print the paper in Game #1,

push the small button on top right of the screen to print

And Mel, make sure that

you're trying to print the correct document. Don't worry about the fact that some of your inventory items haven't greyed out (just make sure all your inventory slots are filled); I think 3 of them aren't greyed out at the end because you just read them for information and don't really "use" them. If you get an error message, well, just like with your regular computer, make sure all the cables and power cords are attached.

Dreamer, No, I didn't finish #1, and still can't. I've gotten everything and 'used' all the inventory items. On my PC, it shows the file 'code' but doesn't do anything when I click on it - it doesn't open it, so I can't get to the file I need to print.

FGM - I have been having the same trouble, except in game #1. In #2 and #3 I got to the PC and logged on to get to the CODE file. But nothing happens when I click on it. The game just sits there. Clicking / double-clicking......nothing seems to work. The game works flawlessly up to that point. Anyone have any clues?

I am stuck on number 5. I have a few itmes missing 5. I was able to open the safe and get the

developer which I used on one of the clearor white paper/plastic? turned it red

I am also on #5. I am only missing 4 items, but I am at a standstill. I have:

glasses, funky metally thing, page with name at the bottom, computer printout, Triangular thing, book with webpage, and two colored pieces of what I believe to be glass.

Well i had to cheat like everyone else to get the safe open....... I still dont know where the code came from either, but I got it done. The ending was nothing different than all the rest?????? I would have liked to see something done or completed or a congratulations, or something. maybe there will be other levels added, but i doubt it!

in the box behind the picture, I put the three items in but when I click on the box a third time to open it, my screen goes back and the picture is just on the wall again. What am I doing wrong?

WHOO!!! I DID IT!! I GOT OUT OF NUMBER SIX!! WHOO!!! Here`s how you do it:

when you first start out, click on the left arm-rest of the chair directly infront of you to collect the LIGHTBULB. Zoom out of that, and click to your right until you see the watercooler. Click that and collect the iPOD. Click right or left until you get to the bookcase and click on the top of it. You`ll find the STATUE. I`m not sure what it`s for, but take it regardless. When I played, it greyed out on its own. Anyway, zoom out and click on the clickable box to collect the TAPE. Zoom out and click to your right. You`ll see the safe. Don`t worry about the code yet, there`s still more to do. Zoom in on the safe to collect the RED DUSTER. Zoom out. Click to your right and seat yourself at the desk, then click on the drawers to zoom in. Click the top drawer to find the FINGERPRINT SCANNER. There`s nothing else there to worry about, so zoom back out so you are sitting at the desk. Click on the bottom right-hand corner to view the trashcan and find the MIXER THING inside. Ok. Now for the fun part. Zoom out completly and turn the light off. Click on the iPOD to examine it and click it again to remove its BATTERY. Examine the FINGERPRINT SCANNER and put in the BATTERY and the LIGHTBULB. Click the MIXER THING and drag the RED DUSTER onto it. The MIXER THING and the STATUE should grey out. Face the desk and click the red cup to zoom in on it. Select the SCANNER and reveal a FINGERPRINT. Click the RED DUSTER and drag it over the FINGERPRINT. Do this until the SCANNER greys out. Then take the TAPE and drag it over the FINGERPRINT. The TAPE won`t change in appearance in your inventory, but you will have collected the FINGERPRINT. Zoom out and click on the laptop. Turn it on and take the TAPE and drag it onto the screen. Click on CODE and click on the FILE. Now, after reading what you can, zoom out of that and go over to the safe. Type in the number *18#63. Take the paper and TAH DAH!!! WHOO!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you people-who-knew-the-code-before-I-did! I was stuck on number six for WEEEEEEEEKS!!! I thought I was going to lose my mind. I really appreciate it. I wish there was a way we could translate that FILE so we could read it. It would make this whole game series a LOT more easier....but then...it wouldn`t be so much fun. Thanks again!

regarding the computer in game #1:

can somebody please explain to me how i'm supposed to magically conjure up the correct password?? there is nowhere in the game that points to that password. anywhere. does anyone have an explanation, or are we all just reading the answer off of somebody else?

Episode 1 Walkthrough

• First off, enter your name in the text box to enter the room.


• Finding items without having to use any:
  1. 

     Starting from the first screen when you enter the room (looking at the desk from the front, click on the red cup. Grab the white pearl inside.
  2. 

     Turn right to face the bookshelf. Click on the top-left part of the bookshelf to find a power cord. Click on the stack of boxes on the bottom-left shelf to find a second pearl. Click on the corner of the rug to find a key.
  3. 

     Turn right again to sit in the chair. Click on the lower-left corner of the screen to look at the drawers. The top drawer contains a power cord, and the bottom drawer holds a book.
  4. 

     Turn right again to face the wall with the two pictures and two chairs. Click on the corner of the rug to find some papers with a number on them. Click near the bottom of the left-hand chair to find a screwdriver (under the chair). Click on the armrest of the same chair to find a cable (between the cushions).
If you followed the instructions above, you will still be missing three items, but we'll fix that shortly. Now we'll start to use our items.


