elleelle_nextplease_image1.pngWhat do you do when you're stuck between a hot spot and a spiky situation? Don't blow your jets, just shout out "Next, Please!" It's the answer to your problems, your creatures turned into stone steps or shields, in this way cool puzzle platform game by Vyacheslav Stepanov.

The trick is no sweat to pick up: play the [arrow] keys to move about, tap that [spacebar] to go solid, then hit [X] when the situation gets too stacked up and you'll blow those cubes (last one first). Be sly, save some orange creatures if you want to make the scene with high scores—their numbers are limited. If you run into bad news, [R] gives you another go. It has the same feel of The Company of Myself yet Next, Please lays on its own style of solid good time. It's real smooth, too, in the difficulty progression; there's the right amount of hand-holding as things slide up from easy peasy to a tad tough. With your hep skills and tuned-in smarts, you'll catch the vibe quickly, earning seventy-two stars and finishing twenty-four levels in a breeze.

Fun, having trouble stopping my right hand hitting Space to jump though!

Level 16 has me stumped.

@sklerf

You need to stop the Green block landing on the red button

Jump from the red button and make a block half way up

Not 72 stars, but hey!

The one thing I really appreciated about this one was that it did not become a pixel perfect timing exercise at the end.

I am sure those pixel perfect experts out there will disagree, but I enjoyed the fact that there was no "trick" level that required some humongous level of lightening keyboard skills:). There was not a level that could not be completed without a little thought.

One thing I loves was that the background pattern was aligned with your jump height, so it served as a useful reference point.

At the end:

After beating level 24 it went on to level 25, except it was just a copy the first level. Then every time I beat it, the level count would go up, but it would just repeat the first level each time. Is there supposed to be a proper ending?

[Yes, there is. Thanks for pointing it out! I'll see what can be done to fix it. ~elle]

It should be known beforehand.. so.

Ending is bugged! Still fun. :)

Hi everybody.

About the problem at the end:

Yes, sorry, there's a bug at the end: if you press the space after you beat the last level - you will go to infinite level 1 :)
To see the ending just play the level 24 again and don't press anything after you win it :)
I will fix that bug soon.

By the way my last name is Stepanov, not Stephanov :-P

[Deepest apologies! It's corrected now. Thank you for your very fun game :) ~elle]

A short but decent game. The game seemed (to me) much shorter than the number of levels indicated, maybe as a side effect of the number of levels which only introduced a new gameplay mechanic (button platforms, cannon, etc.), tutorial-style, with no significant puzzle involving that mechanic until the following level.

I was also rather disappointed in the final level, which

could be completed using zero blocks, like a middling level in any other platform game - totally disregarding the core feature that makes this game fun and unique.

The "destroy previous stones in reverse order" mechanic was interesting to use - it's a shame it was only useful in a few levels.

These are minor quibbles about an otherwise solidly-built game around a simple but flexible ability - all of which would be handily addressed by a follow-up sequel or level pack, hint hint.

I got to Level 8

Where you need precise timing to petrify during fall multiple times

After several tries, I got annoyed and gave up.

I'm more reminded of SeppuKuties than The Company of Myself.
