The Curse of Sylvaniah

The Curse of SylvaniahThe Curse of Sylvaniah is an action adventure platformer game created in Flash that has a decidedly old-school feel to it. Stylish pixel graphics, sampled sound effects, multiple weapons and a simple targeting system—just point-and-click with the mouse—make this game unique and fun to play. Coding by Mattias Stridsman, graphics by Cyril Guichard, and sound design by Justin R.Durban.

Great game! It would be perfect if they finished it and let us play the whole game.
I'll be waiting for an answer.

Thanks.

Have you been waiting long then?

I JUST stumbled onto this page.. And saw your post.

wierdest game ever.

Good graphics and sound (though the music does sound an awful lot like the main theme from FF3), but the controls are so counter-intuitive, with the directional controls and jumping all covered by one hand. That wouldn't be such a problem if not for all the small platforms and having to snag ropes and such.

Wow, no 2006 posts? Well then, allow me to be the first. Hey guys, give it a break. I think this was a very good game. I found the graphics amazing and the speed challenging. I thought it was hard to run around and balance your momentum. I liked it though. Thanks, Jay! Keep it up! Raise the roof!

I was fun game though a bit tricky.I wish the area to play the game was larger.Oh well....I guess I should go find more fun games to play.

Frustrating game due to dodgy collision detection on the patforms and the desperately unfortunate slippy shoe phenomenon causing your character to slide off of platforms.
Add to that the fact that the character goes from stop to sprint in a pixel's breadth and it all adds up to something which is potentially good, but flawed.

way too hard on the first level.

I can't kill the boss!!! he is just too powerful!!! and those damn bees are too small, I was never good with them...
Also, in the boss level, if you crouchslide down the second hill, you fall through the ground.

The power of the post jinx knows no boundaries.
Anyway, I still say the bees suck.

agree with jings, just crappy control over all. I'd rather hold Shift to run and have him move slower. Game seems geared toward finishing each level under a certain time for bonus. I ran around forever on the first level before I realized the "exit" point was up three levels and not all the way to the right.