• Finding more stuff by using items:
  1. 

     If you're still on the screen with the two chairs and two posters, click on the heating vent behind the plant. Use the screwdriver to remove the four screws. (It will take six clicks per screw.) Grab the strangely-shaped piece inside the vent.
  2. 

     While looking at the same wall again, click on the safe in the corner. DRAG the key to open the safe. Take the paper that is inside.
  3. 

     Turn left to sit down in the chair. Click on the light switch to turn off the lights. (We're assuming you have very long arms in this game.)
  4. 

     Turn right again to face the posters. Click on the right-hand (white) poster to zoom in on it. After clicking on it about five times, it will fall, and a green outline will be visible. Click on the green outline to reveal a secret box.
  5. 

     Drag the two pearls and the strangely-shaped object you found in the vent onto the box into their proper positions. Click on the top of the box, but still close to the front of the box to open it. (Clicking elsewhere may zoom you out from the wall.) Take the plug from inside the box.


• Finishing the game:
  1. 

     Sit down at the computer again. (You can turn on the lights if you want.) Click near the bottom-right part of the desk to view an electrical outlet. Drag your plug onto this to plug it in. Drag both of the power cords you found onto this to plug them in.
  2. 

     Drag the final cord to the printer, to connect the printer and the laptop.
  3. 

     Click on the laptop to zoom in on it. Click the red button to turn it on. The username:

     , is given to you inside the book. The password, on the other hand, requires a bit more of an internet search to find... Again, we'll reference FGM's post on July 18, 2006 for the exact info on how to do this. But for those who are truely struggling, the password:

     But you're not done yet! Open the "Code" file on the desktop. Use one of the pieces of paper you found earlier to find the file number of the file you are to print. Open the file, and click on the print button in the top-right corner.
And you're out!

Episode 2 Walkthrough

• Enter your name in the text box to begin.


• Finding items without having to use any:
  1. 

     When you enter the room, click on the armrest of the chair in front of you. Pick up (what I'm assuming to be) a battery.
  2. 

     Turn right to view the water cooler. Zoom in on it, and press the top-right button to put water into the cup. Pick up the cup.
  3. 

     Turn right again to view the bookshelves. Click on the potted plant to find an ipod-esque device.
  4. 

     Turn right again to view the desk. Click on one of the items on the desk to sit down in the chair. Click on the garbage can to look inside it. Pick up the screwdriver.
If you've followed the directions above, you will have four items missing from your inventory. Don't worry about that, we'll find them now using the tools we've picked up.


• Finding more stuff by using items, and finishing the game:
  1. 

     Stand up again and look at the bookshelf. At about the center of the screen, there is a large box on the shelf. Click on it to zoom in on it. Use the screwdriver to puncture a hole in the box, and grab the laptop battery inside.
  2. 

     Turn left so you're facing the water cooler again. Click on the right-hand corner of the rug to look under it. Drag the cup of water to the hole to pour water into it. A bottle cap will float up to the top. Grab it!
  3. 

     Look at the ipod in your inventory. Drag the first battery you found onto it to install it. A code will appear on the screen.
  4. 

     Turn around so you are facing the desk. Behind the far end of the bookshelf, click on the safe. Use the combination you found on the ipod to open the safe. (NOTE, this does change every time.) Grab the key that is inside.
  5. 

     Sit down at the desk again. Click on the drawers on the left to zoom in on them. Drag the key onto the shelves to insert the key (into all three locks, strangely enough...). The bottom drawer contains a book to grab.
  6. 

     Zoom out from the drawers. Drag the laptop battery onto the laptop. Then, zoom in on the laptop and turn it on by pressing the red button. The username of "Administrator" is given for you, so you don't have to worry about that. The password is the three-digit number in the book, immediately followed by the three-digit number inside the bottle cap. (There are no spaces or other symbols.) Open the folder named "Code", open the only file, and click the print button!
And you're out!

May I ask, where did you all find your paperclip in #4?

episode 4 walkthrough

1. get paperclip from cup while behind desk
2. get file from third shelf closest to door
3. while facing clock click arm of chair to get safe code
4. open safe to get a liquid bottle
5. poor liquid into bowl on table
6. click on file with key shape (make sure lights are on) and place the paperclip NEXT to key shape
7. use paperclip on bottom drawer of the desk (getting a film piece)
8. go over to bowl of liquid and place film ABOVE! bowl not into it or you'll have to restart

so nice escape game i really like it!!!!

I can't even get to the game :(

I'm on the screen that says Developer Code with numbers 1-6 on the bottom, I click on 1, (or any of them) and nothing happens. Argh! I'm so addicted to these point and click/escape games....need another fix!!! help!!!

by the way, I tried it both in firefox and i.e.

in i.e. a popup window comes up at least, but the page cannot be displayed :-/

c.t. - when you click on one of the numbers, 1-6, a window pops-up and displays the game in it. Check your browser to see if you ignore pop-ups. That would be my guess.
