whats up with the 'bird's song' hint?

If you duplicate the song on the mushrooms, something special happens.

I've duplicated the song in the mushrooms, but nothing happens. Is there something I'm missing or forgetting to do? O.o

Is there actually any point to this game? Or do you just...relax?

whoah!!! the tree turned into a gong and the whole thing is floating!!

If you repeat the bird's song good, a light will fly into a tree. click the tree and the leaves will shrink and you will see a head in it. click on the head and the alien will apear on the mushroom. click him t make him go "into" the mushroom. click the mushroom again and he will jump into the dude's head. he will be lying on a floating patch of grass and stepping stones will lead to a gong behind him. the place will be floating up and down with an eerie breathing sound and three fireflys will be circling his head. hit the gong three times to switch theplace back to normal.

Wow. Some of the things that are available in the "secret exit" are really interesting. I don't understand it, but it's still awesome.

i like this a lot. My only complaint is how quickly it turns from night to day.

Playing Girl Boy by Aphex Twin during this game fits very well too, and I really like the alternate world after playing the mushroom song.

I like the chillout tunes (click the walkman next to the little guy to get the music player)

Also, the secret exit, which is under the log, doesn't seem to work right when I enter the game by way of the link off jay's site. Type out the address into your web browser if you just get moving green lines with nothing to interact with when you go down the secret exit.

ThomasJ - thanks for the alert. The problem was due to the size of the pop-up window in my javascript code. I have changed it to open a larger window with scroll bars. That should do the trick. =)

The game link seems to have changed! I found it at http://aim.adc.rmit.edu.au/students2005/toshiendo/safeplaces/sp.htm. Looks like they just removed the redirect from the original .net site.

The secret exit actually just takes you to the main site. =) No more game! It was fun playing this, and the music made it cooler. Playing Girl Boy wasn't available, though. =( Change mebbe? Anyways, the name fits the game - really chilled me out.

I like the secret exit that is pretty cool along with the thing that happens when you duplicate the song!!

I found something out...
If you click on the big tree twice, a room with a computer will show up. But.... If you click the tre beside it where the alien comes up, click on him, then the computer! Something cool happens!! :P

The secret exit is simply the creators web site. very interesting it also has his contact and everything and the computer in the tree is a sort of credits menu. this guys other work especially the city and even more so London thing with the planes its very intriguing but mysterious with no explanation to be found well i suppose that is just part of the emotion of wonderment and deep though that this website invokes.
