LinkageDraw

kyhNo story, no cute characters, not even music. Masa's physics puzzler, Linkage Draw, keeps it simple, yet challenging. Like a child putting together blocks to match an overly simplistic blueprint, you are tasked with recreating a pattern using the set of pieces presented, both fixed and movable. It might not be rocket science, but it's sure to test your mental acuity. Through each of the 16 levels, you will be given two sets of pieces, the red locked pieces and the otherwise multicolored movable ones. You can connect the pieces together by dragging a black dot on one over the black dot of another. If you'd like to try another configuration, double-click a piece to unbind it from all other pieces.

linkagedrawYour ultimate goal is to trace the red line(s) on the level with the red dot on one or more of the pieces. How exactly to put the pieces together to do just that is where the challenge lies. It's not something that can easily be done in one sitting, so prepare to have yourself seeing red for awhile. A game lacking any flash or congratulations, you may need to just pat yourself on the back after completing each level... Or we could all get together in a semblance of the LAN parties of old and be there to pat each others' backs. No, no. Not creepy at all...

I like this idea a lot, but I wish there were some way to think it through rather than just throwing things together. I'm stuck on level 2 and have no idea even where to start, other than

that one piece fits between two of the fixed dots.

After that, I got nothin'.

@Lucie

You should start with putting the middle of the "three hole plate" on the right red fixer.

I've seen this concept before, but never in an online game. +5 mushrooms for originality.

I'm stuck on Level 3.

I've nicknamed the left red wheel "Port", the right wheel "Starboard", and the middle fixed point "Control". The three straight bars are "Tom", "Dick", and "Harry", from shortest to longest, and the triangle is "Delta". When Delta is oriented with the red point at the top, the lower left point is "Delta-1", and the lower right is "Delta-2".

I'm pretty sure that Delta-1 needs to be fixed to Starboard, but I'm unsure how to secure Delta-2. I've considered hitching Tom, Dick, and Harry all together in a Y and linking the free ends to Port, Control, and Delta-2, but I've tried every combination to no avail.

@SonicLover, my solution for level 3:

Connect Delta-1 to Control using Tom, Delta-2 to Starboard using Dick, Delta-2 to Port using Harry.

Thanks, James! I don't know how I would've been able to figure THAT out. Now, on to get stuck at Level 4...

@james may you explain your system to me...
@SonicLover

1. Connect the middle point of the three hole plate at the middle fixed point with the orientation "\".
2. Connect the red dot plate on the upper hole of the three hole plate, and put the red dot on the graph.
3. Connect the Shorter plate with one side on the upper turning and other side on lower hole of the three hole plate.
4. Connect the longer plate with one side on the lower turing and other side on the free hole of the red dot plate.

And I am stuck on the level 5...

Level 5:

The center of the place-able circle attaches to the static anchor, orientated so there are points at roughly 3, 7, and 11 o'clock.

The left rotating anchor gets connected to 11 o'clock with a non-drawing stick.

7 o'clock get's the larger drawing stick and will run up and to the right at about a 45 degree angle, and then attach to the right rotating anchor via another non-drawing stick.

3 o'clock gets the small drawing stick, down and to the right, and connecting to the right rotating anchor via the last non-drawing stick.

14.

Attach one end of each triangle to one of the wheels, and then a rod between the other point and another wheel.

Went on a Google search, and literally no one has beaten levels 15 or 16. Does anyone even have an idea as to where to begin on these two? Cause I don't.
