Nucleus

NucleusThis Flash game is from Scenta, the same UK folks behind Reverse. Also created by Mobasher Iqbal, Nucleus features the same minimalist-type graphics, which are clean and simple, and adds atoms and valence electrons to create a sort of platform jumping game that is a lot of fun. Timing is everything as you try to maneuver the blue halo to the goal by jumping from electron to electron. To make a successful jump, click the mouse on any atom at the precise moment when two electrons are closest to each other. Later levels add motion to the atoms that require you to click while moving the mouse, which is not as easy as it sounds. I've made it to level 20, but I think the level may be sabotaged as I cannot make the final jump to the goal. Has anyone made it past level 20?

Are you clicking on the "Goal" nucleus for the final jump? It looks like that nucleus is disabled for the final jump, as the hand cursor changes to a regular one when you make it there. Clicking on the first nucleus through the whole level got me there.

I'll bet that was the problem. Throughout the game it seemed to be that I could click on any of the atoms to jump. Who knew the last one would be different? I'll have to give it a try. Good score by the way!

30 attempts and you're done? Omiloord... And I thot that I was kicking ass when I went to 17 with 176 attempts... [hiding head back in hole]

bleh! :-)

i made it to level 20,and there are three stationary atoms at the top, with one 1/4 atom showing in the upper left corner. (what's up with 1/4 atom? cannot jump to it; too close?) then, there is one other stationary atom, the goal. then there is one moving up-down the right hand edge, and another moving left-right at the bottom. i cannot jump past two atoms to the right of the goal because the other stationary and the two moving atoms are all way out of reach. in fact, it appears that the top right atom is in synchronized revolution with the up-down atom (next logical jump, if it was ever close enough). what am i missing? just a hint please....
thanks, and i love this site...
imp

yeah...i got to level 20 also (14 attempts)...can't make the final jump. maybe there's something we're missing?

I got to level 20 in 1 attempt! Mwhahahaha! Sure, it took me 3 retrys, but I did it! I also cannot finish it...did the programmer make it that way so he didnt have to programin a 'Congratsulations' thing at the end?

You have to click on the first atom to make the final jump.

jay- the link doesn't bring up a window large enough for the game...

Thank you, dating, I've updated the link so it should be fine now.

Dude, that game sucks.

Why on earth would he make you clickon the first atom? that's so bizarre.

This game is cool, only got to level 15 but fun.

whats the password for level 20

20 is so hard! I made it there with very few attemps, but when I quit I was up to 70 attempts!

justin The code for twenty is below I made a list for anyone who is stuck on a level.

I finally made the final jump ^_^

EVIL .... wasted so many turn on the lats one i think he did it to make you realise you forgot the simple challenge of just getting atom to atom with out all the added chalenges ... LOL the lil red atoms were pointless they did not hinder me at all

I finished it with 37 attempts but I made the final jump by clicking on the final nucleus on level 12 unlike what BuG posted. Is it fixed?

Anyways, awsome game. I'm going to try to beat my score now.

game is so addictive

Just finished level 20. The main trick is to use the goal atom for all but the last jump, and then use one of the other stationary atoms for the final jump. The other trick is that you can hold the mouse button down as long as you want; the electron won't jump until you release it. So just hold it down until you have a good clear shot, and then let go.
