Shurizzle

DoraNinjadoodle's point-and-click puzzle game Shurizzle is about that most wondrous of solutions to all life's problems... the shuriken. Can't find a seat on the bus? Shuriken'd! Favourite show got cancelled? Shuriken'd! Cereal got too soggy before you were done eating it? Totally shuriken'd! Ask your doctor about what shuriken can do for you, but in the meantime, your goal here is to make a shuriken in each of the game's twenty levels. Each stage looks similar, but presents a different twist on its formula to assemble your heart's desire. All you have to do to play is click and experiment, figuring out the mechanic in each level that will reveal that pointy metallic goodness.

While most Ninjadoodle games tend to be gleefully over the top in silliness and colour, Shurizzle is a much more restrained affair with its simple colour scheme and presentation. It's a minimalistic approach that actually works in the game's favour, since its funky soundtrack and remix-style levels continue the theme. For the most part, Shurizzle isn't that difficult, and after a few clicks on each stage you'll probably have figured out how to solve it in the blink of an eye. It feels like it's designed for some zen-like relaxation on a coffee break, a simple yet satisfying mental prep rather than a full brain workout. It's exactly as polished and stylish as you've come to expect from Ninjadoodle, making it a fine homage indeed to nature's deadliest predator... the shuriken.

Okay, I'm stuck

I'm at the level with the button "A" and the starting number "4", which I believe stands for the number of moves I have to solve the puzzle.

@shjack

Try

holding down the A button for a while and see what happens.

I'm stuck at

the level where as soon as you click the star part to put it in the box, it jumps back out again. I don't know what I did, but 3 are in and 1 is out.

(Loud groan) POP. I figured it out.

I figured it out.

To get each corner to the position that is needed, keep the "A" button pressed until the corner of the shuriken is in the correct spot.

Thanks, CJTressler. I missed your comment before figuring it out, but I appreciate the help.

Levels numbers might have been a good idea, do you not think?
I'm stuck, no clue where.

I've got 4 grey squares.
It's the level after the one where you hold the mouse key down.
I think.

Okay, I know of two levels with four grey squares.

The first, just click and hold on each square until it fully lights up to the correct shuriken corner.

The second, do nothing. The picture will light itself.

Jumping out star pieces:

click a piece and click the same piece again when it is inside the box

Solutions

  1. (4 squares with shuriken pieces showing, but all oriented outward)

Just click each square until the pieces are oriented correctly.

  2. (4 squares, each with a rotating shuriken piece)

Click each square when the piece is oriented correctly. If you get it wrong, click the square again to restart the rotation.

  3. (top left and bottom right are empty, bottom left and top right have correctly-oriented pieces)

Click the top right square twice, then the top left square. Do the same for the bottom, but switch left and right.

  4. (empty squares in the middle, pieces on left and right)

The empty squares get filled in the following order: top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left.

Identify and click the pieces in the following order: belongs on the TL (located at bottom right), belongs TR (located bottom left), belongs BR (located top left), belongs BL (located top right).

  5. (squares arranged like first level, but now there's a red A button on the left and a red B button on the right)

Use the B button to select the square you want to affect, and the A button to rotate it.

  6. (looks identical to first level, but when you click a square, it turns gray)

First click selects a square, second click exchanges the pieces. (Assuming you don't just click the same square twice, obviously.)

  7. (all squares gray, and top left flashes white when you first start)

The flash is telling you which square to click. If you get it wrong, it resets.

    TL-BR-TR-BL

  8. (bottom right is empty, the rest are oriented wrong)

    It's a sliding-square puzzle (a very, very simple one).

  9. (empty squares in the middle, rotating pieces on the sides)

First, click on each piece to see where it goes. If it's oriented wrong (which is likely), click it again to remove it, then time your click so it's oriented correctly.

  10. (looks identical to level 5, i.e. A and B buttons on the sides)

If the A button is pressed, clicking a pieces flips it left to right. If the B button is pressed, clicking a piece flips it top to bottom.

  11. (blank squares like level 7, but they all flash white briefly when the level starts)

Watch the flashing very, very carefully, then click the squares in that order. If you get it wrong, it'll reset and repeat the flashing.

    BR-BL-TR-TL

  12. (all four pieces are oriented the same way)

Clicking TL rotates just that square. Clicking TR rotates both of the top squares. Clicking BR rotates both top squares and the bottom right square. Clicking BL rotates everything.

Click BL until that piece is correct, then BR until it's correct, then TR, then TL.

  13. (each square is half gray, half shuriken)

Click and drag each piece in the appropriate direction.

  14. (squares numbered 1-4 in the middle, letters TRAS on the sides)

Click the S, click the 1, click the T, click the 2, etc. to spell STAR.

  15. (red A button on the left, gray 4 on the right)

Click and hold the A button to start the first square rotating; let go when it's oriented correctly. Repeat for each square. If you get it wrong, click the A until the number resets.

  16. (four gray squares)

Click and hold each square until the image appears and "sets" itself with a little flash.

  17. (top left has a piece and it's oriented correctly, the rest are empty)

All the pieces are piled on the top left. Clicking a piece makes it move clockwise. The pieces always stack themselves in TL-TR-BR-BL order.

First, pile everything BL. Click three times (not four!) to move the pile to TL, leaving the bottom left piece in its correct location. Move the pile to BR. Click twice to move the top pieces to the left, leaving the BR piece in its correct location. Click BL twice to move the pile to TL. Click TL twice to move the pile right. Click TR once, BR once, and BL once.

  18. (four gray squares)

Do nothing: don't move the mouse and the image will appear.

  19. (blank squares in the middle, shuriken pieces on the sides)

When you click a piece, it briefly goes into its correct spot, then it jumps back out.

Click a piece, then quickly click it again (this time in its correct spot) to "set" it.

  20. (red A button on the left, red C button on the right)

The C button switches the left button between A (rotate) and B (select).

I don't like level 18 (see Reka's walkthrough).

It only started working when I went away to another browser window to look for a solution to it. Sitting around doing nothing is a lame device.

It was level 18, thank you!

I managed the others myself.
