The CasinoAlways hot or cold, feast or famine around here while in search of those hard-to-find and yet worth-the-effort casual Web games to satisfy one's need for escape.

Anode and Cathode, that very talented French duo responsible for many hours lost inside their previous point-and-click adventures, have done it again.

The Casino is the latest of their efforts to put your clicky finger to the test. And while I found this one to be just slightly disorienting as compared to their previous efforts, the quality of workmanship appears to have been left intact.

So, if you're looking for a puzzling yet rewarding adventure, look no further than The Casino.

I would write more, and still may, but I have only just begun and didn't want to delay in posting this fantastic find. =)

Walkthrough Guide

(Please allow page to fully load for spoiler tags to be functional.)

For those who need a walkthrough. This is from akjul.com i copied their instructions here because their site loads very slowly.

Some more tips for those who only wants hints first

When the bartender gives you the tip

think about what bartenders like you to do, and act accordingly. If you still don't get it

Do you really need the money? If not, what can you do instead?

Also, there are lots of "optional" parts to this game. Example, if you click on the person next to the dealer of the roulette, he'll give you a sheet with a "puzzle" to solve which will help you find an optional you can later plug in to the computer game. This is NOT explained in the walkthrough below because apparently the person who wrote this walkthrough didn't figure this out, but anyway, like he said, you don't need to crack this to finish the game. As for the "office game", as someone else explained before, if you finish the game and look at the highscore list, the gregory3000 thing is to open the safe, which again isn't necessary to crack the game.

The walkthrough

1. From main lobby in casino, go to the cloakroom.
2. Click on the eyes a couple of times and get the banana
3. Go across to the lobby bank. Pick up a gold coin near the left row of slot machines, not needed but you can kill some time playing the slots. Note the total number of slot machines in the main lobby. 12.
4. Talk to the banker and enter 12 at the prompt. You now have permission to go upstairs.
5. Go to the poker table. Talk to the dealer. He wants to know which player he's betting on. When the dialogue ends, a fly comes out. When it lands on anyone of the players cards, click that player. You get some money.
6. Go back down to the bar. Talk to the bartender and order champagne. Pay with the "500" currency. When he serves you a glass, click on the white object in the glass and get a blue "A&C" chip. . Hell give you change and expect a tip "Hmmm Hmmm". Give him the change he retuned to you and he'll give you a tip for the roulette table. Play #10.
7. Before going back upstairs to play roulette, stop at the slot machines to the left of the bar and insert the blue A&C chip. Get a silver button. Go back upstairs to the roulette table.
8. Click on the roulette wheel with the "100" chip. When wheel opens, click on 10. When it comes up, you get a blue apple card.
9. Talk to the guy just left of the roulette dealer and get a riddle. There no need to solve the riddle to finish the game. I didn't solve the riddle.
10. Go back to the bank. Talk to the guy and give the guy the blue apple card and get a map.
11. Open the map and click on the house on the top left.
12. Click on the left hole under the porch several times and get a purple square with a hole in it and a banana. Go inside the house.
13. Open the small box on the floor in the group of three and get a banana. Then close all three boxes in the group and open the small box sitting on top of the larger box and get a key.
14. Go to the 1st floor bedroom and get the patch cord form the nightstand. Leave
15. Go to the bathroom to the right of the living room and tug the metal thing from the shower pipe and take the glass form the bathroom counter. Leave.
16. Go to the kitchen. And place the silver button from the slot machine in the hole of the microwave. Put the silver thing from the bathroom shower in the microwave and hit the red button. The wave blows up but you get a stone puzzle piece for later. Exit the kitchen.
17. Go to the upstairs bedroom
18. Click the painting on the left to get another banana and revel a safe. You don't have to open the safe to finish the game. I don't even have the code.
19. Open your map and go back to the casino.
20. Give the bartender the glass from the bathroom and get another stone puzzle piece.
21. Open your map and go to the middle building.
22. Enter the Hammam room at get the stone puzzle piece from the bench. Exit.
23. Go the Jacuzzi. Put the purple thing in the square and click it to turn on the Jacuzzi. A faint image will appear in the mirror in the lower right. Click on it to see some text "8th book in the 3rd" a clue for later.
24. Remove the small plate from the base of the wall in the rear and get another banana. Exit.
25. Go up the stairs to the left of the Jacuzzi.
26. Go up the stirs by stepping on the center dot, left, center, then right. If you do it wrong it will just send you back outside to try again. It's pretty much a trial and error thing.
27. At the top of the stairs, take your key and unlock the door.
28. You are in a computer room.
29. This part is difficult to explain because I'm not sure what I experienced, but plug your patch cord into the wall. The computer to the rear of the room needs a pass code. I didn't have one but not entering a code does not prevent you from finishing the game. Move on.
30. Click on the left computer. Play the game. Again, not sure what playing the game has on the overall outcome, but you need to blow up all of the objects in the "Office" by clicking on them repeatedly. Have fun for a few minutes. When the high scores show up at the end, click on "Quitter" at the bottom of the screen and return to the compute room.
31. Go upstairs in the attic and click on the purple book in the top shelf and get a text clue "13 notches and the key is yours".
32. Open the blue box on the left and get a banana.
33. Open your map and go the Mill on the right.
34. Pull the lever 13 times and a key will appear on the paddle wheel. Take and unlock the mill door.
35. Solve the puzzle to the rear of the room to reveal a ladder.
36. All rows, horizontal diagonal and vertical have to add to 15.
37. Top row 492, middle row 357, bottom row 816.
38. Go up the ladder. Put the stone pieces in the mural and click the guy's red nose. Another ladder.
39. Go up the ladder and give each monkey a banana, you should have 6.
40. Lasers open a door. Exit. You are basically done except for reading the text conversations.
41. Cheers

Good game. I solved it but I don't know what to do with the eu-coin or what the combination to the safe is ?

Score: 0 (0 votes) Vote up Vote down Report this comment Reply

EU coin is to "train" people to think about what to do with coins in general.

Safe has a clue for one of the puzzles, but it's not necessary to open it. The combination is hidden in plain sight.

Very good game, slightly cheesy ending though. Definitely took up my attention for a bit.

Anyhow, for those of you who were stuck at the very beginning stages, don't be discouraged, I actually found this to be a very good game.

This was the first point-and-click game i did on my own without any spoilers

concerning the euro

this is a distractor, you need a better token in order to win. to get the better token

you need to finish playing the roulette game

regarding the roulette

you need to find out which number to bet on from the bar tender. You cannot blindly guess because you only have one token and can't waste it.

Final spoiler for those who are still stuck at the beginning stages

Try swatting on the fly

Good luck. I can post a walkthrough if you guys want but I can't remember how I got through it so I need to play it again before i do so.

41. Cheers

Thanks to blue for the walkthrough. The computer on the right (step 29) needs a passcode from the optional riddle. The answer is 2682789. However, it's pointless unless you want to download some wallpapers.

The riddle's answer lets you access some wallpapers, which are basically screenshots from the game with an ad on the side. You don't even really need to solve the riddle to get it; it asks for

the number associated with the person in the solution

I got it without even attempting the riddle; here's how:

The blank where you enter the number has seven zeroes in it. Only one number in the riddle is seven digits.

Just enter 2681789 and you've got it.
